with one show left until the big one, it' time for a press conference. The standard podium is set up, with a long table on either side at which the stars participating in the conference are seat. One seat is empty, which is the seat for the boss to sit at when others are speaking. Speaking of whom, Drako, for once in his life actually wearing a nice business suit, walks out and steps up to the podium.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the press conference for our second ever Blaze of Glory pay per view. This is DHW's biggest show of the year, and I've watched everyone step their game up on the road to this show. And for the second time, I have a very dominating Heavyweight champion defending the title in the main event. I have an exciting Honor champion taking the name Blaze of Glory a bit more seriously as he puts his title on the line in a flaming tables match. And a 16 plus year career on the line as the Dragon takes on rookie Ken Armand. In fact all the titles will be on the line as we showcase the very best DHW has to offer. In the words of JBL, the lights are on bright. It's time to put up or shut up. Now, this show isn't about me. I'm just the guy who put it together. It's time for you to hear from the men and women who will put it all on the line live on pay per view for you."
Drako takes his seat, leaving it up to the others to take the podium to speak

And of course, the student of Jarel and former DHW Tag Team Champion decides to speak. "At Blaze of Glory, I'm stepping into the ring one more time before I ride off into the sunset. It was an honor to have a run as tag team champions with Hiro Shin-Mozas, but what can you do when the time's ticking down and fresher talent is piling into this industry with every passing second?" Snypa pauses. "I'm not gonna say that there's no room for guys like me, because there's always room in this sport for someone willing to put his fist in the next man's eye. As a disciple of the Dragon, I'm always bound to bring honor to DHW but the greatest honor you can bring is stepping aside. I've got burns on my a** I'm still trying to recover from thanks to the Inferno match at Bound By Honor with Zarel and I've got a long period of ice baths waiting on me once Blaze of Glory is over. What the hell can you expect when you" He stands up, picking his microphone. "My Blaze of Glory is something I've desired for quite some time. I watched him in Japan during my sabbaticals. I was in a four way match with him on Inferno some time back. I've never had the opportunity to kick things off, but the stars and planets are all aligned and all that good stuff. So, in order to light the skies up as I make my temporary exit, I'd like to take all I have to the limit in one go with the man who has been referred to as the "Suicidal Daredevil," Matt Draven."

the next to take the podium is Janelle. She's greeted by flashbulbs and a lot of hands in the air for questions. She picks a male reporter at random.
Reporter: Janelle, you've been in the business for well over a decade, going on two. You came in as Jarel and Zarel's manager. Now you're going to Blaze of Glory against Ultimo Insano. What made you single him out of the Chosen.
Janelle smirks. "Isn't it obvious? He's the one that was easiest to punch in the face."
laughter rings out.
"But seriously, I don't particularly like any of the Chosen. But I'm fairly certain my brother will handle Arson and Trent's got his hands full with Pantera. That only left two, and Ultimo is the one I know I can go out and steal the show with. But most importantly, I'm going to put an end to this Chosen crap."
more hands go into the air and this time, Janelle chooses a female reporter.
Reporter: What is the source of the tension between the Family and the Chosen? Why did you go along with your elder brother in waging this war?
Janelle brushes her hair back from her face. "The long and short of it is, I hate pack mentality. If you have to go in a group to kick someone's a**, that pretty much makes you a b***h. They decided to band together, which is fine, but when you ambush people and try to end their career, I've got a problem with you. I came back and really only had one goal, to beat Damita. That done, the Chosen need to be put in their place. I'm starting with one. The rest will fall shortly."
more hands and another male picked at random.
Reporter: So, since you have decided to more or less take on causes instead of just going for gold, what are your goals after Blaze of Glory, assuming you defeat Ultimo Insano?
Janelle smiles. "I don't have a particular goal. I guess I'll just shut up the next loud mouth to pop out of the woodworks. Or maybe I'll just watch the Chosen crumble from within. You never know. One thing's for sure. I'll kick anyone's teeth down their throat to remind them that in this business, we all pay our dues. Ultimo Insano gets that lesson at Blaze of Glory this Sunday."

