The main purpose of life, is for us to accept Jesus. If we knew nothing but Jesus in this life, then we knew all that is important to know (1 Corinthians 2:2). He is the road, the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Without Him we are separated from God. Dead in our sins. One thing is our bodies dying, another thing entirely is eternal death, which is separation from God - forever. For those who are Christians we are blessed with the hope not only to be in the presence of the Lord in spirit after death (2 Corinthians 5:8.), but also in the hope of a bodily resurrection in the future when Jesus comes back to Earth (1 Corinthians 15:35-58.).
