So I been working on some cosplays at the moment after a long break (I attempted to do some last year, but things didn't go as plan).

Right now I am working on a Tahno cosplay (his jacket is insanely detailed if paying attention) from legend of Korra and Derek Stiles/Victor Niguel cosplay from the Trauma Center games (Second Opinion versions).

My mom suggested that I do both crossplaying as well as changing the costumes a bit. Lately my parents been encouraging me to work with designs lately and acting (apparently I am very expressive?) in addition to dancing....so. It's fine with me really. I might enroll in some classes someday and go from there.

I just been buying supplies when on sale and go from there. Later I need to buy a good binder and some wigs. I am a bit worried about styling wigs, but I want to get those really nice wigs you can style over and over like real hair (unless I have to cut them or or something).


So what cosplays are you guys doing?

Neat. I never thought about making a page to keep track of cosplays, that actually might come in handy.

It is. I am learn so much about 1920 fashion, applique,pattern making embroidery, etc....from the past two cosplays I been working on. Like pants they wore are called knickers and the covers on the shoes are called spats.

I made embroidered patches and learning about the wonders of stitch witch and seamless trims. smile

Hm, I think wigs is probably similar to cutting and styling real hair. Like some are made so you can use curling irons and straighteners up to a certain temperature and you have to cut like at an angle from what I remember,

It's OK, most don't look like the characters (not without a LOT of makeup. I been learning about the world of stage makeup).

Just pick someone you like and just go from there.

And I figured that one pattern piece out I think. LOL I am lucky I got a cool, creative dad who is good at drafting and with math and science.
