Zoid Landing Farm Land Zoid Landing's Farmland is famous for providing the foodstuff for most of Olympia. Obviously there are some other Farms and Produce Growers in different parts of the City but the one's on Zoid Landing are not only the most famous but also the best.

xxxxxMallory Brecht ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬••• Pilot || Team ??? || Bear Fighter || Pilot / Unemployed Mallory sat with his back leaning on the headboard of his bed and looking at the bag of packed things at the foot of it. He was in his usual sitting position, knees to his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around his shins as he tried his hardest to keep calm and breathe. Breathing was always the key, this Mallory knew, he could bury his nerves and his anxieties if he just kept breathing. But the more he continued breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth, the more unsettled he felt; for each and every breathe seemed to echo.
For once in his life, Mal was finding it hard to keep his composure in the quiet of the Brecht Farm because it didn't remind him of how peaceful it could be. It just reminded him about how lonely he felt. It wasn't nice for a farm to be this quiet. Why had he been so stupid? If he hadn't said anything that day all those years ago, none of this would be happening, him and Ade wouldn't be packing their bags and heading off to Royal Olympia in order to chase a pipe dream...
What if he just wasn't good enough, what then? Could he just live with letting his family and Ade down like that? Mallory looked towards his door half expecting his adopted brother, Aiden Prieto, to walk in and ask him to pick up his things and leave. He looked back down towards his feet and then the foot of the bed towards his bag. He could at least check that he had everything. That was something he could do. He scooted over towards his bag and unzipped it to reevaluate the contents. "Spare clothes, check. Suit and Tie, check. Blanky, check. Ralph the Bear, check. Passort, check." He stopped for a moment as he came to an end of his list. He thumbed through his Zoid credentials and license.
It all seemed so sudden. So final. But he supposed, if he wanted to be a Zoid Pilot on a Grand Prix Team... This was what had to be done. And so, he called out into the empty farmhouse towards the door; closing his bag. "Aiden, are you ready?"•••▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Account Balance: 240,000 || Normal State || Bear Fighter || Pilot/ Unemployed

XXXXAiden had been sitting at the foot of his bed staring off into the wall. He had woken up earlier that morning to prepare for the day. He checked and double checked his bag. The male had even checked it a third time. The bag had spare clothing, formal attire, his credentials, everything was present and accounted for. His belongings were sitting by the door just waiting, wanting, to be picked up. But Aiden sat there, his hands resting in the gap between his thighs, frozen in time. His mind was racing. What if Mal can't handle it? The city is sure to be a crowded place. We both know how he gets when there's a crowd... His thoughts continued in a similar fashion worrying about all of Mallory's anxieties. Leaving the farm was a big step for them, albeit how rather small it seemed in the grander scheme of things.
This was going to be it, their dreams were going to be put in motion. Even though he had dug himself into a seemingly bottomless pit of debt, Aiden wasn't worried about the money. He'd get a job, two if he had to, and with the winnings they would win, the debt would sort itself out. As long as Mallory didn't know anything about his contract with Darius, everything would be fine. No matter what, Aiden would make sure everything would be fine, and Mal would achieve his dreams.
"Aiden, are you ready?"
Mal's voice echoed through the empty farmhouse freeing him from his thoughts and the male's gaze shifted to his door. Taking a breath Aiden pushed off of his bed and then proceeded to gather up his bag. The door swung into the room as he opened it and took a step out. The house was so quiet, it seemed like only yesterday it was bustling with forced laughter from as the family made sure not to bruise the ego of the patriarch. Aiden made his way to Mallory's room, and stood in the doorway before speaking. "Yeah, I'm ready." He didn't want to rush him, they had all day. If need be, Ade would pay to put them in a hotel and they could spend the following day looking for a team. But sure enough he had to ask him. "Mal, are you ready?"

