Miss Peanut's Daycare
A place for your little ones to learn, have fun, and make new friends!
Guidelines:
1. This RP is currently for babies only, except for parents and guardians "dropping off" or "picking up" children.
2. Peanut (Isis), as Director of the Daycare is an exception to this rule. If anyone has a pony interested in pursuing a career as a childcare provider, please PM Isis to talk about it.
3. If your baby is a trouble-maker, he or she may receive a letter home.
4. Follow all Gaia and shop rules
--- "I don't know how you convinced me to do this," Peanut said, looking at the giant classroom, soon to be turned from a freshly painted masterpiece into a zoo. "Pfft," Una muttered, shaking her head. "I'm still trying to believe it myself." She nudged her friend in the shoulder. "Ready for this?" Peanut grimaced nervously but nodded.

Sunchaser escorted the herd of baby ponies to the daycare. He was happy and whistling, as it meant that he finally wouldn't be on babysitting duty all the time. He could get back to spending some time with his wife. The thought made him smile.
Nightlight grinned to the baby next to him, whispering "Watch this..." He then moved over next to his sister Kore and used his wing to tap her on the shoulder.
Kore snorted and snapped her beak at Nightlight. "Weave me awone, Nightwight." She trotted ahead, closer to Sunchaser in hopes of deterring more shenanigans.
Aqil watched and rolled his eyes. "I can do better." He tossed his head back to indicate the other hippogryph, Enna, walking behind him. He turned his eyeballs, which were held up by stalks, around to look at her. She didn't notice at first, but when Aqil said, "I see you Enna!" She jumped and yelped a little.
"Not nice, Aqil. I'm telling Sunchaser." Enna went ahead of them to the only adult pony there. "Sunchaser, Aqil looked at me!"
Chase rubbed a hoof through his mane. If only they could all get along. But who was he kidding. These were kids. Of course they wouldn't have mastered that skill. Most adults couldn't master that skill. "Aqil, eyes ahead please! You and Nightlight can quit tormenting the others."
Aiyana walked behind her brother and snapped at his tail playfully. "Yeah...you never know who's gonna get you back."
Dara giggled at their antics. It hadn't bothered her in the least. "How much longer? My hooves are tired..."
"Not much farther. Please don't whine Dara."
Capricia was the last one in the bunch. She had been quietly walking along, observing everything. She was plotting on how best she could play a couple of tricks on all of them.
Sunchaser pushed the door to the building open and waited for all the babies to enter. He counted heads as he did this. "Whew...we all made it." The brown earth pony walked down the hall to the classroom and stuck his head in, "Excuse me, I'm looking for one Miss Peanut? I've got a drop off..."

"I'm Peanut!" she said with a smile to the group. She blinked as she counted. That was a lot of kids. A jar of paint sailed through the air, and Peanut reached out and grabbed it just in time. She turned quickly to see Terrwyn and Drystan behind her. "Who threw that?" she asked, knowing full well who threw it. The children pointed at each other. Peanut sighed and shook her head. "Anyway, welcome. And what are your names?" she asked the children.

Sunchaser almost felt bad for dumping seven babies on her. Almost. If it meant a day of peace and quiet though, he'd make the sacrifice. These kids were driving him batty. He was in need of an R & R day.
Enna jumped up and down excitedly. "I'm Enna! I like to sing songs and play games. Will we get to do that here?"
Dara chimed in next, smiling sweetly and fluttering her wings. "I'm Dara. I don't like the dark."
Kore was next. "I'm Kowe. I can't say my ells and my ares. My daddy says that's because I'm speciaw."
Sunchaser muttered something about her daddy being special before he caught himself saying it aloud.
The baby dragon waved to the other two babies that were already there, "I'm Aiyana."
Capricia volunteered her information next. "I'm Capricia. I never get into trouble."
Nightlight beamed and pushed to the front of the babies. "I'm Nightlight. I like trouble. It's fun."
The last of Chase's charges sat there like a fool, grinning up at Peanut. The herd leader rolled his eyes an cleared his through. "Aqil..."
Aqil jumped and moved his eyes in all directions. "Oh...yeah...me...I'm Aqil. I can do this with my eyes!" He then proceeded to suck the stalks down into his head so that his eyes disappeared. "Pretty neat huh?"
"You have to watch him and Nightlight. Trouble has a way of finding them. And I wouldn't trust little Miss Capricia either...she's too quiet."
"As for particulars, I'm pretty much in charge of all of them. So if they should happen to get into trouble...notes can come to me." He looked at his group of babies and gave them the eye, "But they won't get into trouble will they, " He asked sternly. Seven heads nodded in unison. "That's what I thought..."
Sunchaser smiled graciously at Peanut. "I'm so glad you've opened this. I've got twelve...no...thirteen...no...it's twelve babies running around in my herd right now." He whispered this last part, "These ones are the ones that their parents either don't know how to raise kids, don't want to raise them, or they have no parents. I've got to start talking about birth control at these herd meetings." He smiled, "Sorry. Need anything else before I leave?"

