Hello again, I'll use this place to show some of my WIPs hoping You will help me to point stuff to improve! The sooner I'm fixing, the easier it is.

So, here's my current struggle, from sketch to the point I got to:

As always, I got stuck on background with random paintdrop clouds and barely visible trees sweatdrop But the hard part is that the picture is supposed to be continuation of

as a 'later scene' but I'm pretty sure it should be still burning, tones of smoke, etc. Right? And what about the sky then? I didn't feel like keeping it all grey like in a previous pic not to make it a straight copy but It shouldn't be that clear probably emotion_0A0

That looks great ^^ Um it depends on how much later it is. It could be closer to night by then with all the smoke having dissipated. I'm not really amazing at backgrounds myself to be honest heh...

Right, as You can see on second latest wip, I was actualy going to make it a nightime but I was told to fix it to 'earlier' after telling me to make it a 'next scene of the story' eek I'm getting confused with people sometimes emotion_sweatdrop

She is really super cute! And your lineart is really crisp! :3
I can see you're already pretty far along with this one but the one thing that throws me off is that her arms look short to me, but they might not actually be short anatomically it's just how you placed them...especially her left (our right) when I tried to kneel and do that pose I had to purposely overextend my arm/hand to do that where it would have felt more natural to just let it lay across my knee/leg with a more relaxed shoulder. Hopefully that makes a little bit of sense.

Also with the previous drawing with the two people, it looks great and there's a lot of finish on it that makes it come together. The thing is it just looks like they are standing next to each other and only interacting where they absolutely have to, the drawing that you referenced as the continuation from was a good example of how the planes of their body should be facing each other in a couple/interacting drawing.

Anyways, keep workin away and I'm looking forward to seeing the drawing for that contest done she's really cute! (I hope you do add back in the background with the water too!) ^^

Oh geez, You're right! Guess I shouldn't have thrown away a sketch that quickly sweatdrop but I can see that her left arm is way shorter now and even though my hand didn't hurt trying this position, it would lay almost on my knee... Also, thanks to You, I took another look on anatomy and realized that her calf is too long comparing to thigh... Well, at least I didn't got too far with colors emotion_sweatdrop but it would look so silly with those arms and legs like each from another set so I really appreciate Your help emotion_bigheart please share Your advice anytime You see something to correct!

They look lovely!

I think what got my attention was that for the one with a scythe - none of her hands actually look like the are grasping it.

Aside from that I think you're doing good - even though they are chibi's they look balanced and your shading is really nice so far!

They look lovely!

I think what got my attention was that for the one with a scythe - none of her hands actually look like the are grasping it.

Aside from that I think you're doing good - even though they are chibi's they look balanced and your shading is really nice so far!

Yeah, I was trying to copy the pose from avatar I was depicting but now I can see that with just copying and no thinkng the pose actually makes no sense sweatdrop I will pay more attention to it next time~
