Well I was talking to my therapist not too long ago within the week and she told me "what's your definition of females and males". The question got me thinking for quite sometime now. I came up to the conclusion that genders don't really exsist. Yes some can penetrate, and other can give birth but there simply isn't "genders".

I think the problem is that people use the word to put someone under a subclass, if someone uses the word to try to label people as something then there would have to be alot of complicated freaking labels. The only way to define someone is to know them by their mind, body, and soul. So gender depends on how they use it and under what circumstances, in my opinion.

A gender is kinda like a quick analysis of the characteristics and traits of a person? Basically to me it's like a very vague generalization. Of course as we move towards the future people are starting to become more homogenized with both female and males liking the same things and what not. I recognize that there are people who feel like they don't fit either genders, but because I am not one of those people I don't feel like I can talk about it because I don't know how it feels.

Yes some can penetrate, and other can give birth but there simply isn't "genders". basically, this. I feel pretty much th esame way. I believe that gender is arbitrary. I am all for people having their own "gender identity", because I recognize that that is important to their sense of Self. but for me, it isn't important. I have opted out of gender altogether. I don't consider myself to have a gender. I do believe in biological differences between males and females (and of course, Intersex people such as myself). but I don't attribute the social constructs that most people do as biological differences. being nurturing or submissive, for example, are not biologically feminine traits. they just aren't. females can have them, and so can males. gender is just another social construct. it's harmless, as long as you don't assign stereotypes or roles to them. but it's not an inherent natural truth. gender exists only in our minds. I'm a huge Star Wars geek, and I have taken a great fascination in the Mandalorian culture. their language happens to be pretty much devoid of gender. they recognize male and female sexes. but to them it isn't important except for purposes of procreation, and Mandosi are as likely to adopt as to mate. they have only a single word for "sibling". that word is "Vode", as in the song Vode An, "Brothers And Sisters All" (Vode "Brothers and Sisters"; An "All"). they have only a single word for "Parent", and whether it's "mom" or "dad" is implied. they do have a word for "boy" and a word for "girl". but this is only used when necessary to describe someone according to their sex. I rather like that sort of culture and language. ^_^ it just makes gender unimportant. it isn't even thought about.

Isee where you're coming from with this, and I highly must agree (sense I'm a bit of a star wars junky myself). But in my opinion Labels are here to identify whether it's bad or good. Though I wish people didn't make such a big deal about genders and sexualities, but hey, that's all on the behalf of religion.

There really aren't any right or wrong answers to this questions. Just ongoing opinions. My answer/opinion isn't right or wrong and neither is your counter attack towards mine. Remember that. And I disagree to your opinion as well.