Peanut smiled at Sunchaser and his charges and laughed nervously. "Uh, huh, no I think we're, uh, good here. We're going to have a great time," she said, smiling at the little ones. "Terrwyn! Drystan! Come meet the new students."
Drystan ran up to the group of kids and skidded to a stop. "Hi!" he said excitedly.
"Is that paint in your hair?" Peanut asked, inspecting a mysterious green glob behind Drystan's right ear.
"I'm Drystan. I like stories. And games. And art. And..."
"And being a loser," Terrwyn said, coming up behind him. She wiped the green paint off her front hooves on a paper towel. "Is arts and crafts time done yet? I wanna play dodge ball."
Peanut glared at her and nodded to the new comers.
Terrwyn let out a long, suffering sigh and rolled her eyes. "I'm Terrwyn. Please don't judge me by my idiot brother. When I grow up, I'm going to be an assassin, so watch your backs." Peanut was still giving her The Look, so Terrwyn smiled sweetly and laughed. "Just kidding," she said. There. That ought to keep her from getting into too much trouble.

Raiden walked in. He wanted his two kids to meet others, plus he was hoping to have some time alone for the day. "I hope you don't mind if I drop these two off as well." He felt kind of awkward dropping his kids off, but he wanted the best for them. He definitely didn't want them turning out like what he was, antisocial with a knack for playing pranks. Although Thor seemed to be on that path already.
Thor looked around the area. "Dad! I still don't see why we have to come here. Can't we go learn how to create storms?"
Ritzia flew in. "Wow! It's so gorgeous in here! I hope I make lots of friends." She did a loop de loop in the air before landing.
Raiden looked at Thor. "Sorry, but I want you two to be on your best behavior and try to make friends."
Flora came in and dropped off Rinoa. She had taken it upon herself to be secretly raising her since no one tended to notice her. "I hope you don't mind, but I thought Rinoa could use some socialization and get to know others as well."
Rinoa scanned the area. It definitely was filled with all sorts of ponies. Including her brother. At first she hesitated to go over and talk, because she wasn't sure if he would be like what their parents were like. It was a long story and she wasn't sure she wanted to explain why she was living with a demon instead of the alien mummy who created her.
Mint chip came in and dropped off Coco and Fantasia. "And if it's not to much more trouble I brought these two. Although Fantasia isn't my child. She just wanted to tag a long."
Coco brought her things in before plopping them down. "I hope there's baking involved, although I guess I could be patient and try new things. So much to learn and do."
Fantasia eyed Coco. "You kidding? It's better to do some art craft. I would prefer making masks or something along that line. That way we can use them for a play or something."

Aqil waved at Terrwyn and waggled his stalk eyes at her. And then he saw his sister come in. "Rinoa! Nightlight! That's my sister! Hi Rinoa!"
Nightlight waved to Rinoa as well. He whispered to Aqil, "Is she as much fun as you are?"
Aqil shrugged. "I don't know. I've only ever seen her once before...before I was sent to live with your herd."
Enna was so excited she chirped. "All sorts of new friends!" She tilted her head at Coco. "What kind of things can you bake?"
Aiyana watched the alicorn and snorted. "I can do that. Wanna see?"
Kore walked over to Drystan. "Hi. Do you wike to paint? Is that why thewe's paint on you?" She was curious. She'd never gotten to play with paint before.
It was Dara's turn to try and make a new friend. She moved over to Thor and smiled, "Do you like to fly?"
That left Capricia. She looked around the room anxiously, unsure whether she wanted to talk to anyone or not. And then there was her sister. Maybe that wouldn't turn out to be bad. She grinned, a plan forming in her mind. "Fantasia! Wanna come play with me?"
Sunchaser waved to Peanut and the other parents and guardians a he slipped out the door. Hopefully none of the kids would notice and throw a fit.

