Many things have happened, and things are changing. The Keepers of the Elements have seen something coming. What ever is coming is causing natures Fire, Darkness and Lightening to go haywire. The Keepers have thankfully been able to control everything just fine, but they still have problems with wild fires, sudden storms and large black outs. Three of the Keepers are missing and can't be found. They have been claimed as MIA (Missing In Action). And now new Keepers must be found. Each Keeper must find their Holder. The next in line to Keep an element where it belongs, the Holders of Fire, Darkness and Lightening are warned. As they wont be able to control their abilities well. Once the Keeper comes in contact with their Holder, the Keeper will fade and turn into a fragment of their Element and then morph into the shape of an animal, and become the Holder's Familiar until the Holder can completely control their Element and become a Keeper.

Lightning - TAKEN Earth - OPEN Ice - TAKEN Water - TAKEN Fire - OPEN Flora- OPEN Fauna - OPEN Night - OPEN Day - OPEN Sound - OPEN Wind - OPEN Darkness - taken
Keepers thats are open: Darkness - TAKEN FireLightningHolder spots open: 8 Keeper spots open: 3 Fire, lightening and Darkness Keepers can't turn into Familiars for their Holders, so those keepers will be open as characters. Each Holder will listen to the Keepers rules automatically. For Example: "Don't touch it!" He yelled forcefully. Her hand froze in motion and she backed up, looking at her Keeper with a straight face. It will not be: "Hey, get me a soda." He mewed, her feet heading to the fridge quickly. Fire, Lightning and Darkness are the only ones under this, it's called Word Binding. Word Binding means: The more forceful the words, the more likely the receivers body will move on its own to the command.

 Christine Aberthon frowned as she tapped her multicolored nails on the gazebo's railing she stood at. It was in a park overlooking a duck pond-though ducks had left quite recently thanks to the shift in the weather. Now, the rain was thudding steadily around her, as the darkness from the storm was lit up by frequent flashes of lightening followed by the resonating boom and roll of thunder. It was beautiful in Christine's opinion. She watched the storm with her mismatched eyes from her spot in the gazebo catching raindrops with her hand not busy tapping the rail she leaned on. She knew she had ended up in this particular town more times than many towns. She was fairly sure she had been there twice in the last three months for a day or two each stay. Then again there were towns she hadn't ever returned to. It was more of her acting on whim than anything, though. Half the time she just put a map up on the wall and threw a dart at it blindfolded to pick her next destination. She just ended up hitting some places more often-then again don't they say lightening tends to hit the same place twice more often than not? Shaking her head she sighed straightening and just being thankful that her family had the financial ability to support her whimsy. Then again, she was fairly confident it was done just because it was easier to have her away from the family estates than to be around. It was an agreement that worked for her much older brother who had inherited the estate a few years ago and it worked for her. She had no complaints as long as she was allowed to do as she pleased. And, today she found a storm of the wildness with the surge of electricity anyone could feel and the shift in the air that was what was truly magical. In her opinion, those who stayed holed up in their shops and houses in this kind of weather were missing out. Almost a shame, really. {OoC: I hope the post isn't too obtrusive or anything, but I figured it might be nice to get the ball rolling since the role-play is open sweatdrop }

Rath Icehold wandered through the town, the collar on his jacket down. The only times he ever put the collar up was when it was too windy and the chill irritated him, but today, the rain storm was gentle and he wanted to feel the rain on his skin.
Visiting his sister, supposedly inspecting the family business prospects in the area, gave Rath the perfect opportunity to just wander. He was glad that his family had their thumbs in a lot of different pies across the world, so he could reasonably travel almost anywhere he wanted and write it off as a work expense.
The third oldest child in the Icehold family, he wasn't expected of much except to keep his nose clean and out of the media. Sure, he'd done real work for his family, finding places that were profitable and buying them up, but he had little love for business.
Walking along the edge of a previously duck filled pond, he wandered past a gazebo, a young woman standing under the shelter. He almost snorted at her for her lack of being in the rain before he remembered that most people thought he was nearly insane for wanting to be in the wild weather, no matter how comfortable he felt in the downpour. Ignoring the woman, he started along the path passing the gazebo, heading towards the nearest shops. He needed a burger.

