Welcome to the Shipping Forecast!
Hey there members, Roxas here! Now, I'm not usually a big fan of the whole "shipping" thing and I wouldn't really say I'm a "shipper" but after a conversation that started in the Skype chat I was wondering whether or not we should do something about it. As you can see, I did decide to do something and so I opened this: The Shipping Forecast.
Now, the Shipping Forecast isn't somewhere to write Doujinshi or smut about two of your favourite characters from TV shows, games or whatever. It's a suggestion box. Simply put down which two guild characters you would "ship" [I hate that word] and your reasons as to why. This way, the RPers of those characters can see it, think about it and probably discuss it. You never know you may enrich their RP experience for the better!
There is no restrictions as to who you ship together as long as you can justify it in your reasoning. This can, if viable, include same sex couples. There's no homophobia here.

Shipping is an internet term for putting people together as a romantic couple. It's messed up in some cases but could be helpful for the guild if we use something like the Shipping Forecast.

Poison Pairing = In the most basic terms, the relationship is positive for one, but negative for the other. In the most common situation, one partner, the "poisoner", acts incredibly sweet, kind, and caring when he/she needs something, like information, a favor, etcetera, but treats their partner very poorly or ignores them completely the majority of the time. The one being "poisoned" will often refuse to leave their abusive partner out of "love", making excuses for their behavior, such as "oh, they were just having a bad day, I'm sure they didn't mean it", or "well, they were doing something important, I shouldn't have bothered them". They see their abusive partner through rose-tinted glasses, deluding themselves and justifying their blind loyalty with thoughts of the few and far between moments where the partner was sweet and kind. A classic example of a Poison Pairing would be the Joker and Harley Quinn. However, as I said previously, this is only the most common situation. Positive Pairing = This pairing is positive for both members. Their personalities and values mesh well together, and they understand each other. They are often described as completing or complimenting each other. Negative Pairing = In this pairing, both partners could be considered bad for the other. Their personalities and ideals clash quite a bit, creating an underlying tension between them at nearly all times. They are often found arguing. Even so, they usually make the relationship work somehow, much to the confusion of others. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Crack Pairing = A Crack Pairing is one that could never ordinarily happen, due to sexuality, moral allegiance, species differences, the fact that the two characters absolutely despise each other with an unbridled passion, or other such reasons. Roxas' Shipping Forecast!● Ian Paul Wickes - Green Lantern Legacy
● Ian's Main Personality
Even though Ian is a nice guy, clumsy, sweet and a great listener. However, these traits can be somewhat overshadowed by his inferiority complex; a complex that not only causes Ian to have zero self belief and self worth but also pushes Ian towards trying to reach an almost unattainable level of perfection. To reach this level of perfection he will often take on projects by himself from start to finish and without help, overloading himself with pressure and burying himself under work. He will also sometimes forsake social interactions in order to study or complete a task to the best of his ability, if needed. One should also note Ian has a lot of potential in almost every aspect.
So, when shipping Ian one must consider that even though he is a "nice guy" and somewhat nice looking, that he does not and probably will not see himself as such for a long time. Making it hard for him to be in a long term relationship with people he deems "too good" for him. This will give the "better half" all the power in the relationship but also put strain on their ship as Ian strives to prove himself when it is not needed.
● Ian's Current Position
Ian is currently racked with guilt over the Death's of Nathaniel Grant and the Atlanteans at Dropaway Beach during the Reign of Fear event. That coupled with his PTSD has his Inferiority complex in overdrive. He does not see himself worthy of affection, nor his power ring and his morale is at an all time low. So, with the addition of a new more confident Green Lantern in the form of Morgan Freeman when Ian is de-powered and weakened through his own mental blocks; it would be safe to say Ian is considering keeping but not actively using his ring. Once he comes back from Oa, he will resume a normal life and try to forget his life as a Lantern.
With this information, Ian is going to be extremely hard to ship. He's in a rut right now, a real rut and it's going to take a rather strong ship to be able to support the weight of his emotional turmoil. So, we must remember this once we begin shipping. However, we must also consider the possibilities at the end of this road if we are to really ship Ian alongside ideal partners.