Trent would be the next to stand tall in the press conference, he approached the podium slowly, building tension by just simply walking. Once he reached the podium, he looked into the crowd who would already begin to raise their hands. Seing Janelle was just a second ago, there was going to be a lot of questions about the Chosen and Pantera.
Reporter #1: "Seeing one of your many enemies speaking, what is your response on Janelle's opinions of the Chosen?"
"Well, seeing that I am not really fighting any of the current members, I am more interested in keeping that Inter blaze title on my shoulder, and around my waist. But my reply to what she said, is we appear to be what she said, but the fact is we aren't in any aspect. We are just giving people examples of what the Chosen can do."
Trent made that question sound satisfying, the reporter would than thank Trent for the reply, as another selection of people would begin to raise their hands.
Reporter #2: "Speaking of Pantera, do you expect to retain your title, and if you lose or win, what do you plan on doing next?"
"Well, I expect to be winning, but if I do lose, I will be going for the world title next. Alongside my Chosen members, I am sure I can achieve it, and if Arson captures the title, I will be there waiting for the title shot that will make me remembered in this company forever. If I win, I will keep this title on my shoulder and wear it for as long as possible."
Trent smiled towards the crowd, another question answered, the number of hands in the air decreasing. There was one left, which he would point at the figure in the crowd, he would stand tall and begin to say his question.
Reporter #3: "How is the Chosen doing? Is everyone in the group ready for all future activities, or will they end up breaking up?"
Trent was puzzled by this question, but answered in a quick response, pronouncing every word slowly.
"We...are...united, you don't have to worry about the Chosen falling under the pressure of the media, we are the talent of the future and we will stand tall by one another."
The man would sit down, and Trent would stand down from the podium, sitting down in his seat and awaiting the next person to stand up and speak in front of the crowd of people in front of them.

Ken Armand, dressed up in his usual style of suit, steps up to the podium next, removing a pair of sunglasses to show his face.
"Let me go ahead and start this before you people badger me with the same questions over and over. I heard Trent say that the Chosen are the future of the business. Cute, I think I've heard that before. But riddle me this. If you're the future, why couldn't you get rid of a family of two old men who need to be put down, a chick who, while amazing to look at, is probably ready to head off into the sunset, and two upstarts who actually debuted against you?"
Ken smirks as the hands go in the air and he takes his first question.
Reporter: Ken, you targeted the Dragon specifically, the person with the most tenure on the roster with over a decade and a half in the business. What's the point? Why not start your sights smaller?"
Ken isn't surprised by the question. "The fact is that someone needs to do it, and it needs to be someone who actually has the will. Countless people say they want to slay the Dragon. None have actually done it. The man is old. 42 stretches into hell in a cell, it is high past time he be sent off into retirement and the new generation has to take over. It's that simple. I could have come in and taken down Cartwright for the Honor title, or Trent or Knight or whoever had the Inter-Blaze title when I came in. But I want to do something big. Something no one here can say they've come close to doing. That way, when I start stacking on the gold, no one can say I don't deserve it."
more hands and another question follows.
Reporter 2: But Mr. Armand, aren't you underestimating your opponent? Over 16 years in the business gives him quite a bit more experience than you, and he is known as the Godfather of Hardcore as well. You even challenged him to a no holds barred match. Shouldn't you have gone with something out of his element?
Ken scratches his head, baffled at the stupidity before him. "He's the godfather of hardcore. How can I take him out of his element? Even in a normal match, he's in his element. No, I want to throw everything at him. I know he's resilient. I know he's been around a lot of years. I'm going to end that and he can finally rest. I'm doing him a favor. My Blaze of Glory is ending the Dragon's career. That's all i have to say."
Ken walks off, despite more questions being thrown at him

