The Rules!
There are types of Testing objectives that will be explained to you depending on which mission you will be going on.
Capture the flag: The relics are scattered all over the forest and they will not be close together and you will each be split up (you guys are the 'flags' in this case). Find each other and work your way back to the cliffs.
Steal From the Giant: Relics are protected by multiple level 1-2 Grimm, each unique in shape and shape, and one level 4 Grimm that will only wake after most of the other Grimm are down. Relics will be in the caves that you find them in.
Simple Capture: Just like in the series, the relics are found together in the ruins in the middle of the forest. Take a relic from the pedestal and head back to the cliffs.
The ruins under spoiler. The black relics will be there as a decoy and will activate Grimm if touched. This is not required to complete the mission and completely avoidable by the team.

Head Hunter: A level 3-4 creature of Grimm is carrying a relic, they take at the very least 5-10 posts to find near the center of the forest and will often have other Grimm protecting them. Kill or steal the relic from the creature then head back to the cliffs.
Difficult Capture: Similar to the series, the relics are found somewhere in the forest. However these relics are not clumped together in one area at ground level. They are located in the oak trees near a waterfall. Once you hear the roar of running water start looking up. Be mindful of the level 2 Nevermore. It's a relentless vulture-like Grimm. It's nest isn't to far.
Waterfall under spoiler:

The relics look like the chess pieces below. Please note that the gold ones will be the ones you're after unless your team specifies otherwise.

The level type of Grimm determine how many are needed to defeat it, on average.
Level 1: Only one, really. They're pretty weak and small, so they actually refrain from attacking most of the time.
Level 2: At least two members are recommended. These are tricky by yourself, and often drain you more than if you had help.
Level 3: Two members needed, and three recommended. Facing them by yourself is bordering on suicide and they will batter you heavily before you can defeat them by yourself.
Level 4: All team members needed. Facing one by yourself IS suicide. If you find yourself in this situation, run. Plain and simple.
