Mugen possesses a quiet but hardy persona. He’s strong willed, soft spoken, and vigorous in everything he does. When he commits himself to something, Mugen gives all his effort to it. He’s not a slacker and doesn’t approve of others who are. Being raised to view success as something to be earned, Mugen sticks strictly to his schedule and maintenance of the body. When it comes to social interactions with peers, Mugen is often made out as uncanny. He’s not the typical American teen and even in the X-Mansion, he tries to reserve himself from committing to outrageous activities. The teen is more of a lone wolf socially. The only times he voluntarily works in teams is during training, competitions, and sports. He’s mysterious, and it’s as if his blood remains absolute zero because he never faults under pressure.
History:
A sport star his entire life, Mugen found himself on every highlight film in every coach’s living room. He garnered so much attention in both baseball as a pitcher and basketball as a point guard that by the time he reached the ninth grade, he was recruited into a top athlete school in the United States. His fluency in both English and Korean allowed him to travel without problems. In fact, he never truly had a problem in his life regarding other people until he was 16 when his eyes started to develop their abnormality.
While playing in a basketball tournament in New Jersey, Mugen started experiencing what he would describe as “a heavy drug trip”. He was experiencing the world almost slow motion and it felt very irregular. It was during these “trips” that he would perform his best. To him, it felt like the world was so easy to understand spatially. He could never make the wrong move in this state. Eventually, this abnormality in his conscious experience developed further physically.
A year after he initially felt those “trips”, Mugen began noticing his eyes changing into whitish forms whenever he’d enter the slow motion states. When this occurred, he took his problem to his coach at the time who tipped it off to the media. Feeling that mutants are “cheating” in sports, the panel of youth sports banned Mugen from further involvement in organized sports. This rash decision by the council spurred the teen to take refuge in the Xavier Institute in New York, knowing that in all probability no school elsewhere in the states would allow him to play.

- Hand-to-hand Combat: Aikido is performed by blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on. This requires very little physical strength, as the aikidōka (aikido practitioner) "leads" the attacker's momentum using entering and turning movements. The techniques are completed with various throws or joint locks

- Ace Vision: Upon activation, Mugen’s eyes register everything in his view perfectly. He gains an extraordinary sense of space, time, speed of an object. Everything and everyone he sees is calculated in relation to his own position. Overuse results in high intensity migranes.
Weaknesses: Though he is strong in self-defence, he isn’t the best at prolonged melee combat. His skills in the area aren’t very diverse. Also, his major flaw in his power is that if the distance between him and a target is too vast (say over 1.5 miles), he isn’t going to be accurate in judging time/space/speed.
