After you've waited the allotted time (check the front of the shop to see how long), you must write a check-in to grow your pet. It doesn't have to be on the dot, but you will be reminded to write one if you wait too long. Your pet will not be taken away if you don't write one, though.
This is not a growth request, this is simply an in character letter to the professor about your life on the island, people you met, things you saw, your Pokémon, how you've been caring for it, etc. These letters are more interesting if you add things you've done during roleplays in them! This is the only bit of required RP you need, so make it exciting!
These letters should be at minimum 500 words. They can be written like RP replies (but the letter itself has to be 500 words. No the entire post!) or actual letter-like. It's up to you!
Once the letter has been received (your thread will be locked), you may enter a growth request at any time, if you wish. You don't have to grow it if you don't want to, but please write us a letter, okay?!
Check-ins are important! They can determine the Pokemon's future personality (especially if there is no art yet)!
An egg needs 1 check in to hatch.
A basic Pokemon needs 2 check ins to evolve into stage 1,
and a stage 1 needs 2 check ins to evolve into stage 2.
