Have you guys seen this thread? Or any threads like it? (I know there have been a few.) Well, I thought I'd bring your attention to it, as it is an organized way to grab *most of* the freebie items (and gold) that Gaia will grant from time to time. Some of them are even usable more than once. (Did you know can get "Time and Space" a total of *12* times??)
Pretty cool, isn't it?
Well, if you take a close look at my avi, I happen to be equipped with NOTHING but free items-- either they were items granted by Gaia for FREE during events, or I won them for FREE in a game (in this case, the Valentines' Day Switchem).
I started looking through my collection of items, and I have to say, I was quite impressed. The items are actually pretty good quality, with good artwork. Some of them are even multi-pose. And there's so much variety!
I mean, look, my avatar comes complete with one or more each of:
- Arm mod
- Leg mod
- Face mod
- Cute top
- Background
- Animated item
- Pet
- Fancy throne.
My avi has all the makings of a multi-million-gold avi made from MCs/RIGs/etc, yet everything equipped to me was given out to the community COMPLETELY FREE!
(I will admit that I did buy a couple of these items in the MP, either because I lost my originals somewhere, or because I wasn't aware they were originally free. But I payed dirt cheap.)
I understand that this particular avi is probably worth no more than about 15-20k gold, but it's nice to be able to look this good, with all these special effects, and none of it cost even a dime. 3nodding
So, I have a question for you guildies: What's the BEST avi you have EVER worn, made up of only the CHEAPEST gold shop items, or FREE ITEM grants? (And I mean by making NO USE of GCash or expensive MP items!)
Can you build one up in Tektek?
It seems to be a challenge nowadays to make a good avi with such a tight budget, but-- lo and behold-- it is still a possibility!
Edit: Even if it's an expensive item, if you got your item FREE from DC/ Overseer, feel free to include this. I once got an item worth 600k from my Overseer. 3nodding
