Year 2050, March 10  The fire crackled in the middle of the street. "WE WANT THE TRUTH!" "THIS ISN'T A DEMOCRACY!" "DOWN WITH THE GOVERNMENT!" The crowed of protestors had grown twice it's size in the last four hours. Things were getting out of control. The police had to act soon, and everyone knew it wouldn't be long before they arrived. They took away everything from us. Our freedom had been slowly devoured by the corrupted. Plagued by the greed of the wealthy. Our world had become censored, even the world web became dictator to those who once used it as an escape. We were stripped bare our rights. Raped of who we were truly meant to be. But it wasn't always like this. In the Year 2035 our society had become so infatuated by the advancement of the online world that reality had become confused with the virtual world. A few had stood up against this, but it wasn't enough. We were to engrossed in the media scandals and world replacement that we failed to see what happened. The Government had realized the power the online world had over us and used it to take control.  It happened over night, before anyone could stop it. We woke to a religion less world where we no longer had the choice of our future. By the time you exited the womb you were given a sequenced number alongside your name. This number was your entire life on file. With a scan it told everything about you from what type blood you had to the occupation you were assigned. They began genetically altering the DNA of specific children during pregnancy. These children were given a specific numerical sequence. The experimented children developed a heighten sensitivity to the digital world and after a certain age developed the ability to mentally hack the virtual world. These children were called Oddities and deemed for destruction. But some escaped their death. Year 2050, March 10  By now the protestors filled the city block. Signs and screams of rebellion. This was it. The marched to city hall and stood on the door steps of Hells gates. A line of guards stood way the doors, the only line of defense between humanity and hell. Any second now the line would be breached, and chaos would spill unto the streets. And when it did sirens of the death squad echoed between city buildings. Gun fire sounded against the screams of horror and pain. But this was

Kai was sitting on the roof top of his and Myami's apartment complex. It was mid evening and the sky was a wash of oranges and bright pinks. He went over the plans methodically in his kind, touching each finger to his thumb as though counting invisible numbers. He could smell the curry base dinner one of the tenants was making. He hated the smell of curry cooking. He noticed dpwn below a moving truck just sitting out front. It had been there a few minutes now but nobody had exited the vehicle yet. His fingers stopped and he gripped the ledge leaning forward to try and see the driver. It was an older man. Kai pursed his lips andmswung his legs around. His feet hitting the solid surface of the roof top.
Simon sat in the van as his mother refueled. "Com'on mom. Dads already there. Couldn't you have gotten gas after you dropped me off?!"
"Hey Simon! " his sister in the back seat called up to him. "Can I have you Yatisu collection?" Simon turned and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not dying Lue. I'm getting my own place. Well the sanction has placed me with Myami the hot red head!"
"Easy boy" his mom said taking her seat beside him. "I remember when Sanction first assigned your father and I to our first place." She smiled off in her own memory. "Yeah. Okay mom. "Simon rolled his eyes and turned to his sister Lue. "Sure you can have my Yatisu collection."

╰ │ ╯ Jade was already up and in her parent's garage. Although she once hated what the government had written in stone...her future as a mechanic, she decided to embrace it. Sure, she had wanted to become a teacher, or a doctor, but her parents had long put that out of her head. What if they hear? They being the government. Everyone knew what happened to people who chose a different path for themselves. Jade hated that she wasn't given a choice, but she was determined to be the best damn mechanic they ever saw. What she would do with that, she had no clue. She was up late, reading her text books. It wouldn't be long before she had that certificate in her hands. For now, she would study, she would build and she would repair. Her eyes wandered to the moving van that drove by. Her eyes squinted in the sunlight. "Hey, Mom," she yelled, following the moving van down the street, with her eyes. "New neighbors!" Take your aim. Fire away. Fire away!

