Well, LMG can't get on tonight, but she asked me to post this bible verse from the Message Remix translation:

Matthew 7:6
Don't be flip with the sacred. Banter and silliness give no honor to God. Don't reduce holy mysteries to slogans. In trying to be relevant, you're only being cute and inviting sacrilege.

I might have missread the word cute. I can't tell if that's a u or something else in her handwritting...

But this is a great verse about not being casual with your faith. I hope you guys understand the signifigance of this verse.

This is another amazing verse from the message. i think christians should already know this, but i love this verse, none the less.

Gal. 5:19-21
It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket Gods; magic-show religion; paranoid lonliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an importance to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; smallminded and lopsided pursuits;the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and incontrollable addictions; ugly paradies of community. I could go on. This isn't the first time i have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God's kingdom. But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives.... heart

My mom had me learn this verse when I was very young. I don't remember exactly where it is, but I do know that it is from Proverbs:

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

I know I have problems sticking with that sweatdrop , and I try to work on it.
