g a r d e n s When the new captain stepped into the fray, ready to revitalize the crumbling squad that was Six, she immediately started making changes to the area. The first was to build a beautiful garden where she could help guide her patients in a sense of calm before she could effectively treat them. It is where her squad can come to restore their sense of peace and balance. After all, how can she expect them get into someone's mind, to understand them, and to heal them, if they are in a state of chaos themselves?
The captain is a water manipulator, and can create different shapes and spheres in the waters based on what the patient would like to see. There's also that added benefit of complete and utter serenity when surrounded by lush flowers, beautiful trees, and the ever soft trickling of water as it cascades over the falls.
Peace. Serenity. That is all.

Ji Jo Cho -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ji strummed his small instrument in his lap lovingly and heard the sound of the plugging create a beautiful note before spreading out from the stone he was perched on across the water.
"The strings of life are but little threads. There are so many connecting us to this world and what it stands for but there remains within a fragility. Like a sewing circle, the strings are passed from hand to hand so that they may be strewn together and form what our existence means. Why isn't it done? Why isn't it perfect? Why can't we see it? Is our existence so unclear that we weave these strings wearing blind folds?"
Ji stopped at the last sentence with a hesitant mouth. He loved these gardens but, when possible, his string on philosophy seemed to continue on an endless questionnaire on existence. "Best not to touch that string, eh?" he said as he took another hand and plucked several strings in succession. Ji could feel the vibrations on his bandaged fingers.

Misaru Kuraishi Though he was only four years old, and often had the quiet mannerisms associated with someone his age, Misaru showed an intelligence that was well beyond his years, especially when it came to avoiding attention. He seemed to understand exactly where he needed to go. Or he was just extremely lucky. One or the other. It was amazing how, if he truly put his mind to it, he could sneak around the seireitei completely, as far as he could tell, unnoticed by anyone around him. Of course, it did seem as many of those that he did spy as he skirted around the edges of the individual squad headquarters were heavily distracted or entirely absent because of something that was going on elsewhere. He had no idea what it could be, but so long as it didn't include a cry of alarm saying that the captain commander's son was missing, he was alright with that.
As it was, he had managed to get from his home all the way to the newly constructed gardens inside six. Just over there was the candy shop that he and his mother had gone to more than once in their time to get a rather nice bowl of ice cream, but nothing else was the same. It had been destroyed that day Kasa was taken apparently, and the new captain was recreating the place in her own style, her own desires. It was a nice place, and his little friends couldn't help but agree. This would be a good place to rest, for now.
Misaru pulled the bag off of his little shoulders, exhausted from his hike already. He hadn't slept all too well the night before, or any night really recently. His energy waned ridiculously fast for a child his age, but what could he do? Too late now. He sat underneath the shade of a tree near a little lake, hidden from the nearby paths and pulled out the stuffed bear Kasa had given him. The one that still smelled a little like her. He wrapped his tiny arms around the bear and curled up into himself, his golden eyes warily watching the world around them. For the first time in ages, he was actually a little hungry, the tiny bite he had had when he woke had not satisfies him, but had not taken the time before to grab something before he left. He regretted that now.
Tears welled up in the little boy's eyes as emotions overwhelmed him once more. Loneliness, confusion, fear all mixed in with the crippling sadness that had consumed him the last few months. "What do I do, Kasa?" he asked quietly, his eyes on the bear as he folded his legs into his lap. Maybe... maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. Maybe he should go back until he had a more formal plan, but now that he was out... he was sure he wouldn't get a chance like this again. What did he do? He wanted to find her, to go after Kasa himself, but he had no idea where to look, or how to take care of himself. What did he do? He swiped at his eyes angrily as the tears flowed down his cheeks, trying to decide if he should just go back home and wait, watch for another chance with a full bag of snacks, or if he could keep going and hope that someday he could try again. Or Kasa would return. Whichever came first. But the tears wouldn't stop. What was he going to do?
'Misa-nyah! Look!' the voice called to him, drawing Misaru's attention to the tree that he sat under. Dots of varying shades of red dotted the tree's foliage over his head. What were those, he had asked with a sniffle, only to be told that they were 'Apples-nyah! Lots of apples-nyah!' before one toppled from the tree, loosened by his friends, falling at his feet.
Misaru seized the red apple with relish, rolling it over in his hands. The last time he had eaten an apple, his mother had cut it up into thin slices and offered peanut butter for him to dip into. He had no peanut butter, nor a way to cut it, if he hadn't been forbidden to do such a thing, but the apple was still god send. Within seconds, lost in his memory of that day, he was nibbling away at the fruit, the sweet flesh mixing in with his salty tears through each and every bite.
Such a delicious apple....

