Personality: Cool, calm, and collected, Anthros is a man who always keeps his cool under fire. As such, he can come off as quite cold at times, and deals with no bullshit. Due to his time in a Special Forces unit which had very few members, he has a hard time trusting those he considers to be 'rookies', at least until they prove themselves in battle, against him or teamed up with him. And this trust can take a long while to build.
Before, during, and even after a battle, the young man has this unsettling grin on his face, about the only time the man even shows a bit of emotion. Well that, and when he's alone with his Zoid. He has actually laughed, cried, and talked about past battles with his Zoid, and always tells her 'We'll do better next time'.
Team Loyalty: Any which will have him
Likes:Kitsa, his Houndsoldier- Probably the only thing he considers a friend, the high performance Zoid fits Anthros' fast and hard hitting fighting style, in both ranged and close combat.
Combat- The thrill of combat is one Anthros considers like a drug, he is addicted to the fast pace combat gives him.
The Hunt- Like when he fights, he also enjoys the hunt, using his Zoid's speed to hunt down his opponents and bring them down. Once he puts stealth systems on his Zoid, he will be an even better hunter
Sunrises- He enjoys watching the sunrise, so many colors and a reminder that he is still human.
Runs with his Zoid - Kitsa is his best friend, so he always tries to have a run with her when he can.
Dislikes:Rookies- He can't trust rookies to have his back in a battle due to their inexperience, but if a rookie can prove him wrong, then he will like them more and more.
Rule breakers- Discipline means everything to him, and he dislikes those who spit in the face of said rules.
Those who badmouth him, his Zoid, or his previous unit- You don't badmouth him, Kitsa, or the Ghost Hounds, or he will make you pay.
Fears:Losing Kitsa- He doesn't know how he would do if he ever loses his Zoid. He depends on her to not go into a sever depression or going insane.
Being Alone- The reason why he is so attached to his Zoid and his old unit is because of the fact he was alone for so long outside of Olympia's limits and had to make his way back when his old Command Wolf was destroyed. From then on, he doesn't want to be alone again.
Snakes- He hates snakes, and the same goes for snake like Zoids
Dreams:To retire rich- If he can retire with enough money to live in peace, he is happy.
To be remembered as a famous Zoid Pilot He wants his name to be known in the history books, a man that future generations will look up to.
To marry someday- If he can find a woman who can love him for him and counter his loneliness, he'll be the happiest man in the world.
Biography:
A highly skilled and dangerous Zoid Pilot, Anthros was born in a small village on the outskirts of a huge city. His parents said his first words were "Ride" and "Zoid". Life was normal for the young boy, but living in a village was not enough for the young Anthros. He wanted adventure, he wanted excitement, danger even. So when he turned 18, he left the village and went into Olympia to apply as a member of the National Guard
He was placed in the Scout Force, his first Zoid being a Command Wolf. Their job was to scout dangerous places, to seek out and find the unknown. Fighting the occasional bandits, wild Zoids, and other creatures, his skills as a Zoid pilot were developing faster than his Command Wolf can adjust. Eventually, the old Zoid couldn't keep up with him and when he found something he had never seen before, he barely escaped with his life, leaving the wreck of his Zoid behind.
Back at Olympia, he was given a new unit, a Houndsoldier that he affectionately named Kitsa. She suited Anthros' style better than the old Command Wolf, and he mastered the Zoid in no time. His superiors would eventually called him 'The Ghost Hound' for the way he suddenly strikes from the darkness (natural or artificially created), then disappears like a ghost, the haunting cry of his Zoid echoing in the air.
With many victories under his belt, Command decided to promote him to the command of his own unit, which he named after his own callsign, the Ghost Cats. All piloting Houndsoldiers, they were the stealthiest and most ruthless squad the National Guard could bring to bear. Their tasks including eliminating rogue commanders, going deep into unknown territory, far deeper than any unit before them, and other operations unsuited for the normal army. But, this task force was never able to speak of anything they find in the wilderness outside of Olympia.
He retired from the Special Forces after a 5 year stint, the government keeping tabs on him and his old squad via chips they implanted into their arms, hidden under tattoos. He never spoke about what he saw out there, and he was bored with being on his butt all the time. At least he still got to keep his Zoid. When he heard about a new Zoid tournament, the now 31 years old man decided to get back on the field and show these 'Rookies' that the Ghost Hound was real.
But first he needed a team. With the generous amount of money he saved up over his long career, and the rest of his retirement pay, he petitioned for the right to create a State Team representing the National Guard and it was granted. Now to find the pilots that will join him in the Grand Prix.
