I want people to know that this guild is very very accepting of the LGBTQ community. We do not discriminate against anyone here. If you consider yourself a part of this amazing community, feel free to come here and socialize and meet others who are like you or accepting of you.

You do not need to discuss LGBTQ topics here. This thread is meant for voicing your support, meeting new people, discussing any topics, etc. It's a thread where you can feel secure and not judged.

Aaaa, keen-o! I don't have anything to say right now, other than this guild just moved up a few notches from AWESOME to SUPER MEGA AWESOME for me. X3

Everybody who sees me keeps getting confused whether I'm a guy or a girl in the first place, much less that I might be somewhere in the middle, so I've just ended up going by "queer" in general. (When my folks were raising me as a girl, I only went after girls, but once I was on my own and reclaimed myself as a guy, I find I'm way more comfortable with other guys now? My friends say I'm a 'queermeleon,' haha. Sounds like a Pokemon.)

I can understand why they did so, to be honest. I can't process testosterone, so I've never looked 'manly,' and I won't ever. Which sucks sometimes when I keep getting called "ma'am," but at the same time... I find it really interesting to see what people cue in on, when I'm at a convenience store or restaurant, and they say either "Sir" or "Miss." All it takes is wearing an earring or not, sometimes, and people will treat me completely differently from one place to another.

That sound kind of interesting! In a weird way... I wonder how I would react if I was in your position. You seem to take it really well though, and that's good. Someone else might have been very frustrated and angry if it where them. So kudos to you!

And I'm also a bit curious as to what you look like, haha :3

Oh, sweet! I identify as queer too. I try to present as genderneutral/androgynous as much as possible because that's what I'm comfortable with.

I also find it really interesting. I red about it on your introduction thread. I think it's a really good that you are asserting yourself, that you seem to take it well, like Natique said. I am also wondering what you look like, we are now all curious now, since you're talking about that openly.

Now just imagine that with a deepish voice. X3

(And yes, those are my real glasses. I can't see a thing without them, so I figured I'd have fun with them!)

Conversation starter, for anyone who wants in on it: I myself have a trail of names I've used and discarded. How did you decide on your name?

I legally chose Jonathan in the end because of a Batman villain. Which may sound irresponsible, but when Batman Begins came out, I got almost half a dozen people I knew telling me I needed to see this movie, that there was somebody in it who looked just like me. And lo and behold, along came Jonathan Crane (Cillian Murphy) in one of the most androgynous-looking roles I'd ever seen in a blockbuster film After that, the new name I'd been tinkering with fell into place almost immediately: the character's name. Jonathan Crane. "Jonathan" was just the kind of in-between I needed. It was similar enough to "John," one of the most common names ever, and yet "Jonathan" sounded sophisticated. Like the kind of name a doctor would have.

If it's not a comfortable topic, I don't blame anyone for not replying, but: finding a new name can be like a hermit crab finally finding a shell that fits. Anyone had similar "this is perfect!!" sort of serendipity when choosing a new name for yourself?

Hey everypaw, it's really cool that this guild has a LGBT section!~ I identify myself as a lesbian, I have several friends that are gay or bi ^^ Gay pride is always fun to go to. It's always nice to see people who are supportive.
