||Island Kingdom||---------------||Desert Kingdom||---------------||Forest Kingdom||---------------||Mountain Kingdom||Surat | Vyr | Zaji | Reshir | Recha | Deimos |When the choice is not yours.. When marriage is a trade..
...You find love in the wrong place.
Galaxies away, on a distant, young planet, shadows began to walk. Grow. Learn. Teach. Love. They were a race of men, caught somewhere between human and corrupt genes. They appeared to be normal as any, were a human to visit, but they had no need for woman. In fact, they'd never seen a woman. Some men had it written in their DNA how to carry a child, and these were the mothers. The bearers. The life-givers. As if evolution had only let them come so far before giving up on woman all together. It could very well have been true, as there's always one flaw; these poor creatures haven't progressed to deliver the child through mere birthing. It's rather brutal, actually, how the mother's flesh must be ripped open, and child must be torn from his body. Though the race was different.. The story of humanity hardly changed.Surat had been raised by a great and powerful king, and a wise, beautiful matem*. Alongside two older brothers, he grew, witnessing wonderful and terrible things. He became a desired prince, and many from bordering and far countries alike came seeking his hand. Within the castle, his closest friend, and strategist for the royal family-- noble in blood himself; Recha was also after this prince's hand, hoping to woo him with an exotic gift stolen from far away land. With hearts to win over, and lives to change, and allies to make, will Surat make the right decisions along the way? Or bring his family, and the royal family to ruin? Mother*

It was his birthday. Going from a boy to a man, especially for a prince, was a means of celebration for the kingdom. Surat was the youngest of the three. Isoh was the eldest, and had already set his hopes on mating with a prince from the kingdom near the forest named Fenrir. A good match for a dominant Bestower like him. His middle brother, Ehlia, and himself, were far from having mates. Sitting upon his throne, Surat watched with his Ati and Matem as the party continued to thrive.
Soon, it was brought to a halt as a pale guard came forth, silencing the crowd. A knight, he was, named by the name of Deimos, brought to this kingdom at a young age and worked his way to becoming a knight. "My prince," he started, with a boy. Surat only smiled at him as he continued, "it is my honor to present to you those that bestow their best wishes and gifts to you upon this fine day." With that, he stepped aside, showing the table of gifts for him. A smile hit his face again at these gifts, but it was all for show. He didn't care about things like this, for he didn't need them. Had had all he needed, but nothing that he wanted. Nobody could offer him what he really needed: A ticket out.
Surat wanted nothing to do with this royal family business. He didn't wish to be given to a Bestower and forced to leave his family, to become the mate of someone who just wanted his land's help.. He wanted something special. Something like his parents had found. Deimos stepped aside as another male stepped forward. A smaller, yet darker male. Orange eyes never left that form as he moved over to take the spot light. They followed every line of the Bestower's body, every curve. Every twitch of his mucles as he spoke.. Oh, how sweet the thought of taking this fellow Bestower to bed and making him moan like a Bearer was..

The strategist of the royal guard, Recha, pulled himself to the front, a group of three men holding a rope tightly in their hands as he bowed and silently asked permission to approach. With a smile for the youngest prince, he took his hand, "My dearest Surat... While tending to some matters in the wastelands, I came across a gift. A wild beast, I thought might teach you a lesson in responsibility before you take to running a kingdom."
The blond wrapped his arm around Surat's waist, guiding him just a bit closer as he motioned for the three guards to reveal him. His arms were bound behind his back, wounds left barely healed covering his strangely-marked skin. From behind his hair, his yellow eyes glowed with anger, and betrayal, "Behold, Surat... Your new servant." There was a growl, and he lunged for the young prince, very nearly biting him as that psychotic look in his eyes struck them both. Quickly, the rope was gripped; held fast as they pulled the man back quickly, sweeping him off his feet and sending him to the ground. Recha glared down at him, and gave the signal for them to take him to Surat's chambers.
"I BELONG TO NO ONE. UNTIE ME NOW, SO THAT I MIGHT EXACT MY REVENGE."
Recha shook his head, "See to it that he's gagged, as well. We don't need him ruining the prince's evening." After a battle to get him away, the dark skinned Bestower turned to the beautiful prince, "He will... Take some training. But I trust you can handle it. Running a country will prove to be much harder than breaking in a beast. Come.. Dance with me."

