GENERAL RULESBe a good sport. There will be penalties for bad conduct, from a simple warning to points penalties to banning.
No mule accounts. I WILL find out.
twisted PRIZESThere WILL be a prize this year for the champion; one 2014 Donation Letter - month of your choice.
PICKINGYou pick one driver per race, only one.
You CANNOT pick the same driver as someone else.
Picking is done on a first come, first serve basis.
As long as they are available, you may pick the same driver week to week, or a different driver each week.
Choose wisely, once you make a pick, you cannot change it. Exceptions for invalid picks will be given though...
Picking opens TUESDAY the week before each race at 9:00PM EST.
Picking closes when the Green flag for the race flies. NO PICKS MADE AFTER THE GREEN WILL COUNT!
Unlucky Dog rule: The unlucky dog pick will be given to the person with the worst finish in the previous race. Pick time for the unlucky dog person will be anytime from the end of the race to green flag of next week's race.
There are UNLIMITED autopicks this year, however, instead of the highest unpicked driver as in years past, you get the same points as the unlucky dog for that week.
If you pick too early or pick a driver who has already been picked, and do not repick, you will be given an autopick for that week.
POINTSYou earn what points your driver earns. If you pick someone who is not eligible to earn points in the Cup series (e.g. Trevor Bayne)
YOU GET NOTHING! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!There will be no Chase this year. The highest person in the points after race 36 is the champion.
PENALTIES
If your driver for the race receives a points penalty from NASCAR for equipment violations or on track actions, you will also receive that penalty.
If your driver receives a points penalty from NASCAR for actions
off the track, you will not get the penalty.
If the penalty is appealed successfully, it will be altered accordingly
This thread is for picking ONLY! Discussion posts made in this thread will be deleted and you will receive a warning. If it happens again you will get a 5-point penalty per offense. There will be a separate topic for discussion.
Unsportsmanlike conduct will be penalized according to the offense.
Sprint Unlimited - formerly the Bud Shootout
This will be picked like a normal race, except no points will be awarded. The highest place finisher will get the standard #1 foam finger. However, if you pick the race winner, I'll throw in a Blue Magical Giftbox!
All Star RaceThere will be no official event for us. It's an off week for us. If one of you wants to do something, feel free.
