As Conner was launched through the air from the top of the cliff, he took a moment to search for any distinctive landmarks with which he could orient himself once he had landed. picking out a rushing river, Conner drew his sword and braced his shield in front of him as he began his decent.

Flaring his aura to strengthen his body, Conner smashed through one tree followed quickly by a second and as the ground rose up to greet him he rotated his shield to point its concealed spike launcher down at the ground. firing it the moment he impacted. the force of his impact tore a deep, three pronged trench as he traveled for several feet before preforming a combat roll and after gaining his feet immediately began to scan the area for threats, sword and shied at the ready.

Finding none, Conner retracted the spike back in to his shield before walking off in to the woods alert and listening for odd sounds within the woods. the rustling of leaves and creaking of wood reminding him of his home town of Northflame.

Continuing to observe his surroundings. Conner couldn't help but begin to whistle a tune. pausing for a moment to look up to the sky, he paused for a moment and ceased his whistling when the sounds of the forrest ceased. cautiously, he began to scrutinize his surroundings more carefully, a pair of glowing eyes in particular caught his attention.

"Well Hello there beastie." Conner quipped in a jovial manner as as Beowulf began to emerge from the shadows. glancing to his flanks, Conner caught sight of two more emerging and attempting to flank him., quickly drawing his blade Conner sprang in to motion raising his shield and pulling the trigger the spike shot out with a resounding boom. whirling forward and burying itself in to the body of the Beowulf on his right. the two others began to charge and he drew forth his blade. "Yer gonna have to work for yer meal!" he shouted bringing his sword and shield up in to a heavy ward position. lashing out with his sword when one attempted to close on him. the beast yelped in pain as his blade bit in to its flesh before being dispatched with a heavy blow from his shield to its head. whirling around and dropping low as the last beowulf leapt forward and passed by over his head. turning to face his last foe, Conner snarled as the Beowulf began to circle him. turning to keep his sword and shield firmly in between himself and his foe, Conner waited for his opportunity to strike keeping his senses aware for further foes.
