Hello everyone, I've been talking to a few friends about getting T. As some of you may know, to get it you must get an approved T letter from a local psychiatrist/therapist. To get the letter from he/she, you have to take up to 11 or15 sessions.
What I had found out is that it is possible to be prescribed to T by taking little as 3 sessions or no sessions at all. If any of you would love to find out how to do so; please ask.

I've recently started testosterone with no lengthy psychiatrist or therapist sessions involved. I go to a doctor who specializes in the subject as my primary care doctor that I see when I am ill. So far the only thing T has cost me is the 15 Dollars every 2 months for my syringes and the testosterone itself. I saw a "hormone readiness therapist" once and she worked cooperatively with my regular doctor and only asked me a few questions to make sure I am in a safe situation for my transition. I got a blood test to see if im healthy then the green light. I'm also going to point out here that I have s**t insurance through the state cause I am only working 2 part time jobs.. so this is A LOT better than I thought it was going to be.
I guess everyone will have a different experience based on where they live... but if anyone in the guild ever happens to be from the Maryland Area in the United States- The best place to go here is Chase Brexton. Without a doubt.

But I think that's because he lives on the state New York.

I forgot to ask if there was a different way and if you had any other information? xD

I've been wondering about T for a while now.
Is there a way of taking it without syringes and things? Does it come in pill/capsule form? I just really don't like the idea of having to stick myself with needles every day to achieve a certain level of manliness. emotion_8c That, and Mum will probably think I'm on heroin or something ridiculous! emotion_eyebrow
So other than making your voice deeper, what other effects does T have? Do you get hairier? Would it effect how you build muscle and overall strength? What effect would it have on periods?
Also, I have no idea how you'd go about getting it in the UK. Going via the NHS would be a lengthy and stressful road to go down, and I don't know where you'd even start if you wanted to go private.

Far as I'm concerned with taking T with syringes is that I've been hearing this thing like a "T-patch". And I heard taking T can make you more hairy, your feet will grow, muscle increase, etc.

I've heard ingesting T is bad for your health, but patches are definitely a thing. I think I heard they're just a little slower at having an effect than direct injection, but I don't think I could ever stick myself with a needle either. Taking T wont magically turn you into a buff guy, but it redistributes where fat is stored on your body so your figure does look more masculine. I think it may also make it easier to bulk up, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. You can probably find a lot of this on google. I haven't read through it all myself, but here's the wikipedia link sweatdrop : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hormone_replacement_therapy_(female-to-male)#Gynecological_effects According to wikipedia your period should stop within five months on T.

Now I wouldn't trust Wikipedia 100% because people can change things on there all willy nilly. Now, far as my transition group; There are "two" main ways to take T without having to inject them through shots. First one, "like I said earlier" are the patches. As for the other, it's Testostrone gel that absorbs through your skin. Though the process will take a slower time than injecting them directly. I recommend a medical website "before" going to Wikipedia. Wiki is just like one giant research paper.

Haha, that's true. A lot of times I go to the referenced links at the bottom and search for those that look relevant.
I think forums like EmptyClosets also have admin with training or at least accurate knowledge on topics if you post questions there as well. I haven't started transitioning yet so my knowledge is pure hearsay, but you can find guys who've already gone through part or all of the transition process there.