● Ian's Possible Futures
As of right now there are only three possible futures for Ian and the third is highly unlikely. The first scenario, and the most ideal, is that with character development from either allies or a shipping partner Ian can come back better and stronger than before. This would mean accepting the death of Nathaniel and the Atlanteans, meeting the other legacies and even going to face justice for his actions in Atlantis. Once he moves on, his constructs, resolve and willpower will reach entirely new levels. He'd be finally on his way to reaching his potential as both a Lantern and a Civilian. To do this though, he would have to be in a good relationship that was not only positive but also equal.
The second scenario, probably the worst possible outcome for the guild, is Ian continues to bottle up his emotions and eventually explodes. His rage would probably warrant him a change of outfits from Green to Red and a date with Atrocitus. Naturally, it would be hard to ship him at this point. If you could at all.
The third scenario, which won't happen, is Ian ignores his duties as a Green Lantern and embraces a normal life. As interesting as it would be, with Darius in his care and Taliana on speed dial it's not going to happen. Doing this for a time would also isolate him from possible ships.

● Queen Arturia - Custom Hero ✚, =
Even though the two of them haven't met yet; from what information we have on the pair of them it's easy to say that the two of them would form a partnership on equal terms of a Medicinal nature. The reason I say medicinal is that the two of them, even though broken as individuals could help each other overcome their problems and through helping one and other become stronger themselves. And that's on top of the support they get from their partner.
The only problem is whether or not Johnathon would allow for it in his big brother like role in Arturia's life.
● Avianna Grandelle - Custom Hero ♡, ≠
It's hard not to fall for an Angel but for what it is it would be pretty unequal and empty because Ian would, like everyone else, know he's aiming to high with it. Even though he and Avianna are both nice, fun loving people their relationship would be plagued with Ian's doubt and fear. Avianna would have all the power and it would eventually unravel by itself.
● Zoë Eloise Archangel - Custom Hero ♥, =
Another angel like character but only this time, Zoe is still human and even though beautiful has more in common with Ian. Both are very artistic and sensitive souls. Her chatterbox-ness also compliments Ian's abilities to listen and empathise. I think that the two of them would actually work very well together in terms of a relationship, the only problem is that they haven't met.
● Arianna Jo Summer - Blue Lantern ✚ or x , =
Bound to be thrown together at some due to the fact that they are Blue and Green Lanterns; Arianna would naturally be a Medicinal ship for Ian. She would help him overcome the Reign of Fear and his PTSD. It doesn't seem like it will happen though due to Arianna's realtionship with Morgan. So, it could be interesting to see if this ship could work and how the Lantern group's dynamic would change but in all honesty, it would probably never happen. No matter the outcome though, I still believe the two will stand as equals.
● Taliana Lance - Black Canary Legacy ✚ or ♥ or even ♡, ≠
It would be hard to talk about shipping Ian without mentioning Taliana Lance whom he has been crushing on since his first real situation in the Ace o' Clubs. Attracted to the beautiful singer for not just her beauty but also her talent, Ian found even more to admire about Taliana when she saved him and revealed her secret identity. Even though the two got somewhat steamy, it is safe to say Taliana definitely has all the power in this ship. Even without the PTSD, Taliana is bold and out there whilst Ian is quite reserved.
It's this that gives this ship three distinctive paths. Taliana could be medicinal for Ian as her confidence would rub offf on him and his confidence would naturally improve having managed to land himself such a catch. However, his inferiority complex would also drive him to be somewhat jealous and unbelieving of Taliana. These negative feelings would probably manifest and push him over the edge and destroy their relationship entirely. But then again, if Ian could break through Taliana's thick skin he could get to her heart and see that they are more alike than he would first think.
● Nyx - Raven Legacy ✚ or ♥, =
Nyx was a rather unusual choice. One of the only two ships Periwinkle could find for Ian, I doubted it but eventually the more I thought about it the more I thought it would work. Both characters are somewhat introverted but Ian being Ian is friendly and kind and is probably one of the only people who could approach Nyx on an equal level. Both characters deal with certain themes and have similar values.
