Homestucks tend to be the artists I trust the most. xp Move/delete this thread if it's inappropriate, and my apologies if so.
In a few months I'm getting my first tattoo, and I know what I want but I don't exactly have a design for it, so I hoped some of yall could kick around ideas with me. For those who know the Kingdom Hearts series, I'm getting a small image of Rainfell (Aqua's blue keyblade) in the center of my back. For those who don't know it, there's a pic here.
So here are my questions.
1) Should I get it in the center of my back, as planned?
2) Would that be easier or harder to add other designs to if I want to later?
3) Would there really be a difference in pain between getting it on the spine and going diagonally across it on the upper-middle back?
4) If I get it diagonally, reaching up towards my heart, will it look unfinished or empty when it's done?
The biggest reason to get it done that way instead of straight up and down would be in case I want to have another keyblade (or similarly shaped image) run across it later. Admittedly that'd look cool, but I don't at the moment know of anything with equivalent meaning I'd want to put with it, and I've been planning this one for several years so even if I stumbled across the perfect object tomorrow I'd still have just Rainfell there for a long time.
5) For symmetry and more on the same theme, I could have it crossed with Stormfell, her other keyblade, which is basically just a purple version of Rainfell, but as much as I would have no idea what to cross Rainfell with, I also worry and want to leave the space (and money) available in case something equally important DOES come up. Thoughts?
6) I am open to ideas for embellishments going with Rainfell, and other suggestions for location so long as they are in the center of my back. I am not planning on this being large or very detailed, but I am open to it.
Thanks for any input, dovies.