xxxxxMallory Brecht ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬••• Pilot || Team ??? || Bear Fighter || Pilot / Unemployed Seeing his brother appear at the door, Mallory couldn't help but smile. There was something about Aiden that made everything seem so simple, so easy compared to how it actually was. It gave Mal the strength he needed to unroll his legs, grab his bag and stand over Aiden before nodding that he too was ready to finally set off into the wilderness. "A-a-as ready as I think I'll ever be... But..." Mallory paused as he thought about the revels the night before with his family and Aiden. He thought about how things could be, about what would happen if they didn't go.
The two of them could just stay on the farm. They could work hard in the fields, use their Zoids as agricultural machinery. Sure, they'd not earn as much money and their Zoids would never see a day inside the Arenas or on the holo-screen but would it really be that bad? The corners of Mallory's mouth began to turn downwards a little bit at the thought. How could he chicken out now, he was so close! His foot was on the threshold of something amazing and all he could think about were his parents, his poor poor parents as they tried their hardest to paint a picture of happiness. They were happy there son was leaving to follow his dream or, at least, they tried their best to make it seem that way. But Mallory was shy, not stupid...
He could see it. He could see it in all their eyes, even Ade's as they drank beer into the night and talked about what would happen when the two of them first appeared on the holo-screen side by side. Mal could see that it was breaking everyone's hearts. Was this all Mal's fault? Had that one throwaway comment started something terrible? "Ade... D-d-do you think we're doing the right thing? Do you think like... They're okay with it, really?"•••▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Account Balance: 240,000 || Normal State || Bear Fighter || Pilot/ Unemployed

XXXXIt seemed like Mallory was having a change of heart about wanting to leave. A small part of him was relieved, however Mallory needed to see this through. And Aiden wasn't going to let him chicken out at the last minute. Looking up at his brother, whom was only give or take a few inches taller than him, Aiden's arm found their way wrapped around the man. "Mallory... Of course we're doing the right thing. And they might deny it now, but when they get news of our first matches, they'll watch them. And you know what else? When we win, they'll celebrate. They'll cheer. They will be happy for you, for us. Because we're following our dreams. And in the end, that's all they could ever ask of us."
Aiden took a step back and dropped his bag. He had a smile on his face "We don't have to leave if you don't want to. The Grand Prix isn't going anywhere. We can hold off on it if you want. We can go next year. You, Theo, Sol and I we can stay here and continue practicing. It's up to you buddy. We'll do whatever you decide." Leaning against the door frame he waited for Mallory to make the final decision. No matter what they ended up doing, they'd be just fine. The two of them would continue to look out for each other and grow. They would still have each other. They would make their money and have fun doing it.
Mallory had to have known by now that Aiden would give or do anything to make him happy and to make his life easier. They were brothers, and even if it was just a month, Aiden was older. It was his job to make him happy. It was his job to make things easier for him.

xxxxxMallory Brecht ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬••• Pilot || Team ??? || Bear Fighter || Pilot / Unemployed Tight in Aiden's embrace, Mallory half smiled to himself. Aiden always seemed to know what to say when Mal didn't know what he was doing with himself and more times than not he was right. Everyone may have been sad right now but eventually, things would get better. The two of them wouldn't be disappearing there was nowhere else to go. Zoid Landing would always be home and it wouldn't be too hard to grab a tram and come back. It would be two hours from Royal Olympia at most and that was the worst case scenario because usually Zoid Teams stayed in Victor's Village; which was even closer. Finally feeling a little less glum about the fact the two of them were leaving.
At least, Aiden was coming along with him... There was always that. Aiden... Mallory thought to himself as he grabbed his bag of things and proceeded towards him. I couldn't do this without you... Mallory slipped his feet into the pair of black high-top sneakers slouched at the doorway with his bag on his shoulders. He couldn't help but smile as he pushed his way past his brother with a smile; for a second they were children again, Mum and Dad were out, they had full reign of the house and it was now just a race of whom could get out of the door first in order to start their future...
It was easier to see it as some sort of game, especially for Mal. It made it easier to breathe for now..."Race you to the door Ade, last one buys dinner when we hit Royal Olympia!"•••▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Account Balance: 240,000 || Normal State || Bear Fighter || Pilot/ Unemployed

