This thread is obviously for you to post your most exciting race that you can remember.

Mine sticks in my memory because the lead switched all the time. The only time I really had a definitive lead was when I got a red shell, and the guy caught up!

I was racing Vs. with a bunch of friends. Most of them were n00bies but one guy (Smitty) was amazingly good! We were racing on Bowsers Castle (1). We were both well away from the rest of the racers, but couldn't get the upper hand. I was back a good bit in second, and pulled a red shell, and let loose on the rolling cylinder on the LAST lap. He managed to catch up really well, and I won by 0:00:002! Seriously, when we compared our times there was .002 seconds in it!

Talk about exciting! I was literally standing up and shouting "YES!" when I won that one!

Any other closer races? I doubt it, but prove me wrong!
