I actually agree with him, though for different reasons. Such tax exemptions but churches and other religious groups at the mercy of further government regulation. See for example what the IRS is doing to tax exempt political groups, laws passed banning 501(c)3's from doing anything 'political' around election time, etc. Outside of those exemptions, the Elders of the church can preach as God leads them, not as government instructs them.