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... Kiyo had been wondering around the Squads, just reminiscing about the olden times, when Ko, his partner insisted that they stop in Squad 6. Oi, what are you upto here Ko, dragging me to Squad 6, that place was an empty ruin last time I was there. To which all Kiyo got in retort was a "You'll see" and see he did.
That empty ruin was now a vast and blooming garden, full of life and energy. Now he understood a bit better. But what made things so crystal clear was a young boy sitting in the center of the field, under an apple tree. Kiyo was in pretty causal wear, but he figured it would be best if he didn't have Ko showing at his waist, so he moved her shifting her under his large blueish brown cloak as he approached the young boy slowly, trying to be careful not to scare him, he calmly cleared his throat from a distance and tried to greet the boy. "Hello there little one. Mind if I join you?" Kiyo gave his best smile he could, he remembered when Seri would always cry after being startled by him suddenly. Kiyo hadnt really shaved in a while, and his beard was pretty clear evidence of that, but little ones always loved the beard for some reason, so he hoped it would be alright.
To make himself look less intimidating to the boy, he plopped down on the spot, sitting right down. Kiyo could tell there was some intense pain around the boy and would do everything he could to help.
He just couldnt turn off that switch after all it seemed. So lets get things in gear Mairon-san Kiyo has arrived, as promised smile

Misaru Kuraishi The apple was crisp and fresh, full of moisture that dribbled down his chin, splashing his jacket with the sweet mess that satisfied the minor hunger pains that had made themselves known just a little while before. Though they had dammed themselves, the traces of tears were still evident on his face, and continued to add a touch of salt to the sweetness of the apple. He'd take a couple of these, he decided, stuff them into his backpack before he moved out from here. Kasa would like the apples, he was sure, when he found her. What better treat could he offer her?
But he wasn't alone. In spite of his attempts to ensure he was seen during his approach, the tired four year old did not register the man until he cleared his throat and spoke, causing him to jump almost a mile out of his skin. He turned his nervous, red stained eyes to the man as he moved, plopping down in front him while asking if he could join him. As if Misaru had a choice in the matter.
Almost instantly, the boy drew back, using his wet hands to grab his bag and pull it closer to him. "Go way. I find Kasa by myself! Won't let you say no!" he said, squaring his shoulders even as he warily watched the man before him. If he made a move to take him home, he would scream bloody murder and high tail it out of there. Surely someone would answer his call and keep the guy off of him long enough for him to get away and disappear from the place. Right? Then he could be on his way and find Kasa. He wouldn't let this guy stop him. "Won't let say no..."

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... So much for not frightening the boy. Kiyo wanted to try to be the least possible scary he could be for the little guy. He had to think carefully on how to do this so that the poor boy wouldnt get even more frightened and riled up. "Who is Kasa? Uncle Kiyo promises he wont try to stop the brave little man. But maybe Uncle Kiyo can help such a brave little man?" Whenever Seri was little she would get a pouty "imma do it on my own!" face, and Kiyo picked up a trick or two here and there with it.
This little boy was terrified, clearly hurt and frightened. Something terrible;had to have happened to the poor guy.
Kiyo, your not going to... He heard Kodoushin's thoughts echoing in his mind.
Yup.
*sigh* you really cant turn off that Daddy Switch now can you? Kiyo laughed internally, he really couldn't just turn off that Dad mode. He wanted to help the little guy out, so he pull his bag off his shoulder and dug around, trying to find some food or water for the little boy. He had a few things in there, most of it bread and some traveling rations, but one of his personal weaknesses was bread with honey. He would take it out of his pack, taking a butter knife and opening the jar of honey carefully and spreading it on the bread, before he would hold it out in his hand to little Misaru, offering it as a gift and trying to show that he wasnt going to hurt him. So lets get things in gear Marion-san And engage "Daddy Mode" Kiyo XD

