So I've seen lots of complaints about the state of Gaia (especially GC), and I thought I'd let you all know about this. There's a group hosting a "walkout" for Gaia Online in order to make Gaia reevaluate their policies. Thought I'd let you all know, if you were interested.

So apparently, Gaia got angry about people planning a walkout and deleted the thread. Censorship at it's finestHere's a banner with the details.

Do you remember what was the most recently updated number of people participating? I remember the OP aiming for five hundred, but lbr, that's nowhere near a large enough percentage for it to mean anything to Gaia.

Only mildly related, but the whole Elysium's Gate thing is one of the laziest attempts at a gold sink I've ever seen. And on top of that, it's a one-time thing, so after a brief period of time, everything will just shoot right back up due to the gold generators again. Way to go, Gaia.

I think it would be far more effective to drop the gold generators than do the sink. But you know the "gold generators don't affect gold inflation" as the staff says.

Injecting massive amounts of gold into the market doesn't affect the economy at all! Wow!
"But what," Gaia staff whispers, "if we made those massive amounts of gold even more affordable by doing frequent discounts and bundles? Surely that would improve how things go!"
ughhhhhh

Dang..Too bad I missed this... I haven't been doing much more than "keeping up" on announcements these days... And by "keeping up" I mean simply clicking on the announcement bubble and merely glancing at them to confirm that- yep, another cash announcement. Woop-dee-freaking-doo. Gaia's money hunger and gold sinks are becoming annoyingly ridiculous. Even their normal gold items sell for so much now that if you aren't living your life on this site and/or spending every penny you have on their precious GC, you can barely afford it. I've been a part of this site for- wow- 10 years- has it really been that long? I don't even remember the last time I bought a gold item because I didn't want to spend 10,000 or more on some measly article of clothing. This site is really starting to bum me out and I think I'm still here simply out of nostalgia. Perhaps it's soon time to pull the emotional cord.... sweatdrop RIP original Gaia.
