Jaxson trudged into the apartment, baskets in tow, after having his a** handed to him by the woman who walked in before him. She was insufferable, annoying, and yet he had been stupid enough to crawl into bed with her on a drunken whim. Now here he was, months later, attached to this woman by three vampire kids who may or may not try to drink their mother dry as soon as they can walk.
The apartment was clean and bright. It burned his skin, but only barely. After having been a vampire for centuries he had become accustomed to the unpleasant feeling of light on his skin, and had even gotten to a point where he could hardly notice it. He sat on the couch, eyeing his son warily, wondering if this time he could run off with all three of his kids instead of just one. As much as he hated Lux, she didn't deserve to die at the hands of bloodthirsty vampire newborns.
He turned his head to Lux and figured he needed to say something before the woman swung a machete at him. I'm... he mumbled just loud enough for her to hearI'm sorry I ran off. Do you still want me to live here with you and the kids?

Lux turns and looks at him. She stares at him and turns away."Even if I am pissed at you. You are still their father. You are staying here. Though you are not staying in my room. You will be on the couch. The baskets and I will be in my room." She definitely isn't trusting him with the children now. No way in hell.

Jaxson couldn't resist the opportunity to make a remark to the woman, even if she might kill him. He walked up to her, getting close enough to invade her personal space.What?! I can't stay in your room?? You sure seemed to enjoy it last time though sweetheart.... He smirked evily, knowing that he was going to get hit in the face for that one.

Lux- Watches him as he approaches and is about to growl and smack him when she realizes that would only be the reaction he is expecting. Not wanting to give in to that she leans forward and kisses him before walking away."That was then. This is now. You tried taking my son away. You don't get bedroom rights."

Jaxson had practically leaned in for the slap, only to find that he was being kissed instead. Memories of the drunken night flooded back into his head. She really wasn't so bad, was she? No. He couldn't admit that to himself.
He shook the thought out of head and was about to yell profanity at her when he realized it was like a game. The first one to chicken out of the romance loses! He moved even closer to her and wrapped his arms around her waist in an attempt to defy her expectations.Oh come on. You know you can't resist having me in bed again, hmm darling?

Lux really doesn't know what she was thinking. He is now gonna yell at her for doing that.. But gosh darnit! She didn't want to do what he expected. Yet she didn't think he would retaliate in kind. When he moves closer and wrapped his arms around her she sucks in a breath. Damn it.. She couldn't say she hadn't imagined what it would be like to be like this again.. But.. she can't trust him.. Not with her children. Shivering she takes a deep breath and shakes her head. No.. She can't let him win..She can't let him in her bed again. well technically it would be the first time in her bed.. but.. even so.. "You wish I could.. but in this matter I have to think of the children first.. So yes I will deny you in my bed. If circumstances were different would have been another story Jaxson."

Now that Lux was becoming serious again, Jaxson knew he had the upper hand. She sure was easy to freak out! He decided it would be incredibly funny to see how long she would believe his charade and besides, there was something about flirting with her that gave him a lot of gratification. You'll deny me in your bed, hmm? He said in a low, soft voice.But what about on the couch? He pushed her back onto the furniture and set next to her, wrapping his arms around her. Ohhh he couldn't wait for her reaction now.

Lux squeaks when she is pushed down onto the couch. Eyes wide she looks at Jaxson not knowing for a moment what to say. Getting her composure back she shakes her head."So let me get this straight. The guy that has always pushed me away when I wanted to get close is now trying to get with me again. No.. Nope. You hate me. You've made that very clear." Kisses his forehead. "Nice try but no. " Moves to get up.

He let her get up and he reorganized his things, no longer arguing with her about the room. The couch would have to be sufficient. Besides, it was easier to nab the kids when he didn't have to crawl out of Lux's bed and risk disturbing her.He had already sensed it on the kids...all three of them. They were vamps, just like him. It was only a matter of time before they needed to feed, and he couldn't risk them killing their family like he did.
I...I never said I hated you. But fine. I'll sleep on the couch for now. Okay?

Lux looks over and nods. "Good.. I don't want to argue over it any longer. As for hating me. Your actions and your persistent trying to take our children away say otherwise." Turning she takes the kiddo's into her room and locks the door. She thinks for a moment and gets a chair and stands on it and puts a windchime over it so if it opens it chimes. Then putting the chair back she stacks glass cups at the bottom of the floor. If he tries to get them again she will hear the sounds of glass crashing and windchimes. She has always been a light sleeper after all. Nodding her head satisfied she moves to curl around the baskets and falls asleep. Her body protecting the baskets and keeping them warm.

Jaxson settled in on the couch, throwing his headphones in so he could go to sleep. He had become accustomed to sleeping at night, even though it was against his deepest instincts, because he would have been found out long ago otherwise.He drifted off to sleep on thoughts of Lux and his children.
When he woke up in the morning he realized that Lux was still sleeping. Figuring he shouldn't piss her off any more than he already had last night, he got up and made breakfast for her. It consisted of a full plate of eggs, toast, and bacon with coffee on the side. He knocked on her door to wake her up so she could eat it before it was cold. Maybe now she would start to let her guard down, he thought.

Lux was blissfully asleep wrapped around her children when the sound of a knock on her door jolts her awake. Blinking a groan comes from her."Whhy'd you wake me up?" Yawning she rubs the sleep from her eyes and sniffs the air... Food? Getting up slowly she carefully moves from her spot and starts to put aside the glasses. Opening the door a crack she looks at Jaxson. Then at the plate of food."Who are you and what have you done to Jaxson?"

Hey! I'm offended by that. Don't be ungrateful! he said, as he flashed the girl a big grin. This was sure to get on her good side, and the more she relaxed the less likely she was to keep a super close watch on those kids. He put a hand on her shoulder and made a few more smart remarks before walking into her room. Now go eat it before it's cold. And before you even ask, I promise I didn't poison it. I can watch the little ones during breakfast.

Lux looks at him." I am not ungrateful.. I am highly suspicious of you. Waiting for the other shoe to fall so to speak. You have to have a end game here. Not buying this doing it from being good thing." Leaning back she turns to watch him. Hearing his next words she lets out a loud burst of laughter."Ah ha! I KNEW IT! You are trying to use this as a way to get close to the kids and try to take them away! Nope! Not happening.. Plate in the dining room. " Moves and grabs a hold of the three baskets and makes her way to the dining room and puts them on a big comforter type pillow and puts a blanket over half of the baskets. She makes sure they are all safe and warm before she gets to the food.

Jaxson grumbles, trudging heavily behind the girl. Why? Why did she have to be such a giant pain in his a**? He let out a giant sigh and grabbed himself a plate, heaping the food on in large quantities.
He had already decided it, this was going to be hell. Not just "wow its hot down here" sort of hell but "Oh crap, NOW you've gone and pissed off Satan" 6th level of hell. He sat across from her at the table and glared at her. She was like a demon. The devil....a sexy devil....a sexy devil that he once got to sleep with.... and before he knew it he was no longer glaring, he was staring at her with his jaw dropped. He frantically snapped his jaw shut and took a huge bite of eggs to distract himself. Damn. Hopefully she didn't see him doing that.