Maybe coaxing Nyx out of her shell could be therapeutic for Ian?
● Nikita Da-Nel - Supergirl Legacy x, =
Although Ian and this Daxamite Dame could approach one and other on equal terms with their personalities being somewhat similar: It would not work. Why? Nikita bounces from one extreme to the other too readily, whilst Ian is very in tune with his feeling and tries to exercise control over them. Unable to stand the whiplash, he would have to decline a second date.
● Kotand'r - Starfire Legacy x, ≠
Power goes to Kotand'r in this one and although many people would think it works, the social and sexual practices of Tamaraneans wouldn't settle well with Ian. Sex means something to him, he's very slow to allow anyone to be that intimate with him whilst Tamaraneans by culture are very much the opposite. What's more Kotand'r's want to be the centre of attention and just do as she pleases goes against Ian's better judgement.
● Vera Ravencroft - Zatanna Legacy ♡, ≠
Although entirely possible as a shipping pair, Ian and Vera would be something of a mismatch; Vera would give it a go whilst Ian was fully committed and to be honest, she'd eat him alive. Power definitely lies with Vera on this one and even though the two share a deep connection when it comes to compassion; Vera's other traits would unsettle Ian and eventually drive him to end the relationship.
● Nyura Amagai - Hawkgirl Legacy x, ≠
With how this Thanagarian is compared to Ian it just would kill him. She's a warrior and he's a computer nerd when it all boils down to it. She would eat him alive, spit out the bones and then club his soul to death with the bones. And in case you didn't realize... she also has all the power in this ship.

Grogan’s Shipping Forecast• Jonathan Price- Legacy of the Green Arrow• Jonathan’s Personality:
Jonathan is a complex guy. He’s witty, smart, and extremely cunning, the kind of guy you wouldn’t want as an enemy. He’s confident in himself and his abilities and will do his best not to let emotions cloud his judgment, but knows when a challenge is beyond his individual capabilities and thus will seek help. A born leader, he is the most likely person you can count on to take charge of a situation, to come up with the winning plan, and to lead a fight.
For all of his strengths though, he has more than a few flaws. He can be quite hot-blooded when he feels someone he cares about is threatened, one of the few times his emotions will cloud his judgment of a situation. He is also the kind of guy that will do everything he can to not fail and if he does fail, he will go into a deep depression because of it. Having blood on his hands because he killed a man that he didn’t mean to kill, he’s the kind of guy that will not kill if it is in anyways possible, only resorting to lethal force as a last resort.
When shipping for Jonathan, remember he is an intelligent guy. He will not jump into a long term relationship recklessly; he will consider every avenue. He considers how well a friend or lover will complement his own talents, how said relationship benefits him, and who will likely possess the power of the relationship. To Jonathan, he prefers to make the decisions and hates when he doesn't have a say, so he wants to have a good portion of the power in many relationships.
• Jonathan’s Current Position
Having been a major factor in the heroes victory at Metropolis, Jonathan is riding high on the feeling of success and his confidence is higher than ever. That being said though, he is one of the heroes most likely to consider the future: what if an attack on that caliber happens again? To that end, he will be one of the heroes to attempt to revive the Justice League to better prepare for such an attack.
He will not abandon his home city though, for there are rumors around of a new archer “hero”. He will investigate this man and find out whether a potential partnership will benefit both of them.
Shipping with Jonathan won’t be difficult or easy for him. He is however not really looking for love at this moment because he feels his duties as the Green Arrow and his project to revive the Justice League will take precedence, so keep that in mind before shipping with him. That does not mean that he won't take whatever romance comes his way, as Jonathan is a man who will take advantage of every opportunity in his path.
• Jonathan’s Possible Futures
As of this moment, there two possible futures for the young Green Arrow, though one is far more likely to happen than the other.
