Mani snickered as he briskly took to the air again, watching below him as yet another pony cried out in shock at being turned into a frog. The jokes never got old no matter how many times he did them. He searched below, looking for more valuable, unsuspecting targets, and when he spotted a fellow Pixie he grinned, quietly landing a distance away from the pony, watching her from behind a bush. A fellow Pixie...This should be fun, he thought, going through a list of tricks in his mind. Confetti bomb? Turn her into a mouse? Throw a tornado her way? What, oh what, could he do?

It was a knack, it was a skill, perhaps it was as much luck as talent, but Sohira could always put on a good show, and half of any good show was timing. She had no clue there was someone near, nor what he was plotting. What she did know, however, was that it was time to start the show. Her eyes lit with excitement. She stretched her wings as far as they would go, then snapped them shut. As her wings came together, the show began.
Fireworks lit the night sky exploding up from the brush all around her. Harmless, and painless, to be sure, but undoubtedly startling to someone to have a blast of fire and light shoot up in front of his nose or under his tail.
She did not actually know where the audience was, she just sensed that there was one. She threw her head back and a dozen fireworks exploded into flowers of lights and sparkles all at once. She opened her mouth and her voice wove in and out and around the bangs and booms of the fireworks, like a singer added to a percussion ensemble.
There were only three words used to describe Sohira and her sister when ether of them got like this. Best. Show. Ever.

Noise and lights exploded and Mani jumped up, yelping in surprise as his wings fluttered a few times before stopping, causing him to slam into the ground with an abrupt thump. "What the hay, man?!" he squawked, his voice cracking, as he came out from his hiding spot. "Lady, don't you know that those things can be dangerous? Those things can hurt people! Don't you pay attention? Does that not make sense to you?" Mani knew what he was saying didn't make any sense but continued to ramble, his pride having taken a hit, and gave the pony in front of him an irritated glare. "Who're you trying to impress, your boyfriend?"

She smirked, an expression her sister Kindle knew all too well. It was one they both shared. Her tail swished as she sashayed over to the pride bruised male. "My boyfriend?" she all but purred. "Aw, the little boy is so stuck in the past, he thinks a girl like me needs a guy, doesn't he. Awww, how cute, how precious. That you think I would need to show off for some male, as if I would need to do much of anything to keep his attention, if I want it," she said, the purr dropping, along with the condescending tone. "My shows are to impress whoever is watching, which usually means me myself and I. And yes," she said, a little too sweetly, an edge under the honeyed tone, "I do know how dangerous they could be. Want a demonstration?"
