Hello, young'uns. I seem to be in a bit of a jam and I'd like to request your assistance. I am going to enchant an item for demonstration at the start of the year, and I require a quartz crystal, six pieces of cedar about six inches long each, some iron wire, and orange juice.

The orange juice isn't part of the demonstration. I'm just thirsty.

I will offer a point per item. If you can get the cedar to me charred, I will make the cedar worth two points instead of one.

Averill walked past, read the notice, stuck his hand in his pocket and grinned.
A love of gemstones usually meant there was one on his person at all times.

"May as well go get the juice too." He mumbled to himself, heading to the dining hall and back.

In the end, Averill showed up at Vadomlis door with an orange juice and quartz, balanced on a block of cedar.

Averill Hammershod

Averill wandered down the hallway, a few chunks of wood strapped to his back.
He dumped them by Vadomlis door.
"I think these are cedar, sir."
He was quite annoyed that he didn't know any firestarting spells yet, and the chunks of cedar did not properly fit over the cooking flames in other labs at school. Straight up lighting of non magical fires was probably not encouraged, he reckoned, so he had to give the lumps of wood to the teacher completely uncharred.
