Basic Information

Full Name: Ahtza Sadao Minitasen
Nicknames: N/A
Pilot Call Sign:
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Birthday: 07/06
Ethnicity: Most likely to be Caucasian. Actual ethnicity indeterminable, though her father has revealed that she is at least part Myanma, and draws general conclusions about a lot of her genetics being derived from Transcaucasia and Asia in general.
Misc Features: Ahtza has a head-sized cornflower shaped birthmark turned tattoo at the base of the back of her neck, identified primarily on the skin above the second and third thoracic vertebrae (T2 & T3). Has the letters "DI" tattooed in bold black on her left side, along with tally marks beneath them. There are currently a total of ten tally marks.

Has a cybernetic replacement for her right leg from the buttocks down, and shrapnel scarring across her entire backside. Unique to Ahtza are her horns and a "true human tail". At least, that's what the latter is identified as, and what her father is willing to let the world believe.

Personal Information

Sexuality: Heterosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Dismissive, oppressively negative, and a pessimist. Ahtza is rarely disappointed in the actual outcome of events, having already played them out in her mind. Rejection, loss, failure....however it is mentioned or written as, the twenty-nine year old has already achieved it or expected it. People are unpleasant, but necessary. They continue to reinforce her beliefs. In a small group of like-minded individuals or even a team, there is always the one left out. Ahtza is that one. What would it matter, anyway? Even death would be temporary for people like "teammates". A replacement would be found in short order. This has led Ahtza to be fairly reclusive both in and out of battles, and gotten her kicked out of more teams than one would want to read about. Tendency to talk to herself and presume only the worst in people.
Team Loyalty: A team that might include or acknowledge her is good enough.
Likes:
  • Dibisons. Their agility is somewhat sub-par compared to most zoids in its or other rankings, but excel across the board everywhere else.
  • Combat. While it's stress inducing, it is here and only here that Ahtza puts forth the most effort into standing out. That, and the sound of her Megalo Max cannons firing fills her with an adrenaline rush.
  • Food. A bit of a connoisseur, yet lacking in a trained palate or armed with a more enriched vocabulary to describe the tastes encountered. One could just call it gluttony, but has a tendency to be seen with food either in hand, or mouth. Bread is common.
  • Foggy days/cool weather. Gives her the feeling of being lost upon a rolling ocean, or being someplace else more desirable.

Dislikes:
  • Uniforms. Ahtza will never be caught seen in a uniform of any kind. On a related note, tight clothing is also naught to be seen, preferring almost hippie-like baggy clothes.
  • Speedsters. Pilots with faster zoids that not only capitalize upon that trait...but rely on it like a crutch. Might have something to do with multiple defeats and losses of zoids against them.
  • Body odor. Not just her own, but people she works with side by side that don't seem to realize that deodorant is indeed, necessary.

Fears:
  • Being alone. Despite her preference to cling to the outside of groups....she needs those groups. It's the hint of sociality that she clings to. Civilization. The loner that's not-so-loner.
  • Spiders. This applies to the zoid kinds as well. Their relatives, the scorpions are absent from this fear. They're still going to get squished if she sees them though. Death to them all.
  • Turning into her mother. Ahtza never saw much of her mother, and from her father's dodging questions about her....she makes it out to be that her mother was unnatural....or not even a significant figure in the family. Continuing to be valuable and faithful to her father is what she strives for to avoid this.

Dreams:
  • Get paid for doing things she'd do for free, like blowing things up.
  • Be recognized as a decent pilot, and have some clout when vocalizing.
  • Actually meet mother. A point on her to-do list. Get some answers.

Biography:
The eldest of six children, and first of five girls, Ahtza's first name is the only thing unique to her. Her middle name is her father's given name. A very narcissistic, short-tempered and generally short man who may or may not have genetically engineered both his wife and offspring to make up for his own shortcomings. Otherwise a genius, he spent his children's childhoods raising them in a laboratory as assistants. Ahtza was no exception. She is notable in being the only child to display actual physical changes due to his meddling with their genetic coding. Ahtza might have been a lab assistant, but she was also an ongoing experiment until the day she was sent forth. Her father had an incredibly unhealthy obsession with the ancient race of zoidians, and had read much about untold powers they were capable of. This even extended to successfully "creating hybrids" by altercating their genomes, and well beyond. As a man of science, he'd already gone the distance and had children in an unorthodox and some would call it sacrilegious and twisted....so why not screw the "whole nine yards" and just go the entire football field's length? It was a field he was familiar with, and focused on indeed altering genomes of his engineered children. He appeared to succeed only in his first child, and successfully recreate one of humanity's ancient traits, along with a new introduced "trait".

What Professor Minitasen introduced was possibly only the thirtieth case of a human being born with a fully functional, true tail. That and a set of horns that were not only functional, but appeared to pass on their durability to the rest of her skull as well. Still, as far as the short stack egghead was concerned, the entire procedure was a success, and had more results to boot. The man was twisted, sure..though he loved his children greatly. She never saw much of her mother, and to this day her father is suspect to a great many things in his children's minds.

As all children do, Ahtza would eventually leave the nest. Some parents encourage their children more than others. The phrase "shoving them out and hope they know how to fly" is occasionally applied, and some people claim that this was the case here. More of a dedicated assistant than the other five, the eldest was eventually selected to go forth and earn both her upkeep and find her way. By her own admission, this was at the slightly earlier than normal age of fourteen. Her father had little in the way of networked social links to draw upon, but tug on them he did, and her career dropped her into a pilot seat of a zoid. This was a guysak, and young Ahtza's first zoid. It was free, mind you, but still. Effectively cannon fodder for more advanced zoids, Ahtza managed to get through almost three months with it prior to its destruction one night.