Misaru Kuraishi Clutching his bag tighter still to his chest, along with the teddy bear that he removed from its depths, he warily watched the man--'Uncle Kiyo' he had called himself--dig through his own, looking for something after telling him that he wanted to help somehow. Misaru offered no explanation as to who Kasa was, feeling that the less he said, the better. Maybe that was why he had barely spoken in two months, his words trailing off more and more with each passing day. Maybe if he was quiet, the adults would leave him alone and do what they had promised countless times and bring Kasa home to him. Or something. But now it was a matter of self-preservation. If the man hadn't made the connection, then Misaru was not about to enlighten him and risk being forced to go home.
Besides. What sort of help could this man offer him anyways?
After a few moments, an unmistakable scent filled the air, drawing Misaru more fully out of his daydreams as he focused on the piece of bread that the man was offering him. He blinked as his eyes slid between the man and the bread that was obviously slathered in a bit of sweet and sticky honey. If he hadn't just had an apple, he wouldn't be able to keep himself from snatching it from the man's hands and gobbling it down. Honey, after all, was well up there on his list of favorite sweet treats that Kasa would let him have on a regular basis without having to worry about getting too much sugar (as if that was an actual thing) in the child. He loved honey. Anything sweet really. But... after the apple, he just wasn't that hungry, and the honey might make too big of a mess. After a long moment, Misaru swallowed hard and shook his head. "I.... N-no.... Kasa... wouldn't like...." he said quietly, as if it had pained him. Oh he wanted the bread. He wanted to take it with him, save it for later. Apples and honey and bread. All for Kasa when he found her. But he just couldn't. He just couldn't....
He shifted then, opening his bag and tucking his teddy bear away inside. If the man was paying attention, he would have seen how little else was inside of it: a change of clothes, paper and crayons, a toothbrush, and a bottle of water. Hardly the pickings for a child with a plan to leave, but not really one for someone just out for a fun playtime in the afternoon. He picked up a few of the apples that had tumbled to the ground beside him, no thanks to his tiny friends, and tucked them away inside too.
When finished, he looked wistfully over to the man again, changing his mind in the last second. "Good honey?" he asked, taking the bread from him now and studying it. Kasa really might get mad if she found out he was taking sweets from strangers, as she had forbidden him to do over the years, but he could hardly say no. "No bad? Is good?"

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... Kiyo would let the boy snatch the bread with honey out of his hand, making no subtle movements, hardly moving at all. He wanted to let the boy relax and be at ease. He was clearly high in tension already, the last thing he needed as a scare.
He was nervous and asked if it was good honey, still very unsure of himself, whoever had raised him taught him not to take sweets from strangers, a smart person. Kiyo never really needed to do that with Seri, everyone knew exactly whose daughter she was and the hell there would be to pay if someone hurt a hair on her head.
"Promise. Good honey. No bad. Uncle Kiyo promise." He would talk simply for the little guy. Kiyo's goal here in the end was to help this child, whatever that meant. Whether it was finding this Kasa person, or helping him just lie down for a nap.
"I have a friend with me, does the brave little guy want to meet her?" Kiyo wanted to bring Ko out of her Zan anyways to enjoy the field of flowers, but on top of that, the way she mothered even Kiyo at times despite his age made him think that it would be a good idea for her to talk with the little boy too. So lets get things in gear

Misaru Kuraishi Good honey, huh? And the man promised? Misaru gave him a wary look before his golden eyes dropped to the bread in his hands, wondering just how much trouble he would get into if Kasa ever found out that he had pointedly disobeyed her to get a sweet treat that looked so tantalizingly delicious. He was sure his backside would be scarlet for a month if he even dared to take a bite, if she found out. What should he do? What could he do? With a sigh, he vowed that Kasa would never, ever find out about this indiscretion (until his mouth ran away with him at least) and took a nibble of the gooey, sticky bread. Mmm. That sweet honey... It was too bad he wasn't all that hungry right now. Save it for later. Setting it down, he opened his backpack and pulled out the only clothe there was in its depths clean and pliable enough to do what he wanted. After folding the bread in half, he tucked it inside the spare shirt he had brought along and stowed it back inside his backpack, not even considering that the sticky honey might leak out of the bread and ruin his clean change of clothes.
After that was stored, he turned his attention to the other matter at hand. The man, who insisted on being called Uncle Kiyo, was asking him if he wanted to meet his little friend. After a glance around the area made it clear that he was alone, Misaru glanced over to his little friends, confusion in his eyes. Was his friend like Misaru's? Tiny and small? Invisible to everyone else, though he spoke often of them.
"She small, like Ikuto and Kumiko?" he asked quietly, warily. "Or big like Misaru?"

