Bio: Lief has grown up in Celadon City. His family moved there before he was born because of the new job opportunities. The discovery of the Gem cause the little village to boom into a large city drawing in not only trainers but architects and engineers, doctors and scientists. It had caused a change in such a way that it would be hard to describe it to someone who had never witnessed it.
His father was one of these people, a biologist who happened to be good friends with the Leaf Gem Leader. He had moved here to help the leader study these Pokemon and why they were draw to the Leaf Gem. During their research the city grew up around them and Lief was born. The boy spent many of his younger years at home with his Mom but as he grew he was allowed to visit his father at work and soon discovered his love for learning about Pokemon.
Now he was finally old enough to join the gym himself and he was stoked.
