Maelstrom is a wonderful place full of comic everyday disasters and conflict. As characters crossover from their original stories or universes, they bring bits and pieces of their conflicts into Maelstrom to share. HOW WONDERFUL RIGHT?

How does anyone survive this harsh world you ask? Whoa now buddy, asking a lot of questions can sometimes get you killed on Maelstrom, but since you asked nicely and with a disinterested smile...

Any time a new character enters, all citizens have to deal with the current conflict until the next day passes when the character that was added is either dead, assimilated or fully a citizen of this world. Their problems will fade with in time or simply just become normal. That's the way things run on Maelstrom.
