Ok well, this is for a cosplay non-related to Homestuck, but it's still something I find quite troubling.
There are two characters I want to cosplay, and both stem from the same franchise: The Legend of Zelda
One character is Fado from Wind Waker, known as the 'Sage of Wind' and NOT the girl. He's the one that looks a lot like Link but with an upturned cap instead and really different tunic.
And, as fate may have it, I am having a difficult time with the tunic. There is this sort of...swirly design in it that i'm not sure of how to put on. A great example of an amazingly done cos for him would be here and, as you can see, has had a LOT of time and effort put into the end product. The thing is, though, the design was cut from cloth and then embroidered in, something I personally can't do. The little loincloth-like thing around the waist is much easier to do, granted it follows a similar embroidery style going on. I was wondering if there was an easier way to do this that someone can possibly recommend for me. If you can, i'd really appreciate it vuv.
Secondly, I would LOVE to cosplay the Happy Mask Salesman from Majora's Mask. Only problem is that I don't know how to make a paper mache mask that looks relatively decent and can withstand the test of time. Or maybe some other way to make masks in general that can be added on to in order to make them detailed and accurate. Any kind of mask-related help would be great really vuv;;;;
Thanks again, and hopefully you're all having a great day o u o
