Legacy Event: Hall of Justice Registration
So What's Going On?
Well, today marks the day that we begin our preparation for the small Legacy Only Event that we will be dealing with reclaiming the Hall of Justice. In this thread I'm going to break down the Event, quote all the Legacy Character Holders and eventually begin to compile the roster for the final team that are going to be handling this event. There, unfortunately, will be a max number of Legacies allowed to partake within the event.
A Legacy Only Event?
Yes, this event is for Legacy Characters only. Why? Well, I could just say that "it's because I say so" however, that's never really been the kind of Captain that I am. So, I'll tell you the wider thinking behind it and hopefully you will forgive me for excluding those who haven't got Legacy Characters and understand the logic behind the decision.
Basically, the general premise is to keep some activity in the main forums as the event happens during Reign of Fear because the activity was taken away from the main forums people began to fall off the RP and had to withdraw and wait for a time to re-enter properly and logically. It also meant that those who did try and continue in the main forum whilst the rest of us were battling for the Incursion Zones didn't have that fun a time. I want to prevent this from happening again. So, this time I decided that making the Event specific and number restrained would help keep the guild alive.
What's more is, that within our guild's cannon it would make more sense for the Event to be Legacy specific. Why? Because the Legacy Initiative was designed by Batman so that individuals would inherit the mantles of ex-league members and through this logic we can safely assume that Batman's tests and trials are designed specifically to the powers and skills of the Legacy Characters rather than just normal Customs. He is prepared for them. He had a contingency plan for the original League, so if this "Neo-League" is pretty much exactly the same, he has plans for them too. Easy.
We can also kill two birds with one stone by limiting the part of adventurers by saying that canonically [at least to the guild's standards] it would not make sense for every single Legacy to be at the Hall at the same time; whilst also reserving some Legacy characters for the main forum RP whilst this event is under way. Again, easy!
So does this mean that Custom Heroes will never get inside the Hall?
NO! NO! NO! Let's kill that thought before it lays eggs. Custom heroes may enter the Hall if it is reclaimed by the Legacies who take part in the event. After the event is complete, the Hall will become open for Roleplay use and serve as the interim base for the New League until they can find a way to re-access the actual Watchtower. How it's used is up to the Legacies whom name themselves the "Founders". So, it's all to play for still really.
But first they have to get there!
You say Founders but there are particular Founders of the Justice League, will specific people have to go in order to make the event work?
A tough question but nonetheless answerable. Of course we all know who the original seven are:
Superman â—‹ Batman â—‹ Wonder Woman â—‹ The Flash â—‹ Green Lantern â—‹ Aquaman â—‹ Martian Manhunter
But we all know that our characters have been acting a little bit differently and obviously, it all needs to make sense within the guild story and there needs to be enough of the original members to take part so, in a sense, it is both a yes and no answer.
It's a yes because obviously only Legacies can go and that's quite specific in and of itself but unless it makes sense canonically they cannot go; so, for example, the Newest Green Lantern who hasn't met anyone yet couldn't be somehow in on the plan because he hasn't talked to anybody about it. He hasn't been around long enough. Can the others trust him? These are all questions that need to be asked before you think of signing up. So please think carefully.
But it's also a no because any number of legacies could decide to want to bust into the Hall, as long as it made sense. We could have all sorts of combinations, as previously shown on shows such as JLU or even Young Justice featuring some of our animated favourites like:
Green Arrow â—‹ Hawkgirl â—‹ Vixen â—‹ Black Canary â—‹ Shazam
Or even a NEW52 roster, omitting certain characters. The spread is up to the people whom gather together to take on the hall. However, as mentioned before it has to make sense and it has to be pre-organized in the RP beforehand. It's not just happening people! We're building it up! We're making a story and we're making it stick! This is what it's all about! YAHOO! [is excited, sorry.]
So, anyone, as long as they are a Legacy can go?
Well... No. Unfortunately not. There are a few characters I am going to have to ask to forfeit the right to partake due to them not being able to make sense of it within the RP or other reasons such as character clashes or being too busy developing side-plots. I suppose there also is the issue of people having similar power-sets and making it really boring but I'll specify as and why certain people aren't allowed to partake. They are as follows:
â—‹ Ian Wickes - Green Lantern Legacy: Due to I [Roxas] functioning as the Dungeon Master for this event, as it is pretty much a Dungeon Crawl Scenario, Ian cannot and will not take part in the Hall of Justice event but will be tested in a different scenario involving his Trial on Thymescira with the Atlanteans. This will not only avoid inter-character relations but stop me from cheating as the DM. Simple.
â—‹ Vera Ravencroft [Conditional] - Zatanna Legacy: Due to your character's potential, I must ask you not to participate but allow Alan Cypher to take your place if he is willing to. I ask you this, not enforce it, so if you do partake it isn't really a big deal. I will somehow come up with something to test your ability. Not sure what yet but yeah.
â—‹ Alan Cypher [Conditional] - Constantine Legacy: If Zatanna does go, I will have to ask you not to. We need a Magical Legacy within the main forum. I already have a test devised for you and it just seems to make more sense for you as you have more interaction with the rest of the Legacy Cast, to take part.
â—‹ Marcel Porter - Arsenal Legacy: With GA going, I think we have enough Archers. Would you mind staying within the main forum to help activity? It would be much appreciated.

Simple, you respond to this message. You say as to how it would make sense for your character to go etc and provide a link to your profile.
I understand Grogan has already been putting together a team using his in character interactions; so hopefully, if he posts them up and those characters give it the okay, it should be alright and we can plug in the holes!