Twilight walked into the daycare and looked around. She had heard of the daycare just the other day and decided to check it out. While she loved watching the young ones in the herd there were two that were well always young. They needed some time away from her and she from them. "Hello. I'm looking for Miss Peanut? I have a couple of young ones to drop off." She called out. She then noticed her own son with a couple of young ones himself. "Raiden?! Is that you? And are those.....kids?!"
Fleur bounced in after Twilight and gasped at all the ponies already here. So many potential new friends! "Madoc! We've hit the gold mine!" She explained looking over to her grey counterpart.
Madoc walked in after Fleur and sighed. He wasn't too sure about this whole daycare deal. Why couldn't they just stay at home with the herd? All the noise from the other baby ponies made him wince. Yeah this was going to go well.
Aurelius walked in with two in tow. "Okay guys I know dad is supposed to be the one to do this but until I get his butt in gear I'll be dropping you off. I want you both to be on your best behavior and try to make friends. It's why you're here to socialize with others your age." He said to his younger siblings.
Miyu looked up at his older half brother and rolled his eyes. "Dad said we didn't have to listen to you. I don't get why we have to come he-...... Hello ladies." He trailed off spotting all the girls. He straightened up slightly and puffed his chest out. Always gotta impress the ladies. He winked at Aiyana and Fantasia and promptly tripped over himself while trying to walk away from his siblings.
Agni nodded at what his older brother said and rolled his eyes at Miyu. He snorted when his brother tripped. As he walked by he bopped him on the head. "You shouldn't talk back to him like that. He does make sure we're taken care of." He said before looking at everyone else, "Hi! I'm Agni! Anyone wanna play?"
Masahiko slowly walked into the daycare with a herdmate's baby. The herd had decided to take the baby from her mother in the interest of the baby's survival. When a caretaker was asked for he volunteered since no one else was stepping up. "Okay Steren. Behave and no terrorizing the others." He said. He gave her a small nuzzle and then pushed her towards the group.
Steren looked about and quickly noted everything she could about the other ponies. She then noticed a couple of her siblings and walked over to them. "Greetings my genetic brother and sister." She said bobbing her head making her stalks wiggle.
Dark Void quickly followed after Masahiko. He had two young ones in tow as well. He looked down at his charges and prayed their mother never found them. After all their father had left him in charge of them. "Willow, Wisp um..... behave?" Yeah can't tell he's never taken care of kids before. Which is why he jumped on this daycare deal so quickly.
Willow nodded and walked further into the room. She sat down away from everyone and immediately began to pull out art stuff so she could color.
Wisp wasn't as reserved as his sister and ran into the room. "Anyone wanna see something cool?!" He yelled out. He had earlier used his talent and was eager to show it off.

"Come on darling, it is alright" Yue said, looking down at Mei who was hiding behind her other father who was standing beside him "it is alright, you will make friends, I promise you!" Yue urged once more but Mei would just not move except to look out from behind her father "l...like you have, you mean?" She asked as Yue just sighed and smiled at her "alright, fair point but you are different, you are Clow Reed's daughter as well and he was a social one when he had to meet people or go to important parties."
Clow read turned his head and nipped playfully at her mane "come on little one, your sister is here, your other sister and brother are with friends, they will be home by the time you get home but please, just this once, if you don't like it you don't have to come again so please, go in and just try it?" He asked as Mei finally had to giggle, her father was making her ticklish "OK, I will" Mei said as she kissed her fathers cheek and then walked over to her sister and looked at her.
"Ready?" Ling asked her sister
"Not really but I guess, since you will be here I think I will be OK" she said as she and her sister walked into the day care and sat at the side, watching the others.
Clow and Yue walked in after the two girls and waited, watching the children play and a woman who must have been Peanut making sure the children stayed out of trouble was the woman they were needing to see but she did have their hooves full so they could wait a few moments.

"All right, everyone," Peanut said to the crowd of younglings growing around her. "Quite a group we have here! You can all enjoy a little free time while I take any questions from your parents and guardians. Terrwyn, Drystan, you both know where everything is. Help everyone find something they like to do." Peanut smiled and looked at the adults. "I'm Peanut," she said, noticing that Sunchaser had already left. "Do any of you have any questions?"
Terrwyn tilted her head at the strange boy. "Anthill? Why are your eyes like that?" she asked him.
Drystan saw a little girl sitting down by herself to color. "Hi! I'm Drystan!" He hopped over to a cubby and dragged out a set of paints and brushes. "I like art, too. Wanna paint with me?"