Miyami Mitutaki Miyami bopped around the kitchen as she threw ingredients into a bowl not really paying attention to what was going in, but hat did she care, Kai ate everything she cooked anyways and everything seemed to turn out great.
She had just spent a good 6 hours in her photo room trying to figure out the best ones to give to her client, but none of them seemed good enough for them. Why did the stupid government have to make her a photographer? why couldn't they have stuck her in a kitchen, that would have been much easier and would have made her actually happy. Sighing a bit as she mixed her ingredients together she caught a whiff of curry, she looked down at her bowl and sniffed. Her nose filled with the sent of curry, swearing she threw the concoction into a pan and began to cook adding a bit of water here and there to let things simmer and blend together "Damn it I hope Kai eats this.... God does he ever hate curry.. Oh! Maybe we can dip into the emergency funds for pizza if he wont eat it."
Miyami danced around the kitchen in delight before she saw the moving truck, she had her camera out in seconds and used the lens to zoom in on the invaders. As she spied the dinner started to burn and she took pictures of the boy in glasses, just in case they would ever need to actually get to know the new comer. Arden Ravera AKA HazCat Arden threw her hood over her head and pulled the gas mask she had lifted from the last town she had rolled through. This, was the place where she was 'born', if that's what they wanted to call it these days, being born meant that you were normal, no that's not what she was nor the others that were born like her.
Along with the mask she had grabbed some paint, oh did she have ideas, she was going to paint this town red and people will know her name, people will fear her. She 'flew' down the street on her skateboard, backpack full of supplies as sh headed towards her first stop... The scientist whom thought of the experiment had decided to live in the city, god what an idiot he was, to live in the center of the rebellion.
It took her fifteen minutes to get to the street that he lived on but only seconds to locate his house Idiots, I bet they didn't thing we would use our 'gifts' to get back at them a smile twisted on her face under the mask as she walked up to the door, crouching to the level of the door handle and worked the lock with the lock picking kit she had put together out of pins. When she heard the click of the lock unlocking she laughed silently slipping into the house. Arden traveled through the house picking the spot where she would mark her name, she had thought inside the house would be great but she changed her mind, the garage would do for that bit of her evening. Creeping up the stairs she moved to his bedroom, she snarled in disgust as she moved to the side of his bed. She looked down at him and shook her head, how could he sleep like a baby while she and the other oddities were afraid to sleep because they didn't know when their homes would be raided and they in turn destroyed.
In a fit of rage she jumped on the man and tied his hands to the wrought iron bed frame to keep him in his place. He had rose from his sleep while she was doing such and tried to kick her off of him but this only made her angry. "Did our mothers squirm like this when you experimented on their children? Did they ask you to stop?" She hissed just before she struck him with her lime green gloved fist knocking him out cold "You sir will rue the day you messed with us." Giving him one last firm punch before rolling off of him and proceeded to destroy his room and house.
Before she left the house she found his wallet and stole his credit cards and all the money he had on him. Feeling satisfied she left the house and went to work on the garage door filling it with her colors and her name. She left the cans where they were and took off. Scrawled across the garage door was HAZCAT in huge letters. Those who looked out their windows could read it perfectly. Her name, would spread fast if she kept this up, Arden knew that tonight was just a trial run and she would have to keep her temper in check if she planned on not getting caught. Tomorrow the real fun would begin.

Kai walked into the apartment sniffing the air. "I hate that smell. Just the smell though." His nose twitched as he slumped himself down at their small table. His stomach growled and he looked down, rubbing his stomach as he did. "I thought it was the neighbours at first cooking." He looked at Myami and smiled softly. "There's someone moving into our building. I looked up his name. Simon Gadge" he chuckled to himself. "He could be useful you know. I also talked to him on a chat forum as you. He's totally into you by the way." Kai looked at his fingers as though to be inconspicous. "Dinner...looks good" he added.
Simon walked to the window of the moving truck his father was in. He was about to knock on the window when his dad looked up from a book he was reading. "So son. This area seems...nice"
Simon smiled at him. He had good parents. His father was a history teacher and his mother was retired. He never knew her actual title, only that she was a scientist of some sort. "You gonna be okay with mom and Lue? All that estrogen and girl talk" he joked.
"Oh you know" He father said stepping out of the moving van. "I'm just glad to see you finally doing something other than downloading porn."
Simon smirked and headed for the back of the truck.