as Ken walks off, the Dragon ascends the podium. Easily the largest man in the room currently, Jarel is in his standard jeans and Dragon t-shirt, with shades over his eyes and a bandana tying his hair back. Since he's coming up right after his Blaze of Glory opponent, there are plenty of questions coming his way.
Reporter 1: Jarel, you've had a very controversial few months, from your hell in a cell match with Shadow to calling out the Chosen. Why have you allowed your attention to be diverted from your goal?
Jarel removes his shades and sits them down on the podium. "I haven't been diverted. My goal was simply to put the Chosen in their place. And let's face it, out of the entire group, only one man currently holds a title. The rest are in more deserving hands. Jack Arson was foiled at every attempt to become champion. Angel and Bryan Bain failed to win the tag team titles. In fact, the only member to really get any wins is Trent. Some wins are unavoidable. The foundation of the Chosen has been shaken. Now thanks to our darling owner...." Jarel cuts his eyes at Drako, clearly being sarcastic. "....I've had no choice but to take Ken Armand on at the biggest show of them all. If not for that, I'd probably have elected to finish off the Chosen completely."
Reporter 2: The match, when made official, has you putting your over a decade and a half long career on the line. Why did you agree to this?
Jarel frowns. "There have been any number of men who have come forward boasting that they will put an end to my career. I have heard young upstarts in every federation I've ever competed in step up and stay that they will be the one to slay the Dragon. What Ken failed to realize is that he stood a better chance without putting my career on the line. When I agreed to this, it gave me more motivation than anything. More motivation than I had to even keep the streak alive. Because if the streak ends, my career doesn't end. If my shoulders are on the mat for three seconds at Blaze of Glory, my career does end."
Reporter 3: Jarel, while we know you are capable of winning at any given time, it has been obvious over the past several weeks that your hell in a cell match with Shadow has taken its toll. One might even say you appear to be injured. What is the state of your physical health?
Jarel pinches the bridge of his nose, more than irritated by the candid question. "The fact is, Shadow and I did exactly what we said we would do. And no one leaves hell in a cell unscathed, not even the master. So if you're asking am I at 100%, the answer is no. When you spend a match getting hit with moves that are highly impactful from your past foes, moves like sweet chin music, it's not an easy night at the office. Shadow took more of a toll than any of the 41 before him. However, I am still standing, and there is no depth I won't sink to in order to preserve my career."
Reporter 4: We've heard you say that before. Would you like to elaborate?
Jarel has a slight smile on his face. "I am the godfather of hardcore. Undefeated in hell in a cell matches. I'm a brawler, a mauler, and the most destructive force in this company. There is no one here that can sink to my level of depravity when there are no rules restricting me. But if you want to know exactly what Ken's in store for, tune in to Inferno this Tuesday. I guarantee it'll be one to remember."
Jarel puts his shades back on and steps down from the podium

Lana Leone ascends to the podium next, and there are quite a few more questions for the deranged woman.
Reporter: Upon your return to DHW, you immediately targeted DHW Honor champion, Cartwright. Why him?
Lana leans on the podium and twirls a strand of hair with her fingers. "Why not him? He has the championship I held at one point. I was the first to hold it. It's my title and I want it."
Reporter: Ms. Leone, you lost that title to Claire Hawkins before DHW closed temporarily. Why should you get a shot before her?
Lana continues to twirl her hair. "I asked for it and I got it. It's really quite simple. If Claire had made the challenge, maybe she'd have gotten it. I'm the kind of girl that sees what she wants and goes after it. You snooze you lose, Claire."
Reporter: Cartwright has elected to take extreme measures to defend the championship, challenging you to a flaming tables match. How do you plan to defeat him in this match when he has the experience and a weight advantage?"
"Now you're just grasping at straws. He's a little taller and a little heavier, and sure he's been around a few years longer, but who cares? Size isn't what always wins table matches. Seems to me that Carty boy just wants to feel some pain. I don't have to lift him to put him through the table, unless I chose to do so." Lana flings her hair from her face. "You assume that because I'm a little different that I'm somehow an idiot. I know my way around the ring. Carty boy tried to play a little mind game with me here. I guess he thought I'd develop some irrational fear. But I'm a tad too mad to be afraid. I'll just have to beat him at his own game and put him through a flaming table to take back my title, and then I'll show him a thing or two about honor." Lana laughs her maniacal laugh as she walks away from the podium, clearly confident heading into the biggest match of her career.
