Natasha is from a very well off kingdom where the rich and royal are totally pampered and the poor are scraping to get by. she was born in a rich family though, but her father got ******** over by the king so they lost all their money. Natasha was obviously angry by this so she went to confront the king why he did that cus like that's not cool. the king was the sort of ruler who didn't really listen to his poorer subjects so he tried to send her away but she refused. so he had his royal guard kick her out. so she went home and saw how miserable her family was that she decided she would steal the royal gold from the king and see how he likes it. so she disguised herself and went back to the palace after everyone had slept. she managed to sneak into the treasury and grabbed all the loot she could find and stuffed it in a bag. then she found the king's royal trident and also stole that. and then she busted out and swam outside the kingdom to hide her loot where only she could find it. and then went home to watch the king break down over his precious gold being gone.
Now obviously the king was SUPER PISSED. and he already had a hunch on who it was that stole it. so his guards busted into Natasha's home and arrested not only her but also her parents and little brother as well. and they were thrown in the castle dungeon. she was questioned by the king where the royal gold was but she wouldn't tell at all. so the king was like "fine then" and decided her punishment would be banishment onto the land. so she was escorted to the shore and thrown onto a beach and left there to shrivel away and die. but as she was about to die she was found by a witch who said they would help save her cus this witch was cool. and the witch gave her a magic bracelet that when put on it would give her a human appearance and Natasha would be able to breath on land. and when she took it off it would turn her back into a mermaid. Natasha thanked the witch and said goodbye to her. she then went back into the ocean to get the gold that she stole cus she had buried it near the shore where she was dumped and then went back onto the land. she then set off to find a new place to live since she couldn't go back to her kingdom or to her family(but they were already executed so it's not like she could see them if she went back anyway)