Who... Was that? A gift, Recha said. Immediately, he had caught the other's attention. He wasn't afraid. He didn't bow down before him and he was from a distant land.. He wanted to leave this party to go to his room, to learn more about this.. exotic being. He almost asked to be excused before Recha spoke once more. "A.. dance?"
Looking back to where the guards had taken the male, Surat let out a soft breath. He wanted to leave.. wanted to see with his own eyes the kind of things those bright eyes had seen, but he supposed it had to wait. ".. Of course," he said, after a long pause, smiling up at Recha. This man was his best friend. He could give him a dance now, on his birthday at least. With a smile, Surat took his hand and let the male lead him in their dance. "You certainly do have a talent for dancing, Recha," he said, impressed with how well he moved about.
A smile had placed itself on his lips as he danced with the other through the song that played in the air. "How did you come across the one you brought with you?" The question was bothernig him all night. He seemed.. upset. No.. Enraged. Attacking like that. "What did he mean by... revenge?"

Recha chuckled at his questions. He was definitely going to need a drink to loosen him up if the interrogation was going to be a rough one, "My beloved prince... Must we speak of violence while I'm trying my hardest to sweep you off your feet?" His smile was priceless, his movements fluid and effortless even as they spoke. The look on Surat's face, though, made it a hard question to ignore.
With a sigh, his eyes fell to the floor, but their feet never missed a beat, "While we scouted the terrain, we came across a small village. Poor. Suffering. Angry. When they saw our steeds, bearing the crest of your royal family, Surat, they attacked. It would have been a declaration of war, were I not kind." He lifted his head, "I offered to spare the others, in order to keep the primary troublemaker. If you did not notice... I came back two men short, my prince.. Something had to be done. Now you have a fine birthday present. Once he's trained properly, of course."
Their dance slowed to a stop, and he touched his face gently, "Have I eased your mind, my prince? Aren't you pleased with your gift?"

Surat didn't enjoy that. He didn't want there to be violence or anything. He was not one to side for the violent side of debates and arguments. When the dance stopped, Surat merely smiled and nodded, nudging against his hand. "Of course I am pleased. You went to such lengths to get me something.. It will be fun to be with him and learn about things." That's what Surat cared about. He wanted to learn more about the outside world. With a swift movement, Surat leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Thank you."
Another laugh came from Surat's lips as he looked towards Recha and grabbed his hand. "Come, you must be tired. You should relax tonight and celebrate. I apologize for bringing up unpleasant memories as of late. Your present is the most divine." He spoke to Recha, and tried to keep him going. There was no way he'd be able to speak to the wanderer if he was here all night. He'd slip away..

"Oh, please," Recha said, following him, "I am far from tired/ Are you so anxious to get to your gift? I can see it all over your face."
He stopped him, then, tugging him by the hand until he was close, touching his cheek, he pressed a chaste kiss to his lips, "And you thought you could escape my kiss, too.. How rude you're acting this evening. I'll forgive you, though, and introduce you to the creature." With a grin, he pulled Surat down the hallway, leading him back to his room, where two of the guards stood watch.
With a gesture, they stood aside, and he opened the door for Surat to let him inside.
The man was hunched over on the floor, his arms tied behind his back, and attached to the furthest bed post, "Surat, why don't you ask it its name?"

This was wrong. He was still like them, no matter if he was from the poor villages. He seemed defeated and broken.. Hesitantly, Surat took steps to meet him, staying just a few feet away from the male as he kneeled down. "Surat. My name is Surat," he explained, pointing to himself. This wasn't the first time that he had taken in a stray, so to speak. His smile was kind and he could hear Recha warning him to be careful.
"I will be fine, Recha. I'm not as defenseless as you think.." With that, he turned back to the other, staring at that curtain of brown hair. He wanted to see those eyes again. Those eyes that had entranced him and made him feel like he was the one captured. "What is your name? Surely, someone like you must have a name as lovely as your features," he spoke. His voice was soft, wanting to be nice with him, wanting to show that he had no motive to hurt him.

