Almost every district on Omega is controlled by one of the three major gangs. Strangely enough, these tend to be the safest. Anybody who lives in these districts is forced into paying the respective gang protection money to help avoid siege from a rival district. The borders of these districts are heavily guarded and can suddenly turn into war zones. Residents are always advised against staying out of their homes for long.
