That's not how it's supposed to work!

Yes... a Dream... Like a Memory... Wait! Is someone there? I can't see you! All I see is...

High Treason! You've been condemed to the Tower. Any last words?

N-no... not the Tower... High Treason?... what in Heavens name...?

Have you not realized what it is that is happening yet? Shall we rewind to see this entire memory replayed?

You-! You wouldn't!

Wouldn't I? I wish to see what it is that has put you in such a state, Omega. End of Hellenes... End of Time...

Omega... and you are...?

Dreams can be a powerful thing if one does not carefully watch what is happening within them. They can become a portal to one's Heart and Memory, or worse... the gateway to one's Soul. The discovery of another's Fear, Hatred and Love can be easily taken advantage of. Precautions were taken... or so I thought. One thousand years after Sora defeated the Organization 13 and saved Kingdom Hearts, Master Yen Sid came about to our home world to find the remaining Hellenes he could teach to continue on his legacy.

Aystria was dying. The Darkness of the worlds so many years ago had crumbled our society and turned many of us into Heartless, stealing the Lights of the Living and casting our world into a pit of despair. There was no hope for us, and we feared the worst. When Master Yen Sid appeared, our hopes were revived. He collected the last of us and took us to his home.

There were 23 of us, and I was the last. Omega became my name. Twenty-three to carry on his work... to carry on his legacy...

And then he perished. Our leader, our strongest member, Alpha, fought him and killed him. He had gone mad with power, his sanity having been taken over by a desire for more. More strength, more magic... more anything to be completed. It consumed his life and his soul.

We had to seal him away. In a long battle between twenty-two Hellenes versus one, twelve of us survived, the others dying at Alpha's hands. Finally, with the combined help of the remaining twelve, we were able to seal him away. He was locked in a Crystal Heart, sealed away within the Darkness of the Middle World.

That was 2 years ago... two years. Why didn't I see it? Why was I the only one who continued to be blinded by what was happening.

Fate has a terrible sense of humor...

Two years to the day; seven hundred and thirty days exactly, was when they striked. A mutiny of Hellenes, and I being the one they turned against. They dragged me from my quarters and took me to the High Tower. There, I was thrown at the feet of Xi, he who had chosen to take charge of this operation. Xi. He had seen how Alpha had become driven to insanity by his power-lust, and yet followed in his footsteps. His plan was to release Alpha, but to do so, he needed all twelve. I, naturally, refused. Angering him was something I had done countless times, but he could not kill me. I was needed for his "brilliant plan".

"Then you'll be arrested, and that will be that."

"Arrested? For what? For refusing to help you with your despicable plan? Did you forget the teachings of Master Yen Sid? How he saved us from our beloved dying Asytria?" I spat at his feet. "Filthy pig!"

His lips twitched. Xi's magical powers didn't compare to mine. He was weak against my emphatic abilities, for I could easily manipulate his control. He stood, glaring down at me as I was held captive by my former Hellenes, my wrists clasped by iron shackles. They had taken my staff, and I was rather helpless in my current situation. Helpless with magic, but not with words.

"Omega," he said, his tone bitter. He truly hated me. I had known that long since before Yen Sid found us. "Omega, you see.. our lives were indeed saved by Yen Sid. He did bring us here to train us in the arts but... Fate has a funny way of changing those things." He grinned like the Cheshire cat, evil intent spewing from every orifice like puss. He licked his lips and stepped closer to me. Even tied like this, he knew better than to come too close or touch me. "So I'll merely find another way. Ah yes... I know. Just like those before us, one thousand years ago, we will use the Darkness in People's Hearts. We will use Kingdom Hearts to free our Master from his tomb. Without too much of your help, naturally. We'll keep you alive for him to deal with. You can rot in the Sister Tower and watch your precious ideal worlds crumble like they should've all those years ago! Take her to the Tower. Hellene Omega of Aystria, you are hereby charged with High Treason!"

My eyes became wide with fear for the unsuspecting worlds. The Heartless... Kingdom Hearts? "N-no!" I cried out. "You can't! Don't you understand? You can't do that! Going back on our teachings-! Using Kingdom Hearts for your selfish desires... You're going to destroy us all!"

He waved me away. I struggled against them, my flame-colored hair falling in shreds around my face in panic. "NO! No you can't! You'll ruin the balance everyone risked their lives for! XI! What did Sora risk his life and his Heart for! Let me go!"

In the Tower they left me, locking the doors behind me and leaving me up in my prison. I felt like Belle when she met the Beast, cast aside in the bitter darkness of an evil that would soon bear down upon the Light. I cried. Clinging to the door I could not escape, I cried. From above, the stars twinkled and laughed at me as if they knew what would be coming. The stars... so many worlds above me.. so many would fall and their Lights fade. I choked back a sob and leaned toward the window, clasping my hands together. I peered up toward where our star was... Asytria. It had long since gone out, its Light fading behind us as we disappeared.

I did what any hopeless person did. I prayed.

So it was your prayer that sought Them out. You've started something you can't clean up... what will you do, Hellene Omega?

I will contact them through Dreams... much like how you are speaking to me, oh Nobody. What is your name?

Ha... You are smart. I knew you knew from the beginning, and yet you showed me your Memory. Once I answer your question, you must answer mine.

And then you will leave my Dream?

For the time being, yes. I will leave you be to wallow in your despair.

Then I accept.

Very well. My name is Arsax. I am the Misfit of Dreams. We are growing, Hellene Omega. Growing in numbers easily. While your Hellene Xi conquers worlds, he continues to create us... we will let him have his fun for now. When we are strong enough, we will strike... However, a part of me wishes to know if They will be able to defeat us... Now for my question: What did you pray for?

"Oh Light of Lights, and Hearts of Hearts... Save us. Once, a long time ago, you brought us three Strong Hearts to correct this mistake, and I ask if you send us Another. Let these Children of Light realize their path and send them to stop the Hellenes before it is to late. Heaven help Us, oh Light spare Us... oh Hearts protect Us."

Very well. Then... until we meet again, Hellene Omega. I wish you... pleasant Dreams.

I awoke to my dark room and wiped the tears from my eyes. The Nobodies were preparing themselves, the Hellenes were already stealing Hearts... Was my prayer heard? Please... Kingdom Hearts. To save yourself and Us, we need you.. .find those that will save Us.

Find us our new Keys of Light, and I will guide them...