"Do not approach him, Surat! Please, it's dangerous!"
The man did not speak, he only growled. His body was shaking, and some wounds were still fresh, glimmering in the firelight. Recha was nervous, watching him closely, when he noticed his hands moving. But before he could do anything, the man lunged on Surat, pinning him to the ground by his throat and letting out a barbaric, animalistic sound, "Do not pretend this is just! I SHALL HAVE REVENGE FOR THEM. REVENGE. REVENGE!"
Recha and the guards quickly pulled at the strong creature, tugging his arms and legs, until finally, one guard grabbed a vase, breaking it over his head and sending him to the ground, "How did he break those ropes?" One asked, terrified.
"It doesn't matter! To a cell with him, now!" With nods, they dragged him out, leaving Recha to help Surat up, "My prince...are you quite alright?"

He didn't know what to do. What could he do? He grabbed at the other's wrists, trying to pull them away, but the man's strength was more than he thought, and it overwhelmed the prince. It wasn't until the sound of shattering glass and the crisp sting of air hit him, causing him to roll over. With the weight off of him, he coughed, trying to get the air to flow back into his body.
What... was he talking about? Revenge? Revenge for what? What was going on? He didn't have much time to think of it as violet eyes turned to look towards Recha. "I..." Surat coughed once more before slowly sitting up, rubbing at his neck. "I'm alright.." His voice was soft, his heart racing still and beating hard against his chest. "I do not.. understand. Did something I say anger him?" Surat wasn't sure what was wrong with that man. All he wanted was to make him feel comfortable.. and yet he struck.

"My prince... This is my fault, and you have my apologies. I knew he was violent, but I thought he might calm down in the face of such beauty. Probably for the best, though.. Didn't need him raping you, or anything." His orange eyes fell with his words, and he pulled Surat close, patting his back.
"Let me escort you to the party. There is wine, and food, and many people happy to see your face. Do not dwell on this one unhappy event."
With an arm around his waist, Recha flashed him a smile and led him back out of the room, "I promise, the evening will be fun, if I have to force you to enjoy yourself."

"No, no... I wanted to see him. I should have.. known he would lash out." He smiled at Recha, nodding. HE was always here for him, to keep him up and to keep him smiling. Recha was a good friend, that much was true, and he was glad that he had him here. With a quick peck on the other's cheek, he smiled and walked out with him and down the stairs to the eager people awaiting his return. He smiled and nodded, leaving Recha's side to mingle with the rest of the folks around.
Deimos returned to Recha's side, worry in those red eyes. "Sir, I heard a racket. Is everything alright?"

His eyes followed after Surat, smiling as the prince smiled to others. Just the sight of happiness on his face was enough to brighten his mood. He was pulled out of his daze, though, and shook his head a little as he pulled himself away from the beautiful Bearer, "Ah, yes. I have it handled, Deimos." He laughed, walking around him.
"Why don't you stand down for the night? You've worked hard today... Have a drink. Enjoy yourself. I know I'm going to."

The male only watched him and bit the inside of his cheek. "Recha, sir," he said, grabbing the other's wrist. "I cannot just.. take the night off. Someone has to make sure that you are at least safe." Deimos' wasn't going to let his eyes get off of the other male.. Sure, he was a Bestower.. And two Bestowers could never be together.. but he was so small, so sweet and beautiful.
"You know how you get when you drink too much wine. I fear for your safety as for others."

Recha peered up at him questioningly, watching him. Suppose he did get a little bit strange when he drank...and he did usually tend to drink too much. But what was the worst that could really happen? He shook his head, "There are plenty of guards to make sure nothing becomes of me, and you never take a night off. It is the prince's birthday, captain. Take a night off; have a drink with me."
