__________________ ✿ __________________Calla entered her apartment, her small sanctuary, and let out a tired sigh. She was always out tees days, giving treatment to victims of brawls and hunger she found on the street. The young woman was always busy, but the workload seemed to increase recently. She wasn't complaining, she loved helping the sick and injured, she just wished she could get some rest.
Glancing at her very old, almost retired watch the copper haired woman moved to her bed and collapsed on the squeaky springs. She wasn't expecting another patient for a while, so the least she could do was get some shut eye. Yet, try as she might, Calla couldn't will her brain to give in to the peaceful din of sleep. There were too many thoughts racing through her mind: what's the next poison, will she survive, how many will perish, how's the rebellion? The only family she had left anymore seemed to be the rebels she shared her hatred of the government with. Luckily, she hadn't seen too many of them at her doorstep. Good. That meant they were all remaining strong.