The field had proven lucrative enough to continue on, she moved to purchase a more diverse yet still fairly low-end zoid, the BZ-013 Cannondiver. With the purchase came an offer to join a group of organized civilians to perform tasks too difficult or unpleasant to do alone. This usually meant area patrols and threat elimination. With no fear of the ocean or its bounties, the Cannondiver performed well....until it came to the skies. On routine jobs, sky missions were usually a group effort, and this mission was no different. Flying along in rough squadrons, this patrol encountered what the chaotic comm system dissolved into as "sleepers". These flying opponents picked apart the cannondivers and pterorayses with near zero difficulty. Those that weren't immediately blown apart in the air faced the grim reality of plummeting to their deaths. This was Ahtza's case. The majority of her zoid was intact, sans three of the four fins and the back right of the shell body entirely. Among eight of the squadron yet alive from the encounter, six of them regaining control and moving to a more proper retreat. Her fellow pilot unable to pull out of their mutual nosedive, both plummeted to the ground below. Amazingly, both craft impacted in deeper waters, and the pilots successfully recovered. Her father overseeing her recovery and surgeries to repair damage, the two were debriefed once well enough to do so.

Ahtza would be back piloting at the controls of another zoid less than two weeks after hospital release, just to being more selective as to the missions she could and would take on. Her next purchase was a somewhat reassuring one. Moving up in tiers to afford some rising costs, the deathpion served Ahtza the longest of her zoids thus far. Jobs in the mountainous ranges were most common, but eventually the deathpion had to be traded in. Jobs were becoming more and more difficult to perform with the limited weapons capabilities it possessed. Being safe was good and well, but if she would just be out there for fun...what point was there in risking neck for something that wasn't fun?

Trading the deathpion in for her fourth zoid, a Gordos. The gordos served well enough, possessing a lot of what Ahtza sought to remedy learned from previous problems. Its one flaw seemed to be its speed. Easily outclassed by other zoids in this aspect, its armoring lacked in comparison to what it seemed to be capable of. Any teams or squadrons she joined tended to use her and her gordos as a communications relay as well as their team's "tank". While the former it performed beautifully on, the latter did not go so well. The now twenty-six year old pilot spent quite a lot of her hard-earned funds into repairing her gordos, all while facing criticism regarding her inability to successfully target the critical aspects of the opposing team. This would be a tearing point upon severe damage taken against an opponent piloting a Command Elephander. Both zoids serving as command and control, Ahtza was once again facing down an opponent smaller and yet deadlier than what she piloted. It was a fierce battle, and while she succeeded in downing and destroying the elephander and consequently taking out the opposing team's communications relay, her own gordos was fatally damaged, and died mere moments after the elephander collapsed. Ahtza had but seconds to get out before both zoids destructed.

Following the battle, apparently the loss of her gordos took down their relay entirely and caused their team's loss. Effectively blamed for their loss, she was kicked off the team, and walked to the nearest station. Her retailer was just pleased to see her dragging herself back in, and her funds went to purchasing Eyn, a Dibison that seemingly matched her gordos in offensive capabilities while increasing defensive and speed capabilities. Again, it lacked behind smaller zoids, but gauging how her gordos had handled the elephander's attacks, it led her to believe that this amount of armor and offensive capabilities should allow her to more adequately deal with threats like that one.

Eyn was Ahtza's fifth zoid, and the first to be named. Taking its name from an obscure reference, meaning "one", possibly number one after her enthusiasm after finding it. Eyn wasn't in service very long before once again running into troubles. This time her opponents lay in every dibison pilot's challenges, faster quadrupeds and bipedal powerhouses in the form of geno saurers. While the latter were very rare to encounter and much less find any that were functional, Ahtza found them piloted, and six of her ten Dibisons died against them in the attempt to get rid of that technology. She would eventually succeed in ridding the planet of four of the seven she encountered, but at that high cost. Six zoids, and most of her right leg blown off in what some pilots would have called "suicidal tactics".

Now on her seventh Dibison, named Syvin, and a somewhat advanced cybernetic replacement leg, the opponents' tactics switched from her preferred stand and gun to recognizing the firepower that a dibison could bring to a battle and the tank-like defensive capabilities it had. The solution of course was to overwhelm and outmaneuver, and she lost three dibisons to them in that way. One dibison of note technically did not die. Her next zoid, Aht, "died" after being crushed by falling into a chasm after the ground she'd been battling on collapsed. That seemed to be one of two of the dibison's shortcomings. The first and foremost was its lack of agility. Sluggish to say the least. The second was its own weight and how it was positioned. It was with Aht that Ahtza's left horn was sheared halfway off, and while it died quietly, it was a bit traumatic. She had had a lot of pride in her appearance, as well as capabilities as a pilot...for what she faced anyway.

The ninth and tenth dibisons went the same way as the seventh. Losing roughly a zoid a year in as the opening of her fifteenth season as a career pilot, her purchase of the eleventh, and as she swore it, the second to last she would buy of the line. Of course, that was what she always said....just in case the first battle it was in it blew up...or some ridiculous failure. Eynli, she swore to be different with. While renegade charging and guns blazing worked well on some opponents, it performed miserably on others. Pilots of the tier she now worked in knew exactly how to pilot their zoids to the best of their advantages, and armor meant little against energy claws or powerful beam cannons like most saurer opponents utilized.

Day one with Eynli was spent with inspections and minor repairs, and then the remainder of that day and most of the next was spent riding around, looking for a team.
