What's the best grass type in your opinion; both competitively and also just because you think it's cool, etc.

I can't seem to remember exactly what I did to breed it but I held Whimsicott in high regard for quite some time. Something about the utility on that thing with Prankster being a really good counter my friend tried. That priority taunt.

I've always loved Venusaur, maybe because it was my first starter, maybe because I always though it looked cool, but I've always loved how it was part poison type and I've always been a fan of afflicting status effects on people.

My honest opinion: I always loved Sceptile because it was a more aggressive Grass type Pokemon, and it fit my strategy of overwhelming offensive power. XD

mother. FLIPPIN'. Whimsicott

Not only do I love the design, but It can get a pretty sweet moveset with Prankster, or just stuff like Moonblast and Hurricane and Energy Ball and Giga Drain and Leech Seed and and and :UUUUU

Also I had the absurd luck to catch a shiny cottonee when Whimsicott is not only one of my fave but also one of my favorite shiny recolors and I JUST CAN'T BECAUSE WHIMSICOOOOOOTTTT

[ I also really like Ivysaur, Bayleaf, and Grovyle. I dunno why but I tend to like 'dem middle evolution grass types ]

Aw yis. Fellow believer in only the best in utility. Ok I don't know everything about competitive battling, but I can say it's pretty darn fun to throw those priority moves at them via adorable fuzz ball. I should really get one on my Pokemon X.

I've never been too big on grass types, but I know Breloom is pretty darn beastly with a Poison Orb build. Ooh ooh. And that thick fat ability on Mega-Venasaur? Genius.

I think I've run a Whimscott before, though that was before I knew what IV's even were. o x o
Actually.. I'm still not entirely Competitive Battler Queen over here, I'm still new to the whole thing. Dx
I might try running one again. Currently I'm runing a Gourgeist; it's actually pretty awesome.

Either ferrothorn or vileplum.

Ferrothorn because it's only weakness is fire.
Vileplume because it had the highest special attack of any gen 1 pokemon.

I'm not a major grass-type fan. But if I had to choose...