The first future is he and several of the other Legacies solve the challenges at the Halls of Justice and they decide to revive the Justice League. But when it came time to choose who will lead the new team, the majority chose Jonathan Price as that leader. His efforts to take charge of the cleanup at Metropolis and his surprising humbleness despite his looks and fortune, will paint him as a great leader. From there, there is no telling what the future holds for him. Surprisingly, this is the best possible future for any shipping with him because even though he has the burdens of command, he will be much more sociable and likable than his other future.
The second future is the Justice League is not formed at this time. Jonathan in that case will likely devote most of his time to his company, his gadgets, and his training. This dedication to his duties will make his social life stagnate, much like Batman’s. Shipping with him would be nearly impossible in a romantic sense, as he will become a far less likable person.Shipping Manifest Key:

Even though he has not gone around to admitting his own feelings about her to himself, much less her, the two of them make a very good pair. She is extremely traumatized and most would consider her to be broken, but Jonathan has the patience and kindness to slowly peel away her emotional trauma and woo her. She also is supportive of him and any endeavors he pursues. That being said, he will have most of the power between the two, but what makes this an equal relationship is the fact he will listen to whatever she has to say, even consider that she may be right. Even if their relationship never becomes romantic, there is enough chemistry and understanding between the two of them to make a very tight knit, and deadly, pair.
There is also the distinct advantage that she is currently living with him.
• Avianna Grandelle - Custom Hero ♡, ≠
As a Christian, he would believe Angels to be far above humans, so the case of Avianna would be empty and unqueal. Unequal in the sense that he would feel he would never be able to match to the assumed standards an Angel would have (which would be pretty damn high). It would also be incredibly empty because of this sense of the fact he doesn’t feel he holds the power of the relationship. That being said, though they will never be romantic, they could be deadly as a pair
• Zoë Eloise Archangel - Custom Hero ♥, =
Beautiful, artistic, and incredibly idealistic, Zoe is another relationship that could take a romantic turn. She has the ability to pull Jonathan out to enjoy life when work starts taking over his life, and he can listen to her pretty well despite her being a chatterbox. That being said, Jonathan would listen to any opinions she has, but more likely because Zoe would push for her opinions to be heard. The only obstacle that prevents this relationship from blossoming: they have never met yet.
• Arianna Jo Summer - Blue Lantern ✚,=,x
For a man with a lot of confidence, even Jonathan loses hope and wallows in the choices he made in the past. A person like Arianna could help heal the emotional wounds he has, even if they aren’t as deep as another hero’s. A relationship between the two would be equal, both of them take charge at certain times and she can help pull him away from his work if he gets too engrossed in it. But there are two obstacles in his way: Morgan Freeman, and the fact she has duties to other people as a Blue Lantern. That’s why this relationship is not likely to happen.
• Taliana Lance - Black Canary Legacy ♡,≠,x
Ah Taliana Lance, Jonathan’s childhood friend. Jonathan knows more about Taliana than almost every other woman he’s met. And that is exactly why he has never, ever, considered a more serious relationship with her. For starters, they consider each other as siblings, so if anything sexual comes out of it, they would feel intense regret afterwards. Second, their personalities will clash because they are way too similar. A man with great confidence versus a woman who is very sure of her own abilities would fight each other for dominance. So even though they could work very effectively as a team, if they can come to terms with their clashing philosophies, Jonathan will always be in the friendzone with Taliana, something he is quite okay with.
• Nyx – Raven Legacy ♥ ≠
Nyx has several attributes that are similar to Evie in the fact that she is very introverted and incredibly traumatized. But unlike with Evie, Jonathan would feel uneasy about Nyx. It would be an unequal relationship because Jonathan would feel a sense of dread around Nyx. Not only because of her heritage, but because he would feel like she won't share as much about herself as he does about himself. Also yes, she is a nice girl, but when you control shadows, even a man like Jonathan would be uneasy around you. If he can get over these feelings, a romantic relationship could be possible.
• Nikita Da-Nel - Supergirl Legacy x, =
Jonathan’s tolerance will be taxed to the limit with Nikita, as her spunk and wildly shifting emotions would be very irritating with him. As a man who prizes his ability to understand people, Nikita would be one person he would have a hard time studying. A relationship beyond a professional level just won’t be possible.