XXXX Mal had decided to go after all. A smile appeared on Aiden's face, he was proud that he came to the decision to go, despite any bad feelings Mal may have had. Then it dawned on him, they were racing. Aiden grabbed his bag and followed after Mallory. In an instant the two boys were running through the house trying to beat each other to the door. When they were kids Ade had always let Mal win the races, as he was smaller with smaller strides. But since the gentle giant reached puberty, Aiden stopped letting him win, and genuinely started to lose. Which made him all the more determined to win this race.
Mallory with his head start started to pull away from Aiden as he made the effort to catch up with him. So he pushed himself harder. Little by little he was gaining on him, his arm outstretched trying to reach the door first. It was long till the final stretch. Mallory had turned the corner first, with Aiden hot on his heels. They were neck and neck now. Come on come on come on! His heart was pumping, his pulse racing, as the duo made their way to the door. The final seconds seemed to play in slow motion for Ade. His own arm fully outstretched, reaching for the door. Mallory waiting for just the right time. Step by step. Until finally.. Tap. Tap. "Ah whatever, you had a head start. Lets see that Bear of yours outrun my Liger. When the day comes that you can outrun my Liger in that Bear, i'll buy dinner for a month." He said teasing the victor. "Alright, so I'm buying. Lets get going ~!"
Aiden opened the door, swinging it outward as he walked through the frame. After Mallory stepped out, Aiden closed the door and made sure to lock up.

xxxxxMallory Brecht ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬••• Pilot || Team ??? || Bear Fighter || Pilot / Unemployed Mallory laughed to himself as he cleared the steps in a few long, thick strides. it still surprised him to this day how much he'd come on in terms of his body; after being such a sickly child, he never thought he'd run quite as much as he'd done in his life with Aiden around but he had and eventually all that running paid off as the sickly and weedy boy named Mallory grew up into a fine young man whom could finally help out around the farm. Skidding around the corner, Mal looked back to Aiden hot on his heels and began to panic slightly at the thought of Aiden catching up to him and over-taking. It was only a harmless bit of fun but Aiden and Mallory had always pushed each other in one way or another. Whether it was to be the best they could be or to just try that little harder. But in all honesty, Mallory was just glad to have someone like Aiden in his life, even if they were now neck and neck for the door...
Watching his brother closely, Mallory waited for just the right moment to use his superior reach to get to the door. Tap, tap. Mal had won. Aiden had begun speaking about how he'd got a head start and what not but Mallory still couldn't help but throw a beaming grin at his opponent and shrug. The Bear Fighter would never be able to keep up with the Liger Zero that Ade had but Theodore was still an impressive machine. Maybe one day but today wasn't that day..."Heh heh heh. I'm sorry Big Brother," He replied as he tried to regain his breathe "You almost had me too, awh well, I'll make sure to order the most expensive thing on the menu! Yeah, let's move ~!" Mallory made his way outside and turned back to watch Aiden lock the door behind them, a small pang of guilt nipped at his heart as he looked back towards the house he might not see for some time. But even so, he looked over towards the two Zoids docked by the house and once again couldn't help but grin. It was all finally coming together...
That throw away comment at the TV wasn't a dream anymore, it was a reality and hoisting his bag further up onto his shoulder Mallory began to walk down the path towards the Plateau. He looked back towards Aiden sometimes, a little more teary eyed with each step away from the house. He scratched at the left side of his neck in order to find some comfort but deep down, Mallory just knew that no what: Once he'd got on this Tram, nothing would ever be the same again.

XXXXAiden froze again for a moment as he looked up at the house he had just locked. He knew neither of them would be able to come back any time soon. This house on the stretch of land the owned for many years had been a safe haven for Aiden. And in time it became his home. He grew up here with a loving family, and now he was leaving them behind, save for Mallory. This loving family had taken him in when it seemed like the entire world was against him. He cared for them, and for once the feeling was reciprocated. It had finally sunken in the severity of this moment. This was it. The baby birds were leaving the nest. And only time would tell if the wind beneath their wings would take them somewhere. Mom... Dad... I'll keep him safe. And we'll be back before you know it. He took a deep breath before turning on his heel and following after Mallory.
His gaze turned to the Zoids docked by the house. Soon they would finally get in some real combat experience rather than the multiple test runs the boys had done over the years, while working the fields. This was it.
Aiden made an effort to catch up to Mallory. A comforting shoulder rub was given to the boy, as Aiden attempted to keep his spirits up. A quick tap to Mal's shoulder and a kick in his own stride Aiden worked his way in front of his brother. As he turned to look at him, a sly grin was plastered on his face. "Race ya ~!" Aiden couldn't help but laugh as he turned around once again and took off towards the Plateau.
