So, what does everyone do for work? And how do you like your job?
Me? I work in a factory, mostly doing brazing and welding. It's not terrible, and I actually like the work I do. The people in charge...not so much. We've been on mandatory overtime for way too long, now, and there's no telling when it'll finally let-up.
I might be getting a promotion, though. ^^

I work at a gas station. I was a CNA, but got tired of it. Kaplan cancelled Phlebotomy course in Jan. So I'm hoping to go in march.
I like it. Despite me hating the s**t out of people.

MsBritt What promotions are there when it comes to welding? Congrats on the consideration, means your more than likely to get it. smile Well, it's not so much a promotion in welding, but in the company. If I get it, I become a lead. But there's 2 positions open for it (they want to have 2 leads, instead of only 1), and there's 5 of us who applied. So I may or may not get it, but I do like my chances. Also, even if I don't get it, I'm fine with it. The welding is just a component of the work I do. Some of the things we make require it, and some things don't. It's just all about what the customer in question wants. I make electric heating elements, by the way. Basically...if you have an electric oven, when you turn it on, you see that metal bar inside it that glows orange? I make that. But not just for ovens, but for anything that requires heating. It's all about what the customer wants, and what they want it for. They give us the specs, and we give them the product.

Not working right now. Personal reasons but I worked at walmart and will probably go back. I worked over nights before doing store set up (Not the same as stocking) they call it mod team. It wasn't bad and I made decent money.

yum_tea I work at a Rue21, it's a fashion-clothing store focused on marketing towards teenage and college age girls. It's alright, I get minimum wage and its not that hard of a job, but there tends to be drama and that sucks and is stressful. I love having a 25% discount though but I buy to many clothes sweatdrop

I use to work in a pharmacy witch is fine but where I live there is a lot of retirement homes and such so a lot of (Im just gonna say older people) older people living around here. Might not know this but older people are just mean. I have been spat on, called names and one lady tried to crawl across the counter at me. I was just the cashier and these people hated me for stuff I didn't even do or had no control over.

So kinda just have to take the good with the bad and let the bad go. Once I got home I would vent to my bf and then do something I like to help me not think about the crappy day I had. Its easy to get caught up in it so its best once you home to leave work at work.

I have my own business. I like it okay, but wish I had more energy to do more. I know eventually the long projects will be finished soon and I'll feel better, but until then they've become a little bit of a chore. I wouldn't trade it for anything though ^- ^
