I hate that I'm too cowardly to come out to my family, I mean they know about sexuality because I won't shut the hell up about it, but they don't know about my gender identity.
I'm too much of a coward to tell them I'm agender and ask them to use my pronouns but not two days ago did I ask two complete strangers to use my pronouns in zOMG and explain to them basically what I mean.
It also doesn't help that I know that my father won't use my pronouns, he's said it before when I just talking about them saying "I barely know english, that would be too hard for me."
I still want to come out but I don't know what to say, how to say it, or anything.

Jello. I have my own name tag because of that. They must be educated first, or their lack of understanding will keep weighing you down. It's hard out there when motherfockers don't recognize. cat_mad

Just go for it, as long as they know what exactly what you talk about. If they support you, awesome. If not, stand by what you say and stand up for who you are, not for how others think you should be based on their conservative attitude. Give them some time if they need it too and patience. You will be fine. cat_wink TRUST

Indeed, tell them to their face! I've had the same problem trying to explain what androgynous means. When I told somebody who didn't understand this one time, they were like emotion_awesome "it's okay my cousin is gay" emotion_facepalm so I just said to them I was transgender. Deep inside when that happens I always want to say, "Do you live in a barn?!" , but I don't cause that wouldn't be wise. emotion_bandaid

Maybe by then you'll have enough time to get your own translator like in 'Key n Peele'. cat_idea

Not to deteriorate or anything, but I read the title and I finally came out as transgender. Though my close friends already knew, thanks to them I got the courage and well now I feel so much better.