[[O.O.c.: It's fine, beautiful actually. Poetic if I must say.]] Alan was crouched under a tree, every once in a while a rain drop would hit him. He snorted in irritation. It was wet and cold, not to mention the thunderstorm above his head. He hated water among other things. If lightening was sticking around, that was a sure sign that the element user was near by. The thought made him groan. It's not that he disliked her or anything, but they both ended up in the same place often. She showed up randomly while he just appeared out the crack of a building or something. It was strange.
He stood up and opened his umbrella, hoping the dreadful down pour would end quickly. He was in the mood to feed his sweet tooth, which only a few knew about. If he had his keeper than things would have been easier. But lately he'd been known to cause a few black outs and such. Maybe it was because he hadn't found his Keeper in time....maybe not. He'd have to try and see. Walking down town, he zipped up his jacket, most people wouldn't want to see what he had on him in this town anyways.

As Christine stood, leaning against one of the Gazeebo posts she noted a man walking past. It was almost strange to see someone walking as leisurely in the steady rain without an umbrella or in a hurry for shelter. He definitely didn't seem to be out for necessity. Deciding to dismiss it for the time she closed her eyes and took in the flash of lightening and then listened to the steady rumble that followed. The storm was fairly notable, she realized. It was darker than usual, making the lightening that much more notable in the sky, and the rain was a constant all throughout it. She wondered if either of the element users were around. With a smile she walked out of the shelter of the Gazebo. She hadn't bothered bringing an umbrella with her, though she supposed she should, it wasn't like the fact the umbrella would attract lightening was a major concern for her. Then again, she never disliked the rain, it went with lightening often and water attracted electricity. It was something to bring her favorite element out more. Maybe she was odd but she liked things the elements that made her stronger or tended to go with her. Humming quietly she too the short walk out of the park and glanced up as she felt the sizzle in the air before a crack of one of the trees near the pond was hit. She glanced over and raised a brow in the rain and listening to the thunder that deafened the air for a moment. At least the people of the town could rest easy in knowing that the tree wasn't going to catch fire in the rain. She shrugged and while humming a classical tune reached the street, contemplating where she should head to. She wasn't really in the mood to go inside, necessarily, but she was already half drenched from being in the rain without even a coat to protect her from the steady rain.

Maria walked down a concrete path by some pond area she knew far too well. She never really traveled much which was a bore but it lead to this town being known for sudden snow storms or days of ice covering everything. It all was just like a game to her and she felt as if she could play forever with no rules and no one stopping her. She skipped in the rain and splashed in the puddles like a little kid but jumped every time she would hear the trash thunder. With all the uncommon amounts of lightning she wanted to believe it was another element. After a while she passed a gazebo by the pond, she was tempted to go under it but she was having to much fun plus she had something in mind. She ran behind a tree and looked around to make sure no one could see her then looked up at the dark sky and lifted her palm to it. She grew a small grin as she looked back down. "Ice and lightning. What a strange combination." She said with a chuckle as a white speck fell on her hand. Well actually alot of white speaks fell. She smiled and tried to catch some in her hand. "Rain can be a drag, snow is so much funner. If I'm right and there is other elements here then I wonder what they think of snow and lightning." She mumbled to herself walking from behind the tree admiring her creation if the now blanketed white ground.

[[O.O.c.: It's fine, beautiful actually. Poetic if I must say.]] Alan Looked up as the flakes began to fall. "Oh, come on, snow?" he huffed and watched as people scattered to get somewhere warm. He glared, trying to walk carefully on the icy water. he groaned until he felt air under his legs and slid across the side walk after landing on his bum. "Ow! s**t! That hurt like hell!" he roared, hands not getting grip as he tried to stand up.
This was why he hated the cold, shadows don't have solid form and what not. The stay at a distance and don't grip, or float. He couldn't swim ever since these powers showed up. Shadows stay at the bottom, they can't swim along side you. "Tch! Damn ice." He managed to stand, walking into a near by cafe. Ordering a hot chocolate and sipping it quietly. "I hate the weather...." The towns power flickered three times, but still stayed on. His mood daring to cause, yet another, black out.