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... Kiyo smiled gently, as the boy nibbled a bit of the bread and honey, as he folded it up and wrapped it in a spare shirt. He asked curiously about his friend, whether she was small like two others, he guessed spirits of the boys, or big like him. "Hmm, shes a big girl. Very nice. I'll show you." he shifted his cloak and took out his blade, still sheathed, and placed it into the middle of a field of flowers. "Come on Kodoushin." He spoke three short words, including her name as he placed a small bag of powder on the blade, before it glowed and then swirled around with reiatsu and a petal storm, before it quickly quieted down, leaving a woman where the sword was. She was fairly tall, still a head shorter than Kiyo, she had a flowing white gown and flowers in her blond hair.
Kodoushin opened up her eyes and looked down at the boy, smiling gently with her normally harsh green eyes seemed calm and at peace. "What a wonderful garden you have here little one. Is it okay if I join you? I dont want to intrude on such a wonderful place."
She was being honest, if he said no, she would return to her Zanpakuto and let Kiyo handle it. So lets get things in gear

Misaru Kuraishi His eyes widened immeasurably as he watched the woman growing out of the storm of petals around the sword. If he hadn't already seen something similar happening with others more than once when he followed his mother and/or father around while they worked, he might have completely freaked out and run away. As such, though his eyes were a little wary, noting that there were now two adults (of a sort) before him, there was no other extra tension in his tiny shoulders. When she spoke, he held firm, keeping himself back against the tree, his sticky hands clutching at his treasured pack.
"Not mine..." he murmured quietly, risking his eyes drifting away for a moment to look around. It was an impressive array, considering, from what he had understood, this land was left desolate just a few weeks ago. Back when Kasa was taken. Tear unexpectedly welled in his eyes at the very thought and he immediately dropped his gaze, hiding his face in the harsher folds of his pack. "You stay, but I go soon. Have find Kasa... because Daddy don't do it. Misaru find Kasa...."

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... Kodoushin seemed like she was going to get along well with the little one. But Kiyo still worried. This little boy was all alone, clearly terrified and hurt and upset. Clearly whoever his Daddy was, wasnt doing a good job. "Why do you have to go by yourself? Uncle Kiyo and Auntie Ko will happily help." This poor child was hurt, and lost and alone and by the divines Kiyo was not about to let such a hurt child leave on his own again. So lets get things in gear Marion-san Sorry for the crappy post and the wait, life and stuff

Seri wandered into the Squad 6 gardens. She hadn't been to them yet and she enjoyed seeing other people's gardens. She didn't expect to wander upon her father and Ko-chan and a little boy. She blinked at the group. "What is going on?" she asked.

Misaru Kuraishi Slowly, he lifted his head at the offer to come along, visibly sizing them up. Would he be safe with them? Kasa would get mad, he knew it, if he showed up the hands of strangers, even if it was to rescue her, to bring her back home where she belonged. Besides, though the man had offered him honey, and had shown his friend to him, Misaru just couldn't be sure that he was as trustworthy as he tried to present himself. His gaze returned to the man =, allowing him to see his tear-filled, sad eyes. He shook his head, clutching his bag with sticky hands. "Cuz Ji-san make me back..." he said quietly before shifting his weight to stand up still as far from the man as he could manage.
When straightened, he was still shorter than the man, but he did not let that bother him too much. He was used to being small, even if he was tall for his age. There weren't many children here, after all.
"Ji-san no take Misaru home. Want find Kasa... So no ji-san--" he broke off when another voice entered the fray. This time it was that of a woman, which caused the child to start unexpectedly. He stumbled back and tripped over an exposed root of a tree, tumbling into a nearby muddy puddle that doused the child in mud that may have blurred some of his more dominant identifying features. Though it may have still been obvious, to anyone looking closely, just whose child he was, it should have taken some time now. Perhaps.
"Nothing!" he said to her, wishing now that he hadn't stopped for the apples, even though he was tired and little hungry at the time. "No one here, so go way!" Rude or not, the more people that came, the less likely he would be able to get out, and he knew it.
He had to find Kasa. He just had to!

Kiyo's Main ThemeWell I guess it's time to get going now... The little boy was afraid of going home eh? Kiyo could only assume something bad happened at his home, an abusive parent possibly the whole home being gone. Kiyo would not try to take him back, but he wasn't going to just let this little boy wonder around all by himself. " Uncle Kiyo promises he wont take you anywhere you dont want to go little one." Seri had arrived, maybe she'd be able to help him convince the little boy that he was here to help. He would stand up and Ko would sit down close to where Kiyo had been sitting, giving little Misaru distance.
"Ah Seri, its good to see you. I found this brave little man all by himself here so I thought I'd chit-chat with him." he put on a smile and spoke his words, trying not to let Misaru feel threatened, he wanted to help the boy, not hurt him even more. He moved close to Seri, hugging her, and he whispered into her ear, "Poor kid is lost and pretty hurt emotionally, I'm trying to help him out and Ko wanted to help out too, think ya can give us a hand?" He hoped that Seri would be able to help a little, or at least wouldn't try to drag this poor boy back to a home he very clearly wanted nothing to do with. So lets get things in gear
