Trainer Application:

Welcome and thank you for volunteering to be a part of our project! While we can't release much information about the island itself, or any core aspects of our research, we can tell you that you will enjoy your stay and you will be well taken care of. If you ever had the dream of having a Pokemon as fast Jolteon and as strong as Rampardos, your dreams have come true!

Before we can enlist just anybody into our program, we must ask a few questions to measure the worthiness of the applicant to ensure that all of our information will not be under authoritative scrutiny or stolen or used in any damaging, negative way.

First, tell us about yourself.

SECTION 1-A

What is your name? Amelia Sixten
Do you have a preferred name? No
How old are you? 27
What is your gender? Female
Where are you from? Slateport City, Hoenn

SECTION 2-A
What do you look like? I am about 5'5; average weight, shoulder-length dark red hair, brown eyes
What is your style of clothing? I prefer nice-looking but simple clothes, practical for forest hiking, herb-gathering, and cooking.

SECTION B

Tell us about yourself.
I have trained in the art of herbal medicine and the creation of tasty, nutritious food for Pokémon since I was a young girl; it's both a tradition and source of livelihood in my family, with knowledge and recipes passed down through the generations. That said, I'm always willing to try out new Pokémon food recipes, and new ways to improve the taste of the medicines I make as well. You won't find any bitter, bad-tasting concoctions here!

Outside of cooking and such, I like reading, gardening, and a nice walk along the beach; generally a nice, quiet lifestyle, though I do frequent the Oceanic Museum, whenever a new exhibit opens.

Personality-wise, I'm friendly and usually quite gentle. Kindness and tolerance are pretty important in this profession; sometimes a trainer will come in with a sick Pokémon, needing medicine, and the trainer might be afraid for their Pokémon companion, so it really takes a kind, supportive nature to help see them through and get the medicine they need. I do get a little hot-headed at times, though, if I run into the type of person that'll call themselves a trainer, but really just don't care about their Pokémon - if they see their Pokémon as tools, just a means to an end, rather than the living, thinking beings they are - it makes my blood boil, and I might say some things I shouldn't. Luckily there's not many of that kind of folk around here.

Besides that, I tend to get quite absorbed in my work. If I'm mixing up a new medicine, or cooking up some tasty Pokémon treats, it usually takes more than one try to get my attention, is all.

How did you hear about this project? I overheard some of Captain Stern's friends - he's a deep-sea explorer, and also runs the Oceanic Museum I mentioned - talking about it; I decided to find out more, since it sounds really intriguing, and once I did, I thought I'd apply.

Why did you decide to volunteer for this project?
It seems like an opportunity to make a fresh start, to gain new knowledge and more skills, and new herbs and ingredients for the medicines and food I make for Pokémon.

What is your main goal/what do you wish to achieve from this project?
I plan to hone my skills further; take up cooking for humans as well, and open a combination herbal remedy shop and a restaurant where people and their faithful Pokémon companions can enjoy meals together.

Are you afraid?
I am afraid, a little bit, but if I'm accepted, I'll put my best foot forward and do all I can to help this project and those who've volunteered for it, in the ways that I know how.