((Sorry about not replying sooner, stuff has come up in my life and it means I have a fair amount less time that I'd like to spend RPing))
Rath paused as the rain started to mingle with snow and ice. Something, or more likely, someone, was messing with his rain. And while he didn't mind that it was just another form of water, he did mind that the temperature of the rain had decreased.
Letting the idea of a burger slide from his mind, he focussed on where the snow was coming from, letting his senses ripple out through the falling rain. In his mind, a young woman lit up, drawing power from wherever she was pulling it from.
Turning slowly, he stared at the girl, barely old enough to be called a young woman. The feeling of ice and coldness radiated from her as the rain turned completely into snow and the water on the ground started to freeze. Somewhere nearby, over on the street, Rath heard someone roar about the ice after falling over, but he didn't pay any attention to him.
Keeping his posture neutral, he approached the girl. He had to guess she was still in high school, not an adult, but he could feel the power coming from her.
"Yo," he said, keeping enough distance from her, just in case she turned hostile.

Catherine walked into town in time to see a steady flow of snow falling from the sky. "Ice..." she murmured to herself quietly. She took a deep breath before letting out a high pitched sneeze, trembling slightly. She did not have the appropriate attire for this kind of weather. In fact, all she had on was a pair of jeans and a black long sleeve shirt. Her shirt was big and the sleeves extended past her hands and the collar almost only covered one shoulder. She walked along the sidewalk, hugging herself as a futile attempt to keep warm until she saw a sign that seemed familiar to her. "Ca...fe?" Catherine's face lit up with happiness. Wasn't that the place where you can get hot drinks? She quickly went inside, snowflakes stuck in her long black hair and on her clothes. Maybe she would have been able to enjoy the weather more if she had a jacket... Catherine looked around the cafe, seeing how it was small, but quaint in her eyes. She was welcomed by a shopkeeper, although she was a bit busy inhaling all the different scents of the drinks other customers were having. One scent she was able to pick out from the rest...chocolate. How much she loved chocolate, but she wasn't a hot chocolate fan. When the shopkeeper asked her what she would like to order, she looked up at the menu, "Co...Coff...Coffee." When Catherine was asked what size, she gestured with her hands a small. Lastly, when she was asked how she would like her coffee, Catherine stood in a thinking gesture. A faint smile grew across her lips before saying the one word she knew all too well, "Black..." With that, all the power in the town shut down without another flicker.

Christine stopped mid tune as she felt the sudden drop of the temperature, the chill taking effect all the more since she had let herself get soaked by the rain. She took a breath, its warmth making a small puff in the air, and she looked down to see a white flake hit the ground before she looked up and saw the rain drops now turning to a mass of white flakes floating down. She wouldn't have minded the snow as much if she had been dressed in more than a t-shirt, a skirt, and boots that were mostly wet. Shivering she frowned looking to see where to get warm at and heard a male's voice roar something in pain. She glanced over and saw a male about her age, maybe a bit older getting up from the ground and headed into a cafe. Well at least that was open, despite the occasional flickering of darkness in the shops. A black out? She supposed darkness tended to go with storms. She quickly entered the cafe behind a dark haired woman who just as she ordered a coffee black the entire shop went dark. She sighed looking up at the light fixtures and said, "Seriously?" She sighed leaning against the door looking out the window and watched as lightening struck one of the iced over puddles on the street and the lights in the shops in the street flickered a few times before darkening again. "Pretty weather," She commented, before glancing at the black haired woman, "Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get warm coffee any time soon, miss, with the storm as it is and the electric state."

Maria had fun trying to make a past time activity out of sliding around on the iced over pond. She was at pure bliss as she felt the cold wind blow in her face and through her hair. She really didnt mind the cold, Well actually she loved it and wished the sun would never peak from the clouds. She slid around with ease not slipping once. She giggled as she heard someone yell after falling down after slipping. She turned and looked at boy and made no attempts to help as she watched him struggle to stand with a grin plastered on across her face. Sure, she felt bad but in reality it was actually really funny knowing she pretty much caused it. She walked off the ice as if it was normal ground."Well I guess some people can't handle the cold." She mumbled in a mock-ative voice. She started rolling up snow with her new ambition of making a snowman. She kept rolling until she made a decent sized bottom peice. Just as she went to make the middle she heard someone behind her atempt to talk to her. She jumped starteled then quickly turned around so she was facing him. "Um, Hello?" She said staring at him in a confused manner cause she really didnt talk to strangers and didnt know many people that do. She looked around and noticed the street lights started flickering until finally going out. She held back from reacting which was difficult considering the dark wasn't her favorite.