• Kotand'r - Starfire Legacy x, =
Jonathan and Kotand’r would have an easy time getting along. Both are very confident people and know how to have fun and enjoy life, and he’ll have no issues letting Kotand’r have her freedom. The issue of a relationship between the two is cultural: Tamaranean culture is more open about sex and nudity. Jonathan prefers any intimate affairs to be private. So although they would be a killer pair at a club, when it comes to the afterparty, it’s not going to happen.
• Vera Ravencroft – Zatanna Legacy x, ≠
There are several things that Vera and Jonathan share: both are witty, humorous, compassionate, and intuitive. But although she will likely give Jonathan a chance, there are a lot of issues with shipping these two. It would be like a mental chess match between the two, each trying to get an edge over the other, and although it would be a more friendly match, Jonathan will have to keep one thing in mind: that although they could match wits with each other, she can turn him into a newt if he pisses her off. It won’t proceed beyond friends with these two.
• Nyura Amagai - Hawkgirl Legacy x, ≠
It’s a no go for shipping these two. Nyura is a warrior woman through and through, with a temper to match. Jonathan Price knows when he is outmatched, and there is no way he will have any power in this relationship.
• Amar’e – Custom Hero =, x
Another Tamaranean, Amar’e is just as broken as Evie, but the main difference between the two is how they handled it. Amar’es’ confidence, snark, and stubbornness match Jonathan’s, and it would be difficult for Jonathan to get her to open up. That being said, he is patient, and she can trust to open up for him. But the reason why he won’t be able to be shipped with her is the same reasons he can’t be shipped with Kotand’r: cultural. That and her impulsive and hot-blooded attitude clashes with Jonathan’s careful planning, which would likely set up Leeroy Jenkins situations that he’ll have to plan around. So although he can trust she will demolish every obstacle in front of her, he isn’t sure if she won’t get pissed off at him and does the same to his face.

Luke’s Shipping Forecast• Darius Allen- Legacy of the Flash• Darius' Personality:
Darius isn't very hard to figure out. Witty, Sarcastic, Lax, & Outgoing. He's smart to a degree that even a sheep woman couldn't pull the wool over his eyes, but confident enough to let his guard down, and expect the world to just run right. He's not to stuck on feelings or emotions but he's extremely caring when it comes to those he really cherishes, and will go out of his way to ensure their happiness.
He's generally a great guy, but every thing comes with flaws. Darius' happen to be his cocky attitude which tend to play on in arguments or conversations he has with women, which can also be used as a strength but it's more a win-lose quality. He's a bit careless when it comes to things that he may feel are not really that important, which is another things that brings him issues. He's also what some would call a "Sex Addict". The meaning of the word "Stop" for most Speedsters is somewhat difficult to comprehend. Darius is not exempt from this.
When Shipping for Darius, remember he's a speedster constantly in motion so he needs someone who can slow him down and keep him around, or keep up with him.
• Darius' Current Position
Darius has been holding down the fort in Gotham with Batman and Vera, and although he is almost piss his pants afraid of Batman he finds himself still capable of giving the heroes an upper hand, and still feels he is "The s**t". But he also seems to have found himself infatuated with Vera and would not want to miss any chance to take her out at the moment.
Shipping with Darius usually follows a darker tone, or a more mysterious tone. Someone he can chase, being stuck on Vera right now the choices might not be accepted but he's willing to try anything once.
• Darius' Possible Futures
Um, Darius's future isn't really clear, of course he will go back to living with Ian for a while but technically he had been accepted to MU as well and should be setting up his final arrangements from taking online classes in Central City to moving into a dorm since he's now based in Metropolis for a little even though he will have to keep watch on Central City while he's there.
So shipping won't be difficult but it'll need to involve someone who's either willing to wait or mobilizing just as much as he is.Shipping Manifest Key:

Um, they haven't met but being who he Darius is bound to play around with her emotions way too much,and take advantage of her quiet nature to do as he pleases. He would think she was sweet and enjoy making her blush, but her overly kind nature would only serve to be an underling to Darius' inner jerk. That and he doesn't like crying.
