Infestation at Sweet Apple Acres
Today, there was a commotion at Ponyville's Sweet Apple Acres. It seemed that there was an infestation of vampire fruit bats! Though not as dangerous as regular vampire bats, they can still ruin entire harvests of fruits if left alone. As could be seen here, the bats were eating apple after apple, leaving entire trees barren. The timing couldn't be worse either, as harvest was about to start too! Luckily, the local animal expert Fluttershy was called in. After some debating within a small group, the method chosen to handle the vampire fruit bats was hypnosis, a spell performed by the local princess Sparkle. The hypnosis was a success, as none of the bats would even try to go near an apple afterwards. Something seemed fishy however...
Though I don't usually investigate at night, my guts were telling me that this case wasn't finished yet. And I couldn't be more wrong! Going around Sweet Apple Acres, a shadowy figure could be seen flying around. As evasive as it was, I couldn't locate it properly in the night sky, so I went home. The following morning showed that the figure I saw had ravaged the apple trees! The vampire fruit bats still didn't show any interest in apples, so this mysterious figure is the only one that could have done this.
I returned again that following night, to find the ground that had hypnotized the vampire fruit bats looking around for this shadowy figure as well. Though the search was long, the figure was finally revealed: It was the animal expert Fluttershy! However, she wasn't a pegasus, but a vampire fruit bat pony! It was quite shocking. After much trials, the others there managed to keep her attention long enough for a reversal spell to be cast by princess Sparkle. Fluttershy had returned to normal, and next season's apple supplies were saved.
