Sophie loves that show, and I'm slowly becoming alright that it's not my beloved 80's cartoon (damnit, I -liked- Meagan and her brother, alright? AND the BEST VILLIAN EVER was that Cat-witch in the movies!)
(Well, no, the evil book in the Care Bear movie... Oh wait, no no, tainted Stormy from Rainbow Brite... Oh no no...)
Have I ever mentioned that growing up in the '80s during the height of the cartoon renaissance was AWESOME AS ******** so got He-Man, She-Ra, and the Dungeons and Dragons cartoons for my kids too...)

I personally think the show is wonderful. I just caught myself up after being like 5-6 episodes behind, Rachel came over and we cuddled and watched it haha.
And I don't know how far in you are or how caught up you are or how much you watch the show but they have cameos to the old show all the time c:
One example is Twilight's mom who looks just like Twilight(or Galaxy according to the wiki) in the g1 series, and Twilight's cutie mark resembles Moondancer's. c:

heart I liked the song lyrics but I didn't really enjoy his voice.
emotion_8c I love the series too c: I started halfway through season one and have watched since then. And yeah the song style didn't fit his voice for this one but he does have quite a few other ones that are pretty good along with 'remixes' of some of the songs in the show, my favorite being "Smile" mainly cause he made it waaaay more catchy which I wasn't entirely sure was possible. :3
