[Personality:] Cata is playful and generally hard to upset, and can be a friend to anyone. She's quick-minded and always an advocate for peace and the simple pleasures of life, having not been particularly wealthy. However, she's by no means a pushover, having a fiery attitude to match a sharp tongue when she's angry.
[Bio:] Catarina was born and raised in a gypsy camp to two loving parents and a caring community. As a child, she was great friends with and later betrothed to one Adrian Silivasi. Her happiest memories come from the nightly festivities around the campfire, when she'd pull Adrian into the circle and make him dance with her. Shortly after Cata received her engagement ring and was promised to Adrian, there was an accident. Some travelers passing by had a spooked horse pulling a carriage, which ran straight into Catarina and Adrian's mother, appearing to have killed them both. She was kidnapped while knocked unconscious, and that was the last that she ever saw of Adrian.
The slave traders (as that's what they were), had been looking for easy pickings near the camp, but had only found her. Cata was sold off to a market, and almost instantly picked up by a master. He turned out to be a vampire with an extremely sadistic streak, and her, his plaything. Many times she was beaten to the edge of death, and brought back. One particular night, Catarina actually passed away - moments after her master had accidently turned her. Thinking she was dead, the vampire dropped her corpse into a river and never looked back. Ever since, Cata has been looking for a place where she can belong, preferably in the company of others like herself.
