As the title entails I need someone to talk to since a lot of people in this guild are going through the same things as me. I feel like I'm going insane trying to make myself feel better about myself, but unable to with school and money issues and just that I really have no one to talk to about this in outside here.

Well it's that I feel like I'm going insane with not even being able to dress that of my appropriate gender being mtf and still in school. As well as the fact that I barely know anyone who is or has gone through the same thing despite being in this guild.

I'm a MTF as well. Anyways I do know that it feels terrible that you can't dress the way you want. I kinda came out of the closet and it still feels like they don't really acknowledge it x . x it hurts even more now that I know that they know as well. It's not as unbearable for me i suppose since I know these things take time. I'm just trying to get a job and start to buy female clothes for myself soon. I don't really know what else to say since I don't know the exact situation ' x '

is it just money keeping you from dressing the way you want?
i hope you try to keep positive and remember that things definitely get better. Remind yourself that you will get there. perhaps making some small goals and working on them will help you feel less stuck. even if its something really little and unnoticable at first those small things add up

I appreciate all that you all have said, but I can only feel that I'm more alone than ever even around friends and family mainly because they don't understand. I still am glad to be a part of this big family.

I'm not mtf, but maybe this will help? I have a necklace I never take off, and it has really strong sentimental value to me.

Find something you like, a necklace or a ring, etc., and always wear that one thing. It can be really little, and maybe it's something you just always keep in your pocket, but even if it's something little use it as a reminder to yourself.

Ah, I can't find a good way to describe what I'm saying, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is associate that one item with your identity, so no matter what anyone else says or what else you have on, so long as you have that necklace or ring you can remind yourself of who you are and have at least one thing on that makes you feel like you.

(That sounds so strange writing it out....)

I can sympathize with not being able to dress the way you want. I'm an ftm, and both sides of my family are pretty traditional; heck, they barely even tolerate my barely-passing-as-a-tomboy haircut and the only kind of 'boy clothes' I can safely wear in or out of the house is my brother's jacket. :/

Have you come out as mtf already, or is that the reason why you can't wear female clothes?

I have come out, but it's almost as if my family never heard it come out of my mouth.

Are you feeling better after our talk or do you still feel just as bad? I know obviously even with someone to relate the pain can't just instantly go away, but I hope having my insight and experiences helped ease you a bit and know there's people who understand and go through the same experiences as you.

I do feel a little better in fact.
