Winnings & Bonuses Explanation

Bonuses and Winnings are non-salary payments that can be made by teams through different means. Obviously these are subject to contract and may differ from each play.

There are several different ways of earning bonuses. These are:
Winning Bonus: Winning Bonuses are paid to the Team Manager in order to be divided between team members for their contracted percentages. Winning Bonuses are different from game to game or tournament to tournament.

Conditional Bonuses: Conditional Bonuses are given when certain clauses within a contract are fulfilled. These vary from contract to contract.

Sponsorship Bonuses: If a sponsored player fulfills their contractual obligations, their sponsor may pay them a bonus.

Cross-Team Bets: Teams may set up wagers between themselves in order to earn extra money. This agreement is made by the Team Managers in front of a Judge and is binding once shook on. Team Managers may then decide whether or not to divide the Winnings between their pilots. Contracts allowing for such, of course.

Shopping Explanation

With the fact there is a money system in this guild, it means there needs to be something to spend said money on. This is where shopping comes in. Shopping is the exchange of money for a product or service. It is usually undertaken by multiple people in the roles of a "buyer" and a "seller" or multiples there of. The buyer provides the money whilst the seller provides the product or service.

This type of transaction is a personal one. Once money exchanges hands, an unsaid contract is formed. That recognizes the exchange.

Shop Owners and Services provides are paid in a Per Unit or Per Exchange manner. And as they do not have to buy stock, receive almost 100% of the money tendered. The only deduction they have to make is a 25% tax that if left unpaid can result in the Judges coming to reclaim it.

An easy guide to a sale looks like this:

Step One: Buyer looks for service.
Step Two: Seller provides service.
Step Three: Buyer pays seller for service.
Step Four: Seller deducts 25% for taxes.
Step Five: Exchange Complete!

Personal & Team Bankruptcy Explanation

Bankruptcy Definition: A legal proceeding involving a person or business that is unable to repay outstanding debts. The bankruptcy process begins with a petition filed by the debtor (most common) or on behalf of creditors (less common). All of the debtor's assets are measured and evaluated, whereupon the assets are used to repay a portion of outstanding debt. Upon the successful completion of bankruptcy proceedings, the debtor is relieved of the debt obligations incurred prior to filing for bankruptcy.

Personal Bankruptcy
Although we doubt very much that this will happen, the fact there is a possibility means that we have to explain what will happen. Basically, when an individual is unable to pay their debts they can either file for Bankruptcy at the Courthouse or have Bankruptcy filed against them by the people who are seeking to acquire money off of them.

When Bankruptcy is sanctioned for against a person, their goods will be seized in order to pay back their debts. This may include Zoids or Zoid parts bought.

To become eligible for Personal Bankruptcy, one must fail to produce the required amount of money for a purchase 3 times for the same person or 7 times for different people. They will then be forced to pay their debts by the end of the season and if the season ends and they cannot pay, Bankruptcy will be filed against them.

Team Bankruptcy
Team Bankruptcy is like personal Bankruptcy but on a Team Scale. If a team fails to pay for services rendered or are unable to pay their contractual obligations on more than 4 occasions; they may be taken to the Courthouse and asked to pay the money. If the team's assets still cannot match what is owed, the Courthouse will force the team to dissolve.

The Team will then be forced to try and make amends but still be dissolved afterwards. Players will be evicted from their Teams respective lodgings and will be released from their contracts.

The Team Bankruptcy does not carry any sort of ill for the Individual Players. Save for unemployment of course.