• Avianna Grandelle - Custom Hero ✚, ≠
Avianna would only serve as an ego boost to Darius. He would treat her as the Angel she was but would only feel guilty if he did anything with her. Her loyalty would be the greatest part of their relationship but would go unequal seeing as Darius is still Human even with the speed force and can only be so loyal. Though an interesting and helpful couple to both each other and the world, they would be unequal.
• Zoë Eloise Archangel - Custom Hero ♥, =, x
Foreign, Darius has always had a thing for Foreign girls, and would try fervently to pursue her, that said. It is likely he would do his best to keep her as happy as possible, and seeing as she too is a pleaser it could workout for the better between them. But after a while Darius would probably say something that would vex Zoe and her not speaking to him would be his indication to walk, so it wouldn't really work because, well Darius is a bit of an asshat.
• Arianna Jo Summer - Blue Lantern ♥,=,✚
Ever since he's been here Darius has been looking for hope, a sign that his whole life wasn't some messed up reality warp and he was only here to replace his father who had disappeared, Arianna's hopeful demeanor would help heal that wound in him, as well as serve for his light in the dark.
Being a stoner Darius is always in the clouds even if they aren't always hydrogenated oxygen clouds, and he's the kind of person who would listen to any dream as well as let his be heard. Being as strong minded as she is, Darius could have someone to rival his cocky nature, and ground him when needed.
Let's not forget she loves to race, if there is one thing Darius loves is a fast woman, and would gladly take her on at anytime, but with the reappearance of Morgan that may not be possible
• Taliana Lance - Black Canary Legacy ♥, x
Taliana, Taliana. Two of a kind her and Darius, both witty and flirtatious, and willing to go for no strings relationship, the relationship between the two would last a while being as they would both be in Metropolis heroing around, they would see each other often, they'd be able to stabilize each other, but seeing as they are both free spirits it'd be impossible for one to hold the other down, and it would only lead to a dead end.
• Nyx – Raven Legacy x, ♡
Darius doesn't have the patience to get Nyx to trust him, and even if he did the sarcastic battles they would have would only end in two scenarios him, on a couch, or angry sex. The relationship just wouldn't work.
• Nikita Da-Nel - Supergirl Legacy ♥, =
Another fun lover much like Darius, the fact that she's literally able to keep up with him, while heroing and when not is a great thing. Her and Darius would be able to go out whenever they wanted which would most likely be at the same time as the other, and even when they didn't they could sit upon a rooftop and just relax. Her reserved quality might get to him a little but Darius was never really a prier. The only issue that they would have would be the relationship neglect she seems to do to keep herself from realizing her romance.
• Kotand'r - Starfire Legacy ♥ , ≠
Darius loves to be the center of attention in a fight. But other than that he's the aloof guy in the background chatting it up with whoever is willing. He can deal with the outgoingness,and being a free spirit, all that is him, but as it is.Darius has the demeanor of a womanizer which would deter Kotand'r, and although he loves giving a good heave ho to the ol'crack down under, being a Tamaranean Kotand'r is bound to try something over the top with Darius, and while that's great sporadically after a while he'll want to just you know be normal.
• Vera Ravencroft – Zatanna Legacy ♥, =
Darius has already seen her as his choice of affection, but her personality is a great match to his own, compassionate, intuitive, laid-back, & sarcastic all things that go along with Darius' caring, cocky, laid-back, and witty standings. They would compliment each other in a couple sitting even though it's likely they wouldn't couple up till late at night for a good bout of cuddling, and rough fornication, and then some chatter and late night munchies, which would lead to Darius falling asleep with her in arm, and her sneaking out after she is sure he is fully unconscious. But none the less an interesting shipping.

• Amar’e – Custom Hero =, ♡
Amar'e isn't really a match for Darius, but he's always had a thing for women with a drive, women who's impulse drove them more than their mind, it proves for a more spontaneous relationship,her bluntness would only be a matching force to his sarcasm. Darius though has little patience and stubbornness is something that'll bring the jerk out of him quick, so it'd really just be a relationship of great opportunities but unequal feeling and appreciation.