╰ │ ╯ Jade smiled when she heard her mother breaking out the baking ingredients. No one ever went ungreeted on the street. If it wasn't brownies, then it was a bread of some sort or cookies. It all depended on what was in stock. Of course, there were usually enough to go around the whole neighborhood. You know, just in case someone else showed up on the newcomer's doorstep. Hardly anyone ever did though. "I'm heading over, maybe I can help with unloading," Jade yelled, again. She could hear her mother yelling to her father. The household didn't seem to believe in going into the same room as another, to talk. Jade put her tools and manuals away and grabbed her craft gloves, just in case, as she headed down the street. There was no mistaking which house the new one was moving into. The moving van was a dead giveaway. "Hey," she called out to the two men. One was young, the other old. Father and son, she guessed. " I'm Jade. I live just up the street. Need a hand?"She wondered what they would think of her. She hadn't bothered to change her 'work' jeans which were covered in old grease and oil stains. Her mother would probably yell at her, but that wouldn't be new. She also didn't look very strong, but she always surprised people. Take your aim. Fire away. Fire away!

Miyami Mitutaki Miyami spun around staring at Kai with wide eyes "What were you doing talking about me Kai? You know what would happen if your IP was tracked and they found out that you were... well you!" She shook her head and made her way to the cupboards and pulled out two bowls, she looked out the window at Simon and his dad and noticed a girl talking to them. Her eyes narrowed, setting down the bowls she took up her camera and started snapping pictures of the new female "Well, don't look now but here comes this kids new crush..." She wouldn't let the disappointment show in her voice as she spoke. Allowing the camera to fall back against her stomach she picked the bowls back up and filled them with the curry concoction that she had made. Dropping down into a chair she slid a bowl over to Kai with a slight smile "Find out who she is Kai.... We might be able to use her..." Miyami looked away from him as the last few words slipped from her mouth, her appetite had suddenly vanished. Pushing her food from her she left the table and proceeded towards the door. "I will be back Kai, I am going for a walk. Don't be stupid" She said as she opened the door and left, closing the door and locking it behind her.
Miyami made her way down the stairs and right out of the house, sparing Simon and Jade just a single glance before turning the other way, hoping the park was still decent and free of thugs at this time of night.Arden Ravera A.K.A HazCat Arden had cleared the district where the scientist had lived, she was on her way to scope out another. Some female whom had a family and what not, not that Arden really cared. Her skateboard blew her hood down uncovering her ebony hair, because of this she pulled down her gas mask and allowed it to hang loosely around her neck. As she made her way through the city she let herself relax, her shoulders slumped down and she allowed herself to enjoy the air flowing through her hair.
It took her about an hour to make it to the area where the scientist lived. She passed a redhead along the way, she was holding a camera, Arden made note of that so she didn't get caught breaking into the woman's house. Once she was just a few feet from the house she jumped off her skateboard and continued on foot, sliding her board behind her back and behind her backpack, she looked about noticing a moving van and people. She silently swore to herself when she finally realized that it was going to take more then one night to make sure she could come and go as she pleased without getting her a** killed.
Arden wasn't really prepared to deal with anyone that night so she pulled her skateboard out and gave herself a running start before jumping on it, what she didn't notice was the huge a** rock that was in her way. She hit the rock head on and went flying, wiping out right in front of Kai's and Miyami's house, right in front of everyone.

Kai leaned back in his chair."Don't be stupid." He thought of Myami's remark. "Ha" he said taking a mouth full of the food. "I'm far from it" he said to himself putting his feet up on the table and cradling the bowl. He was already steps ahead of Myami.
Simon turned to Jade and smiled surprised that someone had offered help. "I'm Simon" he stepped toward her with his hand out stretched.
His dad shook his head as Simon become side tracked. He opened the truck's back door sliding it up with a loud bang.
When Arden fell with a crash Simon looked at her with a raised eye brow. His hand still out stretched for Jade. "You Alright?!" He called out to the strange girl. What the hell was she wearing? He figured there might be some sort of convention near by, or she she must be a die hard fan of something. He didn't know her character.
Lue giggled at Simon. She was 15 and had blonde pig tails with pink clips. "Simon do you really need all that red bull?" The back of the truck was filled with 6 cases of the energy drink. Their mother walked over and was looking at Arden. She looked familiar but she couldn't place her face. "You okay dear?"

