Summary:: -- Neptune was the name that ancient Romans gave to the god of the sea and earthquakes.
He was the brother of Jupiter and of Pluto . After the defeat of their father Saturn , the three brothers divided the world in three
parts to be ruled by one of the three brothers. Jupiter took the sky, Neptune the sea and Pluto the underworld. Neptune had the
reputation for having a violent temper. Tempests and earthquakes were a reflection of his furious rage. He was depicted as a
bearded men holding a trident and seated in a seashell drawn by sea-horses. One day Neptune saw the water nymph
Amphitrite dancing in the island of Naxos and fell in love with her. He promptly asked her to marry him but unfortunately
she refused. However, not discouraged by Amphitrite refusal, Neptune sent one of his servant, a dolphin to look for her. The dolphin
found her, and pleaded Neptune's cause so persuasively that she changed her mind. As a reward for finding and returning Amphitrite
to him, Neptune immortalized the dolphin by placing it in the heavens as the constellation Dolphinus. Neptune and Amphitrite had
several children. Among them was Triton whose name was given in 1846 by William Lassell to the principal moon of the planet Neptune.

:: Traits of his children ::

Children of Neptune are often very temperamental. They have a short fuse and rarely every hold their tongue when they are upset or angry. You will feel the full wrath if you ever cross them.
Children of Neptune also have the ability to be extremely mellow and calm. This double sided and slightly bipolar personality is similar to that of the see which can be steady and slow, or rippling with gigantic waves that could capsize a boat.
Children of Neptune love water sports, being in the water, and just hanging out by the beach. They feel at home near any body of water and can go through episodes of depression if they are away from it for too long.
Children of Neptune can be pretty rude and arrogant if they are not careful. They tend to be prideful in their heritage and like to rub how strong they are in anyone's face.

Children of Neptune can control and manipulate bodies of water to form waves and swallow enemy boats into the deep waters. The height of the waves depends on the strength of the child. The bigger the wave the more powerful the child.
Children of Neptune can create minor earthquakes at will. As usual, the power of the earthquake comes from the child. It can be from a minor tremor, to a full blown quake.
Children of Neptune can hold their breath underwater for extremely long periods of time. it can be anywhere from around eight minutes to a whole hour.
Children of Neptune can communicate and call upon sea creatures and equine animals to aid them in battle. Obviously you can call upon a whale to help you on land, and you can't have a horse help you in the water.
