Okay, going what I was told, and what I saw, glancing throught he old subforums, I only have a few ideas.
1. Broader RP genres- Now this depends on the people, and what kind of RP they want: fantasy, fandom, romance, slice-of-life, etc.. But it also depends on the people to make different RP's.
2. Subforums- It works in another guild I am a member of. Subforums for different Genres. It helps to keep things more organized, rather than everything just being clustered in the main forum. And yes, I know it costs gold to create forums, but not too much really.
3. Communication- a guild needs its members to communicate! So maybe an introduction thread? Introduce yourself, talk about RP experience, and what kind of RP you like, or any other pertinent information you want to share. Knowing your Guildmates is a good way to help make the guild a more enjoyable place for everyone involved.
EDIT: Whoa! Do we REALLY only have 6 people in this guild? That makes #3 just a little less important at the moment. Umm...
4. Members- Try to recruit new members. If you know any really good dedicated RPers from the main forums, see if they interested, or send an invite.

i was thinking of making an introductory thread soon. I'll also need someone to make the rules thread if thats ok. smile and the other ideas are pretty good too, 3nodding considering that this will also be a roleplaying guild. I will start to plan some of this stuff out. I was also thinking of a game/contest thread...opinions??? Edit: yea sweatdrop ...i kinda had to kick some of the old guild members since it looked like they may not be logging into gaia anymore, but i did let them know that if they came back, they were welcome back.

Yeah, the ideas came from what worked well in the other guild XD So my suggestions were mostly about RP. And rules are definite. Though, also a lot of them are common sense, "Follow the Gaia TOS". But some people still need to be told that. And games/contests.....uhh....never really was my area of expertise. So, I'm afraid I can't help you out much there. Sorry.

From my experiences with making and owning guilds I would agree on making a set of rules and adding subforums or else everything will be a jumbled mess.
I'm no the best at making contests but I do have some ideas for that.
In other guilds people usually make an OOC forum or chat along with, depending on the plot, making an info page to explain things so people aren't confused with anything.
Besides this, from looking around a lot of people like things such as:
Disney/Pixar themed guilds
Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy
Pokemon
Marvel/DC comics
Etc.
Thats just fandom type stuff. People also like:
End of the world
School romance
Zombies
Supernatural creatures
Multi-verses/crossovers
Etc.

Yea i've noticed what people seem to like in terms of RolePlays, so i think i may work on that part of the guild right now....I'm thinking of putting some things into the guild like general discussion forum or something...i have quite a few ideas i just don't know how to go about them yet. sweatdrop So if any of you have any ideas I'll let you make the forum for it. 3nodding And what ideas did u have for possible contests Allie???

First off, with the Profiles;
The profiles would be much more organized if it was all one subforum so people can have their own topic for their profiles and you can accept them, ect.

On the topic of subforums, don't just make RP subforums. Areas for other forms of creative output are always nice. Something for writing/poetry is a good thing. Also, and this might be a bit of a big one, but a name is just a bit of a must-have (the quality of the name is also a bit important too as it draws more people in). Once a name is decided on then making a nice home page is also a good thing, if you want I can handle that.

I understand and I DO plan on making this guild a little bit about everything else besides RP 3nodding And given i'm making this a guild about just about everything...anybody have an idea for a title??? Or how/where to make a banner??? I'm no good with names, but a banner is simple enough once the name is there. Also, if you could crew me, I can get several of the subforums up and organized.