╰ │ ╯ Jade gave Simon's hand a firm shake and let go. For being a girl, she had quite the grip. She watched a red head leave the complex and heard loud bang. She turned and saw a girl, on the ground. Skateboard, somewhere near by. She shook her head, slightly. This is why she dealt with motors. She hated the skateboards and decided that there were more injuries from a skateboard than a motorcycle or bike. She decided that the two adults seemed to be handling the situation well enough. " Let's get this stuff in," she told Simon and smiled at Lue who seemed to be in wonder at the cases of redbull. What did the kid need so much energy for? Jade immediately assumed that the kid was a night owl, of sorts. Busy or perhaps an insomniac who needed something during the day, to keep awake. Either way, it wasn't her business. Take your aim. Fire away. Fire away!

Simon didn't have a whole lot of furniture. Most was boxes of miscellaneous things. He grabbed the stack of red bull and pulled out a note that had been crumpled in his pocket. "It say's unit 7." He looked to the building across the street. It wouldn't have been his first choice, had he had one. But at least it was a place all to himself. The building had 4 floors each of which had 3 apartment units. Shared bathroom on each floor. "Thanks for the help Jade" he said with as charming a smile he could give. Lue grabbed the smallest box, not really wanting to do much work.
Kai had moved to the window when he hear a small crash and people yelling to see if someone was alright. As he looked down a grin slid across his face. When he found out they were going to be placing a new tenant in the unit below him and Myami he had made it so Simon would be chosen. He had searched the scientist that had worked in the research based on his kind at Gyro Corp. Simon was perfect. The son of Dr. Gadge leading scientist in Genetic development. He remembered her. Remembered the tests she did. That's one thing he was good at. Remembering names, faces and numbers. Kai had a photographic memory. And he never forgot. The girl on the skate board. "Arden...?" He leaned closer to the window, nose pressing against the glass. He squinted making sure he wasn't mistaken. He looked back to Dr. Gadge who was walking over to Arden. He hoped she wouldn't recognize her. But this added a whole new area of complications.

Miyami Mitutaki Walking up to the park Miyami gave a sigh of frustration, why did she have to act like this, she knew nothing about the guy whom was moving next door other then the stuff that Kai had told her. She was positive that he had a plan but he wouldn't confide in her about it because he knew she would try to make him go the legal way instead of head first into something that could get him killed.
Miyami took her camera and just started snapping pictures to calm down, she hadn't eaten so all she could think about was food but she didn't want to return in case he would rub it in her face that she disliked being out her alone. She hated the park alone, something she never could tell him, she always wanted to think her without weakness, a woman without needs, but in reality she just didn't want to seem weak to him, he was her hero and she never wanted to let him down. While taking pictures Miyami failed to realize that she wasn't alone, too caught up in her head to realize that there was a group of sketchy looking dudes whom had taken an interest in the red head who was taking pictures and wanted to have some fun.Arden Ravera A.K.A HazCat Arden heard Dr. Gadge's voice and stiffened, her whole body on high alert she pulled her hood tightly over her head and nodded changing her voice slightly in hopes that she would not recognize her "Yeah I am fine, just a little fall." Arden tried to get up but fell back onto the ground when a shot of pain shot up her leg from her ankle. Swearing softly she chuckled looking around quickly to find an escape root. It was in that moment that she saw Kai and her eyes widened in shock. He was there, she didn't even have a clue that he was alive, and for some reason it was a relief rather then the dread she thought she would feel. Her eyes became panicked as she remember Dr.Gadge and she mouthed HELP ME to him hoping he would save her before Gadge caught her and took her back to the hell hole to be destroyed.

╰ │ ╯ Jade smiled as she shoved her hands into the work gloves she brought with her. She had helped a few people move into their new homes and had enough experience to know that sometimes things break and work gloves have a benefit. Jade grabbed the first two boxes that she could get her hands on and turned towards Simon. "I haven't helped yet," she told Simon. "You could thank me later, but try not to mention it."She didn't like open gratitude. She was used to people telling her that she wasn't good enough. To try harder. They were always pointing out her mistakes that she wasn't quite sure what to do with a compliment or kind words that didn't come from her parents. Even then, her parents seemed to always search for something that she had to grow on. She began the journey to unit 7. Take your aim. Fire away. Fire away!
