Purpose: To study Fusions.
Personality/Appearance: A tall and broad-shouldered man, he has the physique of someone who knows how to handle himself. You would certainly think twice about challenging him to either a Pokemon battle or fist fight and quite honestly, he’s ready for either. Not that he’s a violent man, but if you start something, he will finish it. While at first glance he seems serious, he enjoys a good laugh and there are laugh lines around his eyes to prove it.
He’s a loyal friend and a stalwart companion, as unwavering as the mountain from which he hails. His voice comes out in a rough growl and he has a habit of rubbing at the stubble he never seems to get around to shaving off properly. His hair, a rich dark brown, rarely seems to enter conscious thought. It falls just past his chin and has a slight curl to it, but if you ever see him pick up a brush it will be a miracle.
It’s his eyes, a soft hazel, that express most of his emotion. Even if he’s not smiling, you can tell just by those eyes that he’s pleased or happy or just plain content with the situation. Everett has a lot of love to give and he’s not afraid to express it. If you’re his friend, he’ll climb mountains and swim across oceans for you.
For all his burly mountain man appearance, Everett is a very smart man. He’s quite versed in all areas of Pokemon research, especially evolution and you’ll be hard pressed to sneak anything by him.
When dressing he tends towards coats and scarves, no matter what the weather. Muted browns, creams greys and other natural tones suit him best. And of course, he's never seen without a good pair of hiking boots.
History: Originally from the Northern tip of Sinnoh, Snowpoint City, Everett was born into a family of Hiker’s whose job it was to guide travellers through the often dangerous snowy-mountain terrain. They would regularly have to deal with the native, bad-tempered Sneasel’s and Ursaring’s. He was a good friend Candice during his younger years and the two still correspond through Wingull Mail.
Due to his already busy life at home, it took Everett longer than most to begin his Pokemon journey. He was eighteen when he finally set out, hiking through Mt. Coronet and then onwards. Within four years he had collected all eight Sinnoh badges but chose not to challenge the Elite Four, instead taking up a job as a Research Field Assistant for Professor Rowan.
He spent a busy six years, travelling across the land, collecting Pokemon and studying the way they evolved. Eventually, hearing of Mega Evolutions across the sea, he bundled himself and his sister, Evelyn, onto a boat. They arrived in Kalos, set up home and life began anew.
Evelyn fell in love and married and for the most part Everett travelled, taking on the occasional Gym Leader but mostly collecting research data to send back to Roawn. It was during a visit to Professor Sycamore than he learnt of Elove. It was clearly the obvious next step and so he sent off his application. Upon acceptance and he left his Pokemon with his sister (after shedding some manly tears) and made the long trip to the island.
Once set up with his new partner, he plans to relocate to Helix Mountain and offer his services as a guide, while studying these strange new hybrids.
